‘One Piece' Casts Mikaela Hoover as Tony Tony Chopper; Netflix to Release Season 2 in 2026
'One Piece' Season 2 will set sail on Netflix in 2026 with actor Mikaela Hoover joining the live-action series as the voice of fan-favorite character Tony Tony Chopper. Hoover ('Beef,' 'Superman,' 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) also does the facial capture for the little reindeer-human hybrid doctor who will be teaming up with pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his band of Straw Hats. The teaser was released on May 27, just days before the One Piece cast will make an appearance at Netflix TUDUM 2025 in Los Angeles on May 31. Luffy, a misfit who teams up with an eccentric crew to become the King of the Pirates. The second instalment of the show will feature characters like the cigar-chomping Marine captain Smoker, who is set to be one of the crew's biggest enemies. Joe Manganiello will play Mr 0, the head of criminal organisation Baroque Works. Dr Kureha, an ally of the Straw Hats, and her eccentric colleague Dr Hiruluk will also appear in the series. The second season will follow the Straw Hats as they sail for the Grand Line. They will encounter new enemies and some notable antagonists as they escape from Buggy and Alvida pirate gangs. One Piece Season 2 release date: The countdown for the second season of One Piece, a live-action pirate adventure series, has begun. According to the media reports, Netflix will announce the official release date of One Piece Season 2 during TUDUM on Friday, May 31.
