The stage is set for Telugu Desam Party's three-day 'Mahanadu' the annual conclave beginning in Kadapa on Tuesday, with a focus on release of six formulas aimed at strengthening the party with ideological revival and structure reforms. TDP National President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, will deliver the inaugural address to set the tone of the deliberations for the party's annual conclave, the first after TDP returned to power in June last year along with its allies Jana Sena and BJP. TDP General Secretary and state minister Nara Lokesh, who is the son of Chief Minister Naidu, will introduce six formulas and amendments to the rules and regulations, in line with expectations of the young generation. The conclave will pass a six formula resolution to build the party for future challenges. 'The activist is the leader' will be the first formula to be unveiled with a focus on organisational structure and the importance of party workers. The second formula is 'Yuva Galam' or the voice of the youth with the emphasis on welfare of the youth, investments, employment opportunities, decentralisation of development, focus on backward areas, technology in public administration and WhatsApp Governance. Lokesh had undertaken a padyatra 'Yuva Galam' before last year's elections to put forward an agenda for the youth. Under the third formula, the conclave will focus on global eminence of the Telugu community. The party will recall how its founder N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) was popular and introduced many reforms and how the state is moving on a progressive path under Naidu's regime. The party will highlight great victories in its 40-year journey. 'Women power' will be the fourth formula to be discussed. It will highlight the programmes and schemes for welfare of women, their empowerment and secure law and order. The fifth formula will be 'social justice and prosperity of the poor'. The party will highlight how it aims to building a poverty-free society through the recently-launched programme P-4. Housing, healthcare and education accessible to all are the targets set under Swarnandhra Vision-2047 Under the sixth formula 'support to farmers', the party will explain the measures taken for welfare of growers and development of the agriculture sector. These include using technology beneficial for farming, construction of irrigation projects at a rapid pace and revolutionary reforms in the power sector. On the first day of the conclave, discussions will be held on organisational structure and future action plan besides basic principles of the party. A photo exhibition and blood donation camps will be inaugurated on the first day and the party's flag will be hoisted to launch the conclave. The proceedings will commence with the chanting of the 'Maa Telugu Talliki' song following which condolences will be offered in the memory of party leaders and activists who passed away. After the general secretary's report, the president of the TDP State unit, Palla Srinivas Rao, will deliver the welcome address. Later, the treasurer will submit his report on revenue and expenditure. This will be followed by Chandrababu Naidu's inaugural address. On the second day, rich tributes will be paid to party founder NTR on his birth anniversary. Discussions will be held on the draft resolutions on developmental and welfare programmes taken up by the TDP-led NDA Government.

Naidu tells cadre to attend PM Modi's prog tomorrow

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday asked all the TDP, the Jana Sena and the BJP leaders across the State to attend the relaunching of the works in the capital by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on May 2. Through a teleconference Chandrababu Naidu told the MPs, MLAs and booth-level leaders of the TDP that Modi will lay the foundation for Rs 49,040 cr worth of works in Amaravati. Also, the Prime Minister will lay the stone to some works and inaugurate some other projects all worth Rs 57,962 cr relating to DRDO, DPIIT, NHAI and Railways, the Chief Minister said. Acknowledging that the voters have given a record mandate to the NDA with 93 per cent striking rate, Chandrababu said that this is because a promise has been made before the elections that the State, which was totally destroyed, will be rebuilt. He asked all the TDP, the Jana Sena and the BJP leaders and activists to positively attend the Prime Minister's meeting. Both the Centre and the State are moving ahead with close coordination, he said, adding that despite severe financial crunch welfare and developmental programmes have been taken up in these 10 months. He said the State is receiving the highest amount of investments and stated that Swarnandhra Vision-2047 has been formulated for the comprehensive development of the State as the goal of NDA is decentralisation of development. He expressed concern that though land in Visakhapatnam has been allotted to URSA company at Rs 1.5 cr per acre, some forces are resorting to a misinformation campaign that it is allotted at only 99 paise. 'There is every need to take the facts to the public and refute this kind of false propaganda. The YSRCP leaders have committed the biggest blunders. They have looted the State through so many ways like wine, mine, sand and land,' Chandrababu remarked. Chandrababu expressed confidence that Amaravati will be built in such a way that the people of the State can proudly claim that it is their capital like how the people of Karnataka claim about their Bengaluru, how the Telangana people claim Hyderabad and Tamil Nadu people like Ch0ennai. Asserting that the role of the TDP is indelible in the development of Hyderabad, he said that Telangana's major share of revenue is from Hyderabad and similarly, more developmental works and welfare programmes can be taken up in the State with the revenue to be generated from Amaravati. The Chief Minister reiterated that the capital is a self-sustained project and all the basic facilities will be provided in the next three made it clear to the leaders that all of them should not act against the sentiments of the cadre and said that he gives equal preference to the Government and the activists as well. 'Let us organise the Mahanadu at Kadapa on a massive scale. Only the NDA should win all the elections,' Chandrababu Naidu observed.

Andhra Pradesh's Annual Credit Plan for 2025-26 fixed at ₹6.6 lakh crore

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said Andhra Pradesh will be undertaking various initiatives in the next four years with focus on development, wealth creation, and poverty eradication. 'While aligning with the Swarnandhra Vision-2047, the government is prioritising projects and goals to be completed by 2029. Bankers' support is essential for the growth of any sector in line with demand,' Mr. Naidu said while addressing the State-Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC) meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday. The Chief Minister urged the banks to extend support and exceed the targets set under the 2025–26 credit plan. He said the bankers should consider how they could contribute to the growth of DWCRA women, tenant farmers, SCs, STs, BCs, and minorities. 'Massive projects are under way in various sectors, and financial assistance is critical. The government intends to promote MSMEs and establish Ratan Tata Innovation Hubs in every constituency with 'One entrepreneur per household' vision,' he said. Mr. Naidu highlighted the Zero Poverty–P4 initiative to eliminate poverty and reduce inequality by 2029. The model was being widely implemented to create wealth and infrastructure, he said. 'Visakhapatnam is making remarkable progress economically and industrially, while Amaravati is being positioned as a hub of future opportunities,' he said, and added that Rayalaseema was being developed as a horticulture hub and a centre for electronics manufacturing. 'The bankers have to focus on the petro corridor. They need to provide direct loans to fishermen, who are losing due to middlemen,' he said. There were abundant opportunities in the 'blue economy' that could be harnessed with the bankers' support, he observed. Noting that the primary reason for conducting SLBC meetings frequently during his tenure was to garner financial backing from the banks for the State's development and improve the living standards, the Chief Minister recalled that the undivided Andhra Pradesh gave priority to services and industries. After bifurcation, with Andhra Pradesh becoming an agriculture-dependent State, the focus shifted. 'The State is also strengthening allied sectors of agriculture through various initiatives,' he said. The bankers assured the Chief Minister that this year's targets would be exceeded. Priority was being given to women entrepreneurs, they said, adding that they were liberally lending to the self-help groups. 'Focus is also being placed on education and housing sectors,' they said.
