ADJD enhances vocational empowerment opportunities for inmates in partnership with Strata
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Strata Manufacturing to implement specialized vocational training programs for inmates in correctional and rehabilitation centers. The initiative aims to equip inmates with industrial and technical skills that will support their reintegration into the labor market upon completing their sentences. Under the MoU, Strata will establish technical workshops within the correctional centers, providing inmates with hands-on industrial experience and advanced technical training under the supervision of qualified trainers, the programs will be delivered within a structured framework that aligns with rehabilitation goals, offering a comprehensive educational experience that boosts inmates' readiness for professional integration. His Excellency Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, emphasized that the initiative aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of ADJD, to strengthen vocational empowerment for inmates through strategic partnerships with national institutions that contribute to human development and community security. He highlighted the partnership with Strata as a practical model of institutional cooperation within the UAE, supporting rehabilitation and reintegration pathways. This collaboration offers inmates the opportunity to build a better future post-release through a correctional environment that addresses various aspects of life and fosters a positive transformation. It also contributes to reducing recidivism and achieving long-term social impact. Al Abri added that the initiative reflects ADJD's vision of transforming correctional facilities into productive rehabilitation platforms, by partnering with leading institutions like Strata, the department ensures that inmates receive certified training opportunities that pave the way for effective entry into the labor market after serving their sentences, granting them a fresh start based on productivity and responsibility. The Strata delegation at the MoU signing ceremony was headed by Ismail Ali Abdulla, Executive Director of the Strategic Complexes Unit in the Investment Sector at Strata. He reaffirmed the company's commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to supporting initiatives focused on human development and socio-economic stability through education, training, and empowerment.

Strata begins production of Trailing Edges for Pilatus PC-12
The Trailing Edge is a critical wing component responsible for generating lift and managing drag during flight. Strata Manufacturing, wholly owned by the Mubadala Investment Company and a leader in advanced manufacturing in the United Arab Emirates, has completed the delivery and inspection requirements for the first article of the new Trailing Edge package for Pilatus PC-12, The Most Advanced Single-Engine Turboprop Aircraft. In 2024, Strata received Pilatus approval for the new PC-12 package. By the end of Q1 2025, Strata had delivered 59 shipsets, comprising a total of 590 Trailing Edge components. The Trailing Edge is a critical wing component responsible for generating lift and managing drag during flight. Since 2018, Strata has supplied nearly 1,000 shipsets representing more than 26,000 components directly from Al Ain City in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE, to Pilatus in Switzerland. These shipsets cover a wide range of aircraft packages for the PC-24 Super Versatile Jet and PC-12 models. Since the beginning of its collaboration with Pilatus in 2018, Strata has been entrusted with the production of several major work packages, including: Flap Track Fairings, Belly Fairings, Bullet Fairings, Tail Cones, Pylon Fairings, Internal Floor Panels, and Cockpit Interior Panels for the PC-24, as well as Interior and now Trailing Edge components for the PC-12.

Emirati women take the lead in UAE's evolving industrial sector

Among the standout voices was Mariam Al Jaberi, Head of Production at Strata Manufacturing, who shared her inspiring journey from technician to industry leader. Speaking to Aletihad after the panel discussion of influential female industrialists hosted by the Abu Dhabi Exports Office (ADEX), Al Jaberi reflected on her 14-year journey at the Al-Ain based aircraft component producer - one of the UAE's flagship manufacturing success stories. "I started in Strata in 2011 as a technician working on aircraft parts for the Airbus A330," she said. "Strata helped me by providing the right training - one year and a half of theory and practical work, completing 1,700 hours to become a qualified technician. Today, I lead all the business units, fabrication, shared services, and assembly."Al Jaberi's story is emblematic of a broader transformation in the UAE's industrial sector, where many Emirati women are not only participating but leading teams. The ADEX-hosted session brought together a distinguished group of women leaders from across the industrial ecosystem, highlighting the UAE's commitment to gender inclusion as a driver of economic Al Jaberi, the inclusion of women at every level of the company is not symbolic but strategic. "In Strata, we have a mix of both genders but over 78% of our staff are women.
