Must protect national unity, Noida DM on Independence Day

Independence Day
at district magistrate offices in Ghaziabad and Noida on Friday.
In Ghaziabad, DM Ravindra Kumar Mandar urged citizens to adopt indigenous products for self-reliance and balance economic growth with environmental conservation.
"The more we use products made in our own country, the more self-reliant India will become," he said.
The DM also honoured the President's Medal awardee, Dr Sujeet Kumar Prasad, for his 22 years of service and bravery in the Civil Defence unit. Jaswant Saini, minister of state in the UP govt, was also present at the event and praised Sujeet's role in public safety.

In Gautam Budh Nagar, DM Medha Roopam addressed the gathering of district officials.
"This day fills us with pride, but it also reminds us of our duties. Along with our rights, we must protect national unity, follow the law, and serve society," she said.
A celebration was also held at Noida's Panchsheel Balak Inter College, where Saini was the chief guest. He planted trees under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign and honoured the families of martyrs. "We can never repay the debt of our martyrs, but building the India of their dreams will be a true tribute," he said. He called on citizens to support indigenous entrepreneurs and embrace the Vocal for Local movement.
The celebrations also included cultural performances from several schools and a Tiranga Mela, showcasing products made by women's self-help groups, which attracted strong public interest.
