Kid Cudi ties the knot with Lola Abecassis Sartore during wedding in South of France
Kid Cudi has tied the knot with fiancée Lola Abecassis Sartore during a timeless wedding in the South of France. In photos exclusively shared with Vogue magazine, the "Pursuit of Happiness" hitmaker, born Scott Mescudi, and Sartore's nuptials took place on June 28 at the luxury Cap Estel hotel in Èze, overlooking the ocean. "It was bliss," the menswear designer said. "A moment out of time where the world stopped, and it was just the two of us. We forgot everything around us. It was just us and our love, and it was the purest moment." All the witnesses who took the stand in the Diddy trial, including Cassie and Kid Cudi The couple first met in 2018 at Virgil Abloh's first show for Louis Vuitton: "I was working behind the scenes, and Scott was walking the runway," adding that "our eyes met in the chaos, and there was a silent spark. After the show, Scott walked straight up and asked for my number." Abecassis Sartore revealed that the couple also included special touches that paid tribute to Off-White founder Abloh, including a "full circle moment" featuring Badbadnotgood (the band from the night the couple met at the fashion icon's show) playing during cocktail hour and building a bounce castle to pay homage to him. "Everyone (we know who had) already gotten married told us it would go fast," the bride told Vogue. "We didn't know it would go this quickly (though). We're on cloud nine in our little bubble of love. It's so overwhelming to receive so much love in such a short amount of time." It was really the most perfect, flawless, peaceful day, and we want to do it all over again. Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing," she added. The happy news comes after the rapper took the stand in Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal sex-crimes trial, leveling allegations that Combs broke into his home and locked his dog in a bathroom – and that his vehicle blew up in another incident – after the embattled mogul found out they both dated Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura Fine. The rapper dated Ventura Fine briefly in 2011. Ventura Fine told the court that when Combs learned of their relationship, he lunged at her with a corkscrew and kicked her in the back. After his testimony ended, Cudi thanked fans and said, "I've been seeing all the love and support. I just wanna say thank you so much, man." "People been hitting me up the past week, just checking in," he added. "And even today. It really means a lot to me, man. You guys are the best. I love y'all. This is a stressful situation. I'm glad it's behind me. I love y'all, man. Big love. Go stream 'Neverland,'" in reference to his recent single.

The original Birkin, scuffs and all, just sold for $10M
A massive price tag isn't unheard of in the world of Birkins, but this one is surely the most iconic. Sotheby's auction house just sold Jane Birkin's original Hermès bag, designed and named after the British actress and singer. The handmade, sleek black prototype – now a status symbol for the ultra-wealthy – hit the auction block for a starting price of $10,000. The well-worn bag went on to sell for €8.58 million, or just over $10 million, at final auction on Thursday, July 10. First designed in 1984 as a collaboration between Birkin, who was living in Paris at the time, and Hermès CEO Jean-Louis Dumas, the bag originated via an in-flight conversation. When seated next to the Hermès executive on a flight, Birkin sketched her ideal tote, the design house took off running. Her main specifications had little to do with the look of the bag and more with its capacity – at the time, the actress said none of the purses du jour fit what she needed for her busy lifestyle. The original Hermès Birkin bag is going up for auction: How to bid on historic purse On the plane, she was carrying a wicker basket, since her handbag was at capacity, and when the contents of it spilled on Dumas, the point made itself. Unlike some who handle their Birkin with a ginger touch, sometimes keeping it locked away in a closet, the actress often accessorized her bag with scarves and bag charms, and at times wore it tucked in, underneath her arm. She wore it into the ground, unafraid to have it beat up and appear heavily used. Birkin bag or Walmart dupe? See Kim Kardashian, more stars sporting the real Hermès purse How much does a Birkin cost? A new Birkin can cost anywhere between $10,000 and $100,000 (or more). It's not an "off the rack" purchase either: Hermès doesn't display its bags, so you'd likely need a relationship with a sales associate to get your hands on one. You could win $100 just by reading: How to enter USA TODAY's Summer Book Challenge The value continues to appreciate, particularly for some bags like the crocodile skin Birkin, which the actress herself asked the design house to stop making in 2015. She took issue with the animal cruelty that went into giving the purse its real-life croc look. For the folks who don't have $10 million lying around, Walmart made waves in 2024 when it began selling dupes of the purse for less than $100. Contributing: Reuters
