Snoop Dogg Claims He 'Bought Everything' Suge Knight Owns On New Song

Snoop Dogg didn't hold back on his new album Iz It a Crime? where he came for Suge Knight on the track 'ShutYoBi**hA**Up' — calling out the former Death Row boss for lying, snitching, and even being salty over Snoop's 2022 takeover of the iconic label. On the Stresmatic-featuring song, Snoop delivers bars dipped in decades of resentment, aimed squarely at his former label boss, although he never says his name. Over a West Coast bounce, he raps: 'I can see why you mad. I bought everything you own.' Claiming that Suge has been 'snitching' he adds, 'Now you in PC snitching on the phone/ Oh, bi**h-a** ni**a, I'm a rich-a** ni**a/ Waiting for you to get home so we can get the sh*t on.' He also alleges that Suge's jailhouse stories are 'made up.' Listen below. Snoop and Suge's beef dates back to 1998 when Snoop dipped out of Death Row Records amid chaos, courtroom drama, and Knight's looming legal issues. Fast forward to 2022, and Snoop's now the proud owner of the infamous label. Earlier this year, Suge spoke on Snoop's acquiring of the label from behind bars. Doubting Snoop's purchase of Death Row, he demanded to 'see the paperwork,' and even tossed out a wild accusation that Snoop admitted to financing Tupac's murder. 'Snoop, you said I'm mad because you bought Death Row,' Knight said at the time. 'What you buy? Shut me up. Show me where y'all paid the money to buy it. Show me the paperwork. Show me what you own.' Fed up with his remarks, Snoop fired back on Instagram with a slick post: 'This ni**a won't stop talking about me. Mad 'cause I own Death Row. I realize your real lies.' In a more recent interview with Big Boy, the 'Drop It Like It's Hot' rapper explained why he finally put their issues on wax: 'You can't keep throwing rocks at me and bullying me and think I ain't gon' say nothing… I can't do nothing. 'Cause you in PC. But I can say something.' Iz It a Crime? dropped on Wednesday (May 14) with 21 tracks including features from Pharrell Williams, Sexyy Red, Wiz Khalifa, LaRussell, and October London. The title track even reimagines Sade's iconic ballad with an '80s slow jam/modern-day Hip-Hop twist. Listen to the full album below. Sean 'Diddy' Combs tried to ambush Suge Knight with guns, his trial heard. What to know about the hip-hop heavyweights' feud.

The sex-trafficking trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs heard that the hip-hop mogul planned to ambush his long-term rival, Marion "Suge" Knight, with guns at an LA diner in 2008. If Diddy succeeded, he could have reignited a long-running beef between the East and West Coast hip-hop communities. Last week, Cassie Ventura, Diddy's ex-girlfriend, testified at his trial in Manhattan that he left his rented mansion in LA during a " freak-off" in 2008, after learning that Suge was at a diner nearby. Cassie said Diddy and other men covered their heads, grabbed guns, and drove to the diner. On Tuesday, David James, Diddy's former personal assistant, testified that he drove him and a trusted security guard to the restaurant, but Suge left before they arrived. "It was the first time I realized my life was in danger," James said, adding that he quit soon after the incident. Here's what to know about the feud between Suge and Diddy. Suge and Diddy were at the centre of the '90s hip-hop rivalry linked to the deaths of Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G. Hip-hop originated in 1970s New York City, but by the '80s and '90s, multiple rappers, including Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, emerged on the West Coast. A rivalry soon emerged between Suge's Death Row Records on the West Coast, which he co-founded in 1991, and the East Coast's Bad Boy, founded by Diddy in 1993. In 1994, Tupac Shakur, a West Coast rapper, survived being shot five times at Quad Studios in Manhattan during a robbery. Tupac believed the Notorious B.I.G. (Biggie) of Bad Boys Records and Diddy were involved, which they denied. In response, Tupac joined Death Row Records in 1995, and the it released his diss track "Hit 'Em Up" in 1996, which targeted Diddy, Biggie, Bad Boy Records, and other East Coast rappers. In 1996 and 1997, respectively, Tupac and Biggie were killed in drive by shootings. Both crimes remained unsolved, with many speculating without evidence that Diddy and Suge were involved, which they both deny. In 2023, Duane Keith "Keffe D" Davis, a former leader of a California street gang known as the South Side Compton Crips, was charged with murder, with prosecutors alleging he organized Tupac's death. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told People in 2024 that Diddy was never considered a suspect for Tupac's murder. After Tupac and Biggie died, rappers on both sides, including Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Nas, and Ice Cube, attempted to cool down tensions between the two rap communities. Suge is serving a 28-year sentence for manslaughter The beef faded from the public eye, and major stars like Dre and Snoop Dogg left Death Row Records in 1996 and 1998, respectively, and the company filed for bankruptcy in 2006. In 2022, Snoop became its new owner. Suge is in prison in San Diego, after he was charged over the fatal hit-and-run of Terry Carter, a business associate, while on the set of the 2015 movie "Straight Outta Compton." In 2018, Suge pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 28 years in prison. Despite his feud with Diddy, Suge told NewsNation's show " CUOMO" in September 2024 that he was not celebrating his rival's arrest. "I don't jump and cheer for no Black man or any other human being going to prison," Suge said. "That man has kids, and whatever affects him definitely affects his kids." Suge alleged at the time that Diddy was sexually abused by other people in the industry and said Diddy repeated that abuse on other people. Legal representatives for Diddy declined to comment when contacted by Business Insider. Legal representatives for Suge did not immediately respond to a request for comment from BI.

Diddy Stopped 'Freak-Off' To Confront Suge Knight In Los Angeles, Cassie Testifies

During her bombshell testimony against Sean 'Diddy' Combs Tuesday (May 13), Cassie Ventura alleged that one of their 'freak-offs' was put on hold so that the Bad Boy founder could confront rival Suge Knight at a Los Angeles diner. The 'Me & U' singer made the reveal during the second half of her testimony Tuesday (May 13) as she detailed having a 'freak-off' in LA that Puff cut short after hearing Knight was at a nearby restaurant. 'We were having a freak off in one of his homes in L.A. and he said Suge was at Mel's Diner and we packed up and drove down there,' Ventura testified, as per NBC. 'I was screaming and crying, 'Please don't do anything stupid.' I didn't know what they were going to do.' While Ventura didn't go into further detail, Puff and Suge's longstanding rivalry stretches all the way back to the 1990s East Coast vs West Coast rap feud that led to the deaths of both Knights' Death Row artist, Tupac Shakur, and Puff's Bad Boy artist, The Notorious B.I.G. More recently, Suge — who is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence — teased that he knows 'secrets' about Diddy's past. 'I'll tell you what, Puffy, your life is in danger 'cause you know the secrets of who's involved in that little secret room you guys are participating in,' Suge said on his Collect Call with Suge Knight podcast September 2024. 'You know they gonna get you if they can… I turned myself in. Sometimes you gotta face the music, that's most of the time.' Knight further taunted, 'Puffy, I'm gonna give you some real advice. Two quick things. You gotta make a decision. When you go to prison, either you're gonna be standing up pi**ing or squatting, sitting down pi**ing'. I advise you to try to take the first one 'cause if you squatting and pi**ing you know what that means. Do not do your time going by Brother Love. Brother Love is not a good code name.' Combs is currently on trial for racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.
