Sydney Sweeney stuns as she welcomes new family member - but fans have same question
Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney has introduced fans to her new family member months after her split from film producer fiance Jonathan Davino Sydney Sweeney has showed off her new family member on social media - a cute puppy named Sully. In a sweet video clip, the 27-year-old Euphoria and White Lotus star is seen cuddling her new pet on a boat. The actress - who it's rumoured could be the next Bond girl - displayed her long tanned legs in a black, long-sleeved surfer style swim suit. The song 'Good Dog' played over the top of the clip, which she captioned: "Sully update." She first introduced German Shepherd Sully to her 25 million Instagram followers in April when she shared a snap with the caption: "Introducing sully bear. So far in our two weeks together he's become my set best friend, my bowling partner, my nap buddy, mutual water enthusiast, and travel companion." He has even been pictured with her on the cover of The Sunday Times Style magazine, which she captioned: "Sully's first cover." But fans have been asking where her other pitbull dog Tank is, who hasn't featured on her social feed in a grid post since August last year when he appeared on the cover of Dogue - the doggy version of Vogue magazine. "Where's tank?" one concerned fan asked, as another replied: "I was looking for this comment! What happened to her dog? She was always talking about him/her (idk) and now poof- gone?" A third commented: "Is Tank okay? "That's what I wanna know!!" said a fourth. "Hey where's Tank though?" asked a fifth. Sydney revealed she's had Tank since she was 17 years old and would even take her to school with her, where she became a kind of 'class pet'. In the past she has opened up about how Tank plays a big role in her mental health, telling PEOPLE magazine: "My dog, Tank, really is so important in my own self-care process. Whether it's just playing with her, taking her to the dog park or taking her on a walk. It just lets me take a moment and unplug from everything else." Though Tank hasn't featured on Sydney's socials recently, there's nothing to suggest she has passed away. But fans noted she did get new pup Sully shortly after her break up with film producer fiance Jonathan Davino earlier this year. The pair had been together seven years and were set to marry this May, but Sydney reportedly cancelled the ceremony as she "couldn't handle the stress." The pair are also said to have had "major issues" over her rising career which took up a lot of her time. And fans aren't holding out much hope of a reconciliation, with one writing on Reddit: "Oh she's done done. When a woman replaces the longtime BF with a dog, she's making it so clear." Another said: "No dog has ever disappointed me in my entire life, every man though..."

Prime Video just added this action movie starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg — but critics and fans disagree strongly on whether it's good
Prime Video just added one of the most divisive video game adaptations ever to its deep library of movies. I'm, of course, talking about "Uncharted," the action movie starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, based on the Naughty Dog video game series of the same name. But while Naughty Dog's most famous video game adaptation — "The Last of Us" — would arrive a year later to near-universal acclaim, this 2022 film was derided by critics, earning a putrid 41% on the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. However, audiences strongly disagreed with the critics, rating it a "Verified Hot" 89% on the site. They also drove the film to an impressive $407.1 million at the box office. Having seen it in theaters myself, I have to say I side with the fans on this one. Here's what you need to know about 2022's "Uncharted" and why it's worth watching now that it's on Prime Video. "Uncharted" stars Holland as Nathan "Nate" Drake, a kleptomaniac bartender in New York whose brother, Sam (Rudy Pankow), left him behind in an orphanage as a kid and became a professional treasure hunter. But despite that abandonment, the two still stayed in contact via postcards Sam would send, until one day, they stopped. At the same time that is happening, one of Sam's associates, Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Wahlberg), comes to Nate with an offer to help him find the lost treasure of Ferdinand Magellan's crew, which Sam had been helping Sully hunt down. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. 