MUSCAT: The Sultan's Special Force (SSF) on Sunday celebrated its annual day which falls on March 15 every year. The ceremony, which saw the graduation of a new batch of soldier recruits, was held under the auspices of Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office. Upon the arrival of the chief guest at Al Sumood Camp's military parade ground, the Royal Guard of Oman's band played the Royal Anthem. The column of the graduates gave the military salute to the chief guest. Gen Sultan al Numani inspected the front row of the column. Then, the graduates performed a military show, passing in front of the dais, and they gave the military salute to the chief guest. Graduation was held under the auspices of Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office Then, Gen Sultan al Numani handed over prizes to the top graduates. The graduates took the Oath of Allegiance and chanted thrice, 'Long live His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.' Later, the chief guest presented the 'Medal of Excellent Service' and the 'Medal of Royal Commendation' to senior officers, officers and non-commissioned officers from the SSF in appreciation of their dedication to the sacred national duty. — ONA

Muscat– The Sultan's Special Force (SSF) celebrated its annual day on March 15, alongside the graduation of a new batch of soldiers, under the patronage of H E Gen Sultan Mohammed al Nu'amani, Minister of Royal Office. The ceremony, featured a military parade, with the Royal Guard of Oman band playing the Royal Anthem as the graduates saluted the patron of the event. His Excellency inspected the parade and witnessed a slow-march display before presenting awards to the top graduates. The ceremony concluded with the graduates taking the oath of loyalty and chanting in honour of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. In recognition of dedicated service, His Excellency awarded the Excellent Service Medal and the Sultan's Commendation Medal to several senior officers, officers, and non-commissioned officers. Additionally, Major General Muslim bin Mohammed Jaboub, SSF Commander, presented the Special Service Medal and the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal to a number of SSF personnel. The event was attended by senior government officials, military and security commanders, and retired officers, highlighting the vital role of the Sultan's Special Force in safeguarding the nation.

Rafo carries out exercise Response 25

Muscat: The Royal Air Force of Oman (Rafo) carried the practical demonstration of exercise Response 2025, under the auspices of Major General Musallam bin Mohammed Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan's Special Force (SSF), on Wednesday. The exercise, simulates a crash of a military passenger plane, was part of efforts made to raise the level of readiness, enhance coordination between the competent authorities and ensure speed and efficiency of response to emergencies. The exercise saw a wide participation from the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), the Royal Oman Police (ROP), the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Engineering Services of the Ministry of Defence, the Medical City for Military and Security Services and the Royal Flight of Oman (RFO). The exercise was attended by a number of Their Excellencies, senior officers from the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF), military and security services, a number of director generals of government institutions and invitees.
