AP aims to be among top 3 States by 2047: Governor
Krishna University (Machilipatnam): Governor and Chancellor of Krishna University S Abdul Nazeer has presided over the 6th, 7th and 8th Convocation of the university held at the Auditorium in the university campus here on Wednesday. Nara Lokesh, Minister of IT & Human Resources, attended the convocation as the chief guest. Delivering the convocation address, Governor Abdul Nazeer said SwarnaAndhra@2047 is a comprehensive vision document unveiled by the Andhra Pradesh government, which aims to transform the State into a wealthy, healthy, and happy State by the centenary year of India's independence in 2047 and it aligns with the national vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 and to be among the top three States in by 2047. He said that the State plans to become a global economic leader by utilising its second longest coastline, resources and skilled workforce, focusing on sectors like agriculture innovation, renewable energy, and IT services for sustained growth and the university students have a great role to play in this mission. The Governor appreciated Prof K Ramji, Vice-Chancellor of the University and his team for achieving NAAC B+ accreditation and said the university is destined to ascend the trajectory of sustained growth, inclusive development and a technological renaissance that can secure Andhra Pradesh's future. The convocation commenced with presentation of the annual report by Vice-Chancellor Prof K Ramji, followed by an address by Mandava Prabhakar Rao, chairman and managing director, Nuzveedu Seeds as chief guest-cum-orator, who was also conferred the Honoris Causa for 6th convocation, and presentation of degrees, gold medals and merit certificates to the students of 6th, 7th & 8th convocations. Prof MNV Ravi Kumar, distinguished university research professor, Department of Translational Science and Medicine, University of Alabama, USA, was conferred the Honoris Causa for 7th convocation, and Anil Kumar Chalamalasetty, founder and CEO of Greenko Group, was conferred the Honoris Causa for 8th convocation. Vice-Chancellor Prof Ramji felicitated Governor and Chancellor of the University Abdul Nazeer with a shawl and memento.

AP: Government to hold review meeting on completion of 1 year in office
Vijayawad, Jun 22 (UNI) To mark one year in office, the N. Chandrababu Naidu headed Andhra Pradesh Government will conduct a special meeting titled 'First Step towards Good Governance' on June 23 in Amaravati, near here. The event will be held on a specially arranged dais behind the Secretariat. Originally scheduled for June 12, the meeting was postponed due to the tragic plane crash near Ahmedabad. In tomorrow's session, the government will review administrative reforms introduced over the past year, changes implemented, welfare measures delivered, and efforts made towards the state's development. A key focus will be on how to realize people's aspirations and meet developmental targets over the next four years. The district Collectors, SPs, HODs, Secretaries, MLAs, Ministers, and MPs from all 26 districts will participate in the event being held in Amaravati. The Naidu headed coalition Government completed one year in office and steps into its second year, steering the State towards reconstruction after the financial and administrative chaos left by the previous regime. Alongside short-term development goals, the coalition has also drafted and begun implementing long-term strategies like the Swarna Andhra @2047 vision for a developed Andhra Pradesh. The AP government is making rapid progress on key fronts such as the Polavaram project, Amaravati capital development, attracting industries and investments, and creating employment opportunities for 20 lakh people. CM Naidu: Yoga will play vital role in building Andhra healthier
Visakhapatnam, June 21 (UNI) Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday emphasized yoga's role in building a healthier Andhra Pradesh, urging citizens to make yoga a daily habit. Linking yoga to long-term development, the Chief Minister emphasized that the core goal of Swarna Andhra @ 2047 is a "healthy, wealthy, and happy Andhra Pradesh." Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu participated in the International Yoga event organized at the RK beach here on Saturday. The Chief Minister, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi practised yoga in the event. Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said: "When our youth embrace yoga, they gain not just health but the focus to succeed in today's digital world," he stated, announcing plans to integrate yoga into education and community programmes. He reiterated that yoga is a powerful wellness tool in the fast-paced digital age, uniting mind, body, and spirit. Looking ahead, the Chief Minister advocated yoga's inclusion in the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and Olympics. He called for citizens to dedicate one hour daily to yoga, especially urging youth to adopt it for enhanced concentration and creativity in the digital era. The celebration embodied the "One Earth - One Health" vision, aligning with Swarna Andhra @ 2047 to create a prosperous society contributing to India's growth. TDP annual conclave to kick off in Kadapa

Amaravati, May 27 (PTI) The three-day TDP Mahanadu, an annual conclave of the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh, is set to kick off on Tuesday at Kadapa in the Rayalaseema region. 'On the opening day on May 27, discussions will be held with the party's representatives on organisational structure and future action plan, besides basic principles of the party, release of six formulas, along with amendments to the rules and regulations of the party,' said a press release from TDP on Monday. Opening day activities will include a photo exhibition, blood donation camp, homage to deceased party leaders and activists, state president's speech, presentation of party financial statement and an address by TDP national president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, among others. TDP general secretary and IT Minister Nara Lokesh will introduce leadership and ideological revamp of the party through six resolutions designed to set ideological and administrative vision for several decades to come. Naidu moots 3 sub-groups to propel Viksit Bharat goal
New Delhi: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday mooted forming three sub–groups on GDP growth, population management and leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to put the country's goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047 on a fast track. Addressing the 10th NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting at Bharat Mandapam, the Chief Minister noted that the sub–groups of States formed in collaboration with the Centre should work towards accelerating Viksit Bharat–2047 (developed India) vision. 'The first sub-group on GDP growth aims to boost investments, manufacturing, exports and job creation, supported by Central viability gap funding for PPP projects,' said Naidu. The second sub-group on population management should help India leverage its demographic dividend while preparing the country for future challenges such as ageing and low fertility, said the Chief Minister. Likewise, the third sub-group should focus on technology-driven governance, utilising AI, quantum computing, drones, and digital platforms for real-time citizen-centric administration, said the Chief Minister. Naidu also showcased his SwarnaAndhra@2047 vision, which aims to transform the state by 2047 to achieve a GSDP of $2.4 trillion with a per capita income of $42,000, among other targets. Besides his proposals, Naidu paid tributes to the 26 victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, and lauded the Armed Forces' decisive retaliation through 'Operation Sindoor'.