30-day free trial for Amazon Prime! Why pay for Prime Video when it's included with Amazon Prime? Try it free for 30 days. Wanting to find out what happened to Sam, Nate agrees to team up with Sully. That leads them to an auction where they cross paths with the dangerous Santiago Moncada (Antonio Banderas) and his chief lieutenant Braddock (Tati Gabrielle), and they only just manage to escape. So they head to Barcelona to recruit another one of Sully's contacts, fortune hunter Chloe Frazer (Sophia Ali). Just from that synopsis, you can already tell that "Uncharted" isn't lacking for star power on its call sheet. The movie's cast is loaded with it. It's also pulling from some beloved source material. Like with "The Last of Us," fans really love the world that Naughty Dog built in the "Uncharted" game series and were definitely excited to see it on the big screen. I'm not sure this movie delivered on that last front, certainly not to the level that "The Last of Us" season 1 would the following year. But this movie is fun to watch, copying the template set by numerous fun action-adventure movies before it — the same movies the "Uncharted" games frankly ripped off for their premise. In their review for Variety, Owen Gleiberman called the movie "Raiders of the Lost National Treasure of the Fast & Furious Caribbean." While they meant that derogatorily, I think it's a spot-on assessment of why you'd want to watch this movie. Sure, it's a pale imitation of something like "Raiders of the Lost Ark" (though I'm not sure it's that far off "National Treasure"), but not every movie can be "Raiders," something that every subsequent "Indiana Jones" movie has proven multiple times over. Sometimes, you just need a fun, dumb action movie with some stars. On that front, "Uncharted" delivers, and most fans who have seen it clearly agree. Stream "Uncharted" on Prime Video now Malcolm has been with Tom's Guide since 2022, and has been covering the latest in streaming shows and movies since 2023. He's not one to shy away from a hot take, including that "John Wick" is one of the four greatest films ever made. Inside the Episode That Earned ‘The Rehearsal' Emmy Nominations
'The Rehearsal' may not have achieved liftoff among the Emmy nominees for Best Comedy Series, but Nathan Fielder's Season 2 exploration of cockpit communication and airplane safety — via the best-produced, often highest concept scenarios that HBO's money can buy — did break through in the Writing, Directing, and Picture Editing categories. Editor Adam Locke-Norton was justly recognized for managing the two-year flashback to Fielder's pilot training and making his 737 flight in 'My Controls' one of the most involving season finales of recent memory. But Fielder's own Writing and Directing nominations, and editor Stacy Moon's nod, were all for 'Pilot's Code,' aka, the one where Nathan Fielder lives as Sully Sullenberger, down to recreating the airline pilot's earliest life with giant puppet parents. More from IndieWire The Hawkins Crew Prepares for Battle in 'Stranger Things 5' Season Teaser I Saw Firsthand Just How Much Even the Idea of Rosie O'Donnell Got Under Donald Trump's Skin That episode was a huge lift for the entire crew on 'The Rehearsal,' some of whom have been empowering (enabling?) Fielder's concepts since 'Nathan For You.' IndieWire was able to reach out to cinematographer Marco Codero, costume designer Briana Jorgenson, and makeup department head Katie Machaiek about the invisible army (air force?) of artists who all helped — at the risk of making an Evanescence pun — bring 'Pilot's Code' to life. The 'personality transfer' sections of Episode 3, as Fielder lays out his intentions to live Sully's life up to his 'Miracle on the Hudson' emergency landing, required a very fine balance in terms of how the show would visually treat them and treat Fielder himself. Prosthetics are now in a place where an actor can vanish into them completely, so much of a transformation would the show's protagonist actually undergo? What would be funniest? 'One of the biggest choices was keeping Nathan's eyebrows natural throughout, even as Baby Sully,' Machaiek told IndieWire. 'As he reminds the audience in voiceover, his reasoning for becoming Sully is personal, not to make a cinematic biopic. It's a play within a play — his eyebrows remind the audience we're watching Nathan as Sully and keep them in on the joke.' Likewise, Cordero didn't want to make any changes to the way the camera team shoots the HBO series in order to create a more immersive view of Nathan-As-Sully living the beats of Sullenberger's life. 'There's something funny about photographing these sequences in a straightforward way, as though they're no different to the documentary crew than any other moment they've captured on Nathan's behalf,' Cordero told IndieWire. 