City teen's debut album launch on August 10

Nagpur: City-based 14-year-old singing prodigy Surmayee Sathe is all set to unveil her debut original album "Nayi Raho Pe..." at Ramdaspeth on August 10. The launch will take place in the presence of renowned singer and chief guest of the occasion Amruta Fadnavis . Balancing academics, sports, and music with rare discipline, Surmayee has already carved a distinct identity in the world of music. A Class 9 student, she is the daughter of photographer-singer-guitarist and tennis player Subodh Sathe, and interior designer Arundhati Sathe. Growing up in a creatively rich and athletically active household, she developed an early fascination for music, exploring instruments such as piano, drums, guitar, and harmonica before shaping her unique style of singing. Her music training has been guided by eminent mentors, including singer Aniruddha Joshi, Shreya Kharabe-Tankasale, Dr Manjiri Vaidya-Iyer, Srikant Naidu (western piano), and Tanushree Tamaskar (Hindustani classical vocal). A pivotal moment in her journey came when she met legendary composer Ehsaan Noorani, whose encouragement inspired her to compose music.
