YSRCP organises rallies to mark 'Betrayal Day', protests against CM Chandrababu Naidu
East Godavari (Andhra Pradesh) [India], June 4 (ANI): YSR Congress Party, led by YS Jaganmohan Reddy, organised a rally in Rajamahendravaram Rural, East Godavari, on the occasion of 'Betrayal Day', to mark the first anniversary of the TDP-led government. YSRCP East Godavari District President and Former Minister Chelluboyina Venugopala Krishna led the rally. Following the rally, the former minister submitted a representation to the District Collector. A large number of party leaders, workers, and supporters actively participated in the rally, which was organised to protest against the N Chandrababu Naidu government. YSRCP shared posts on X, showing visuals from protests marking 'Betrayal Day' held in multiple locations. The rally in Rajampet was led by Meda Raghunath Reddy. MPs Mithun Reddy and Maddila Gurumoorthy participated in the rally in Sarvepalli constituency, and Chandragiri constituency in-charge Chevireddy Mohith Reddy organised a huge rally in Chandragiri constituency. According to an X post by YSRCP, after the rally, MP Gurumoorthy said that the coalition government came to power by making false promises to the people, and it is ridiculous for the coalition leaders to say that today is a festival day for the people. The MP said that people think that this is not a government that celebrates festivals, but a government of pure violence. He said that the false promises given by the coalition will burn the coalition government like fire in the coming days. He warned that YSRCP workers and leaders are being harassed with illegal cases to divert people's attention from election promises, and there is no point in being afraid of such wildfires. He said on this occasion that more such protest programs will be organised against the failures of the government in the future. Sharing a video on '1 year of CBN Back Stabbing', YSRCP wrote on X, 'Super-6 turned out to be a golden duck. AP people won't forget this betrayal.' Meanwhile, Naidu-led TDP is celebrating the day as 'Praja Teerpu Dinam' (People's Victory Day). (ANI)

‘Amaravati relaunch a landmark moment'
Vijayawada: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the grand relaunch of the Amaravati capital works programme was a resounding success, drawing global attention to Andhra Pradesh's ambitious vision for its capital city. He described the event, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi , as surpassing all previous gatherings in the state, thanks to meticulous planning. Speaking via teleconference with party leaders and workers, Naidu emphasised the government's commitment to restoring Amaravati's past glory. "This programme has turned the eyes of the nation and the world toward Amaravati," he said, adding that the capital represents the self-respect of Andhra Pradesh's 50 million residents. He highlighted Modi's address, in which the PM underscored Amaravati's potential to become a cornerstone of Viksit Bharat 2047 , India's vision for national development by 2047. Naidu assured that construction in Amaravati will now move forward without hurdles. He reiterated his vision of Amaravati as a global city that would create opportunities and jobs for the state's youth. The CM also noted recent strides in infrastructure and industry: the revival of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant with 11,400 crore in central support, the long-pending railway zone in North Andhra, and fresh funding for the Polavaram project, now targeted for completion by 2027. Economic development, he said, remains a top priority. New investments include BPCL and ArcelorMittal facilities, green energy plants in Srikakulam, and industrial parks in Orvakal and Kopparthy. The proposed Lepakshi–Kopparthy corridor and MSME parks across all constituencies aim to further boost local economies. "We've already launched MSME parks in 11 constituencies, and soon, every constituency will have one," he said. Naidu reiterated the government's commitment to its Super-6 promises while addressing both financial and non-financial challenges. He also promised to fill all nominated posts before the party's annual Mahanadu conclave. Taking aim at the opposition, Naidu asked party workers to counter "baseless criticisms" from the YSRCP and to prepare for the Mahanadu, scheduled to be held in Kadapa from May 27–29, following record-high membership registrations.