'Still, there were a few details we toyed with. In the nursery, we used the beam of a 20K to act as an exaggerated sun beam, accenting tiny Sully versus the giant furniture and parents, and the camera operators were wheeled around on scaffolds to get good eye lines from the giant parents down to Sully.' Clothing is always one of the most immediate ways we can get a sense of a different time or place, and Jorgenson started with exactly what designers on period shows from 'The Gilded Age' to 'Forever' always do: meticulous research. '[The costume team] worked off actual photos of Sully Sullenberger through various stages of his life as a point of reference and anchor for the different time periods,' Jorgenson told IndieWire. 'For the 1950s-era Baby Sully, custom pieces were created from era-accurate cloth diapers to a vintage-inspired nightgown worn during the nursery scene.' The costume team also worked with production designer Rosie Sanders and the team from Viva La Puppet to create the look for the puppet mother [Pauline Sullenberger] as well as for Taylor Krasne, the actress who plays Fake Pauline, since their dresses needed to be designed in a way that makes sense for the puppet to breastfeed Baby Sully. 'To maintain visual continuity, Pauline's look featured recurring elements — a string of pearls and the color red, both of which became identifiers as her character across different scenes and time periods,' Jorgenson said. The breastfeeding sequence might seem one of the more intense ones for the makeup team — you don't generally want your work getting wet, whatever the liquid — but Machaiek said that the real challenge of the Sullenberger flashbacks was the thing that always impacts makeup the most: the environment. 'Some of the Sully exterior scenes were shot in 99+ degree heat. Keeping the bald cap and mustache secure in that kind of weather is the first concern,' Machaiek said. It was a group effort among the makeup team — Machaiek singled out key makeup artist Mara Rouse, who was there for every Sully transformation, and Erin Walters whose first day on set was the Sully Nursery sequence, as well as Rocky Calderon and Laura Peyer — and among all the departments to pull off the Sullenberger sequences so that they landed at the exact intersection of comedy, reality, and documentary where 'The Rehearsal' lives. But it's a challenge that many of the department heads have had a lot of their own rehearsal in doing. 'I've been fortunate to have worked with Katie Machaiek, Makeup Department Head, and Becca Weber, Hair Department Head, on previous projects, and so it was great to collaborate with them again,' Jorgenson said. 'We shared fitting photos throughout the process, and anytime we had specific costume elements in mind, they were always open to running with the idea or building on it creatively. This season offered a wide variety of looks to explore together — from the 'Wings of Voice' contestants, to Sully and Lorrie's '80s wedding, to the '60s church congregation. It allowed us to stretch creatively and have fun with the range of styles and time periods.' 'Pilot's Code' comes together in Fielder's recreation of Sully's 'Miracle on the Hudson' landing, with his own (hilariously not implausible) explanation for what Sullenberger did just prior to the emergency water landing. In order to create that mingled sense of comedy stunt, drama immersion, and Fielder's own character arc in the moment, Cordero had to finesse shooting the sequence on a cockpit set against an LED wall. The visuals there were partially generated by flight simulator software, in order to be as accurate to real flights as possible, especially the ones the show created in its Season 2 premiere, 'Gotta Have Fun,' where crashes occurred. But there were visual limitations with that approach that the show had to overcome. 'As the software's intended purpose is flight simulation, not visual effects rendering, its output is limited to 8-bit SDR. To an Alexa's sensor, that would lack the contrast that a real environment would have. Realizing this, when we performed our tests with the flight simulator visuals, I drove in an aggressive color correction with Lux Machina's assistance at their console (Ames O'Connor and their team from Lux Machina provided the LED tech and support),' Cordero said. The camera team also put a hard light into the cockpit, so as not to rely solely on the LED wall. The wall itself works great as a stand-in for a sky wrapping around a cockpit, and creates a massive soft source for light, but for a sunny flight, the LED wall alone won't quite cut it. 'We used an LED par on a jib that could play as the sun, which was moved around the 'sky' by grip Brody Culbertson, who would mimic the sun's position as it moved in the flight simulator visuals,' Cordero said. Techniques with lighting both in the studio and with color correction in post allow 'The Rehearsal,' in 'Pilot's Code' and elsewhere, to toggle between the real stakes of what the show is talking about and the artifice of how they're approaching it, with Nathan lurking in front of the wall or obviously stepping out of a set. In whatever mode 'The Rehearsal' is operating, and however on edge it might feel, Jorgenson would remind viewers that every choice is intentional. 