East Bay man wins $10 million on California Lottery scratcher
The California Lottery has announced several recent high-value wins from scratcher tickets across Northern California. Steven Muhlestein of Concord won $10 million on a Super Bonus Scratchers ticket purchased at Vintage Wine Shoppe & Liquor, located at the corner of Clayton Road and Roslyn Drive, according to a news release Friday. In Sacramento, Ashley Eugene won $5 million with a $20 Maximum Millions Scratchers ticket she received as a Christmas gift from her father. She waited several weeks before scratching the ticket and discovering the prize. 'I kept looking at it and making sure it was correct,' Eugene said of the ticket, which was purchased at A1 Mart on West El Camino Avenue, in a statement shared by lottery officials. In Merced County, Delores Cesena won a $10 million prize from the 200X Scratchers, which was purchased at Shannon's Mini Mart located at 1100 Shaffer Road in Atwater. Another $5 million winning ticket was sold at the Gas & Go station in Georgetown (El Dorado County). The winner's identity has not yet been released and will be announced after the lottery's standard vetting process, which typically takes six to eight weeks.

$10M winning Scratcher ticket sold at Concord liquor store
(KRON) — It was a very lucky day for one man who purchased a lottery ticket recently at a Concord liquor store. According to the California State Lottery, Steven Muhlestein bought the $10 million ticket. ''Twas a truly fortunate day also for Steven Muhlestein, who uncorked a $10 million prize with a $10 Million Super Bonus Scratchers game procured from the Vintage Wine Shoppe & Liquor on the corner of Clayton Road and Roslyn Drive in Concord,' the lottery said in a press release Friday. In Sacramento, one lottery player got a belated holiday surprise. Ashley Eugene received a $20 Maximum Millions Scratchers game from her father as a Christmas gift. She waited about a week and a half to scratch it, scratched the ticket and stared at in disbelief. 'I kept looking at it and making sure it was correct,' she said. 'My dad happened to be there with me, so he looked at it and made sure it was correct. Then, a couple days later, we took it to the store, and they checked it and verified it was a winner.'
