Sun Life U.S. appoints Dr. Todd Gray as Chief Dental Officer
Dr. Gray to lead evidence-based clinical direction for all of Sun Life U.S. Dental WELLESLEY, Mass., June 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Sun Life U.S. today announced the appointment of Dr. Todd Gray as Chief Dental Officer (CDO) for its Dental business, which includes DentaQuest. Dr. Gray will focus on enhancing the organization's clinical strategy, including implementing evidence-based improvements, overseeing quality, strengthening collaboration with dental providers and dental professional associations, and driving innovation in oral healthcare. Most recently, he served as a clinical advisor for DentaQuest, where he supported medical-dental integration, network recruitment and development, client and government outreach, and market conditioning and benefit design. Previously, Dr. Gray has served as CDO for as CDO and senior vice president of quality management at Liberty Dental Plan, and as dental director for the State of Nevada. He also was a public policy advocate for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and adjunct faculty at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, and he has held board positions for organizations including the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada and the Nevada State Medicaid Advisory Committee. Dr. Gray received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where he also completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry. Sun Life U.S. renews support of National Alliance on Mental Illness with $50,000 donation
WELLESLEY, Mass., April 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — As part of its commitment to helping people get the care they need, Sun Life U.S. has renewed its support of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) with a $50,000 donation to its Hearts + Minds (H+M) program (H+M). The program educates people to better manage both their physical and mental wellness, an approach that aligns with Sun Life's model that focuses on whole person care to drive improved health outcomes. A supporter of NAMI's program since 2022, Sun Life's philanthropic platform supports organizations that broaden access to care and deliver health services to communities in need. Sun Life U.S. expands Family Leave Insurance to Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and South Carolina
WELLESLEY, Mass., Feb. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Sun Life U.S. has expanded its Family Leave Insurance (FLI) offering to Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and South Carolina, with more states on the way. Sun Life currently offers FLI in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. The fully insured offering broadens workers' access to paid leave, giving more employers the option to easily provide a valuable benefit to their employees. Sun Life has long been an advocate for paid leave, working with state programs to include a private plan option and supporting legislative proposals to expand access to the employer federal paid leave tax credit. Sun Life FLI aligns with the current tax credit and will align with changes in the future.