'Nathan uses clothing as a tool to prepare himself for the psychological spaces he's about to enter. Whether it's mimicking someone's outfit to inhabit their world more closely or choosing looks that submit him to be a wallflower in a situation, the costumes are part of the process,' Jorgenson said. 'I really appreciated the opportunity this season gave us to stretch creatively. Even though 'The Rehearsal' is a contemporary comedy, we approached the costume design with the same level of thought and intention as any other genre.' 'The Rehearsal' is streaming on Max. Sullivan's Crossing Season 4: Release date speculation, cast and plot details – Everything we know so far
By Aman Shukla Published on July 9, 2025, 17:30 IST Last updated July 9, 2025, 11:07 IST Alright, Sullivan's Crossing fans, gather 'round! That Season 3 finale had us all yelling at our screens—Maggie's got a husband now? What?! If you're as obsessed with this cozy Canadian drama, you're probably counting down the days to Season 4. The great news? It's happening! We've scoured the internet and pieced together everything we know about the next chapter in Nova Scotia's most romantic campground. From when it might hit our screens to who's coming back and what's up with that cliffhanger, here's the full scoop. Let's dive in! Sullivan's Crossing Season 4 Release Date Speculation No official release date yet, but let's play detective. Sullivan's Crossing has been pretty consistent with dropping a new season every year since it started: Season 1 kicked off on CTV in March 2023, then hit The CW in October 2023. Season 2 showed up on CTV in April 2024, followed by The CW in October 2024. Season 3 started on CTV in April 2025 and The CW in May 2025. If they stick to this rhythm, I'm betting Season 4 will land on CTV around April or May 2026, with The CW following a month or two later, maybe June 2026. Filming usually happens in Nova Scotia a few months before, so they might start cameras rolling in late 2025. Who's Returning for Sullivan's Crossing Season 4? Cast Updates The core cast of Sullivan's Crossing has remained steady across its first three seasons, and we expect most familiar faces to return for Season 4, barring any major plot twists. Here's who's likely to be back: Morgan Kohan as Maggie Sullivan : The neurosurgeon who traded her fast-paced Boston life for the slower rhythm of Sullivan's Crossing will continue to navigate love, family, and her new clinic. Chad Michael Murray as Cal Jones : Maggie's love interest and Sully's campground assistant is set to face new challenges after the shocking Season 3 finale. Scott Patterson as Harry 'Sully' Sullivan : Maggie's estranged father, who runs the campground, may explore new adventures after his decision to travel to Ireland with Helen. Andrea Menard as Edna Cranebear : Following her successful brain tumor surgery in Season 3, Edna's recovery journey will likely be a focus. Tom Jackson as Frank Cranebear : Edna's supportive husband and a key figure in the community. Lindura as Sydney Shandon : Her relationship with Rafe is on shaky ground, setting up potential drama. Reid Price as Rob Shandon : Rob's new restaurant and relationship with Jane will likely continue to evolve. Dakota Taylor as Rafe Vadas : Rafe's desire for marriage could lead to conflict with Sydney. Amalia Williamson as Lola Gunderson : A recurring character with ties to the Crossing's past. Cindy Sampson as Jane : Rob's girlfriend, who seems to be a long-term addition. Kate Vernon as Helen Culver: The bestselling author who joined in Season 3 and may travel with Sully. New guest stars could also join the ensemble, as Season 3 introduced characters like Cooper (Steve Lund) and Jacob Cranebear (Joel Oulette). Any casting shake-ups will depend on how Season 3's cliffhangers resolve, particularly for Maggie and Cal. What Will Happen in Sullivan's Crossing Season 4? Plot Predictions The Season 3 finale, which aired on June 22, 2025, left fans reeling with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger. Maggie, who decided to stay in Sullivan's Crossing to run her own clinic and be with Cal, was blindsided by the arrival of Liam, a figure from her past claiming to be her husband. This bombshell sets the stage for a dramatic Season 4. Here's what we expect based on the finale and the show's themes: Maggie and Cal's Relationship Maggie and Cal finally committed to each other in Season 3, but Liam's claim threatens to upend their romance. Season 4 will likely explore: The truth behind Liam's assertion—Is he really Maggie's husband, or is there a misunderstanding? How Maggie and Cal navigate this bombshell, especially after Maggie's recent loss of her baby with ex Andrew Mathews. Whether Maggie's decision to stay in the Crossing holds firm amidst new personal turmoil. Sully's New Chapter Sully's agreement to travel to Ireland with Helen marks a significant shift for the character, who's been tied to the Crossing for decades. Season 4 could show: Sully's adventures abroad and how they impact his relationship with Maggie. Whether Sully leaves the campground in Maggie's care permanently or returns to Nova Scotia. His emotional growth as he moves beyond past regrets, including the guilt over Lola's accident. Edna's Recovery After her successful brain tumor surgery, Edna's recovery will be a key storyline. Frank's support and the community's role in her healing could highlight the show's focus on family and togetherness. The Crossing's Future The show often weaves in threats to the campground, like new developments or financial struggles. Season 4 might introduce fresh obstacles, such as competition from Sully's 'shady new neighbors' or changes in the town's landscape. Like its predecessor Virgin River , Sullivan's Crossing thrives on emotional depth, romantic entanglements, and small-town drama. Expect Season 4 to deliver more twists, heartfelt moments, and stunning Nova Scotia scenery. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication . Dog trainer shares verdict on allowing pets on home furniture
The canine behaviourist spoke out about whether dogs should be given free rein of sofas, beds and household furniture Should you allow your dog to sleep on furniture? It's a long-standing debate that often divides pet owners, but a recent take from one trainer might just settle the matter. Will Atherton, a canine behaviourist from Derbyshire, boasts years of experience in his field, having worked with many pups with all kinds of behavioural issues, including biting. He said people often ask him whether dogs should be allowed on sofas, beds, and other furniture - and gave a detailed reply. "Should your dog be allowed on the furniture?" he asked in a recent TikTok. "And that's a question I get all the time. And for me, it completely is up to you. I have a few little rules about it." First and foremost, Will encouraged viewers to consider whether their pet has any recurring attitude issues. Although he didn't outline what these might include, they could be anything from aggressive tendencies to overexcited jumpiness. When a dog is a major nuisance at home, Will implied that it might be best not to let them on the sofa. But if the dog is generally well-mannered, it should be fine as long as clear limits are established. He explained: "If you don't have any big behaviour problems with your dog, then I think you can absolutely have them on the furniture if you want them. If you don't want them on the furniture, that's completely fine. READ MORE: Love Islander Demi Jones says she brushed off key symptom before cancer diagnosis "But if they are going to go on the furniture, my thought is that they shouldn't be allowed to have free access to jump up and off whenever they want. It should look like this." To demonstrate his point, Will gestured to Sully, a large dog perched on the floor beside his sofa. Will then continued: "They should wait with good manners, sitting, looking up to you for guidance and direction, and waiting for you to say, 'up'." When commanded, Sully jumped up to sit next to Will on the sofa. "And they can jump on and they can have a cuddle," he said. "And the most important thing is that just as well-mannered as getting on the furniture with you, it should be just as easy - Sully, off." Within seconds, Sully once again returned to sitting on the floor, as instructed. Bearing this in mind, Will summarised: "If you can do that and you don't have any problems with your dog elsewhere and you want them to come and have a cuddle on the sofa, then do so." Even while settling the dogs-on-furniture debate, Will's video still divided fans online. Among the viewers in disagreement, one person wrote: "I don't have to ask anyone to have access to my sofa, why should my dog?" Another person also wrote: "I am not a control freak," as someone else said: "My dogs are a part of my family, so they can go wherever they want to without asking to go there." However, others completely agreed with Will's perspective. One user wrote: "My boys love being on the couch and I love having a snuggle with them on the couch, but they know when I say they need to get off, they do! And same for coming up! "It's so refreshing to hear a trainer who doesn't want to just limit a dog's life and surroundings and doesn't guilt owners for wanting to share the space." Meanwhile, another wrote: "Mine has free access to the furniture but when I tell him to get off, he does."
