This RCB player smashed 585 runs of just 167 balls, still treated as water boy due to...., his name is.....
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have performed impressively in IPL 2025 so far. Out of 10 matches, they have secured victory in 7 and currently hold 14 points. While most RCB players have delivered standout performances, there's one player in the squad with an extraordinary record who hasn't received a single opportunity yet this season. This player once scored over 500 runs in a single innings, yet in the current tournament, he has only been seen serving drinks. RCB bought 19-year-old Swastik Chikara for ₹30 lakh. He made headlines with a memorable performance in domestic cricket at just 14 years of age. In one match, Chikara smashed 585 runs off 167 balls, hitting 55 fours and 52 sixes. This explosive knock came while playing for Mahi Cricket Academy against ACE Cricket Academy (Gorakhpur) in a 40-over match in December 2019. His team scored 704 runs and won the game by a massive margin of 355 runs. Before joining RCB, Swastik Chikara was a part of the Delhi Capitals franchise. Although he didn't get a chance to play, he was closely associated with the team. RCB picked him up for ₹30 lakh in the mega auction. Interestingly, his auction sparked controversy. Delhi Capitals claimed they had raised the paddle to bid for Chikara, but the auctioneer failed to notice. The franchise alleged that their bid was ignored during the process. In comparison, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) spent a whopping ₹8 crore to acquire Akash Deep. Between IPL 2022 and 2024, Akash played 8 matches and managed to take only 7 wickets, giving away runs at an economy of over 11. Even in IPL 2025, he has played 4 matches with an economy rate of above 12, raising questions about returns on the heavy investment. Despite his explosive talent, Swastik Chikara has not been given a single opportunity to play for RCB so far this season. He is often spotted near senior player Virat Kohli during matches, but fans are eagerly awaiting his debut. It remains to be seen whether the team management will give this young talent a shot in the remainder of the tournament. RCB fans are hopeful that Swastik Chikara will finally get his chance to showcase his batting prowess in IPL 2025. With a background that includes one of the most remarkable domestic innings ever seen, Chikara's potential is clear. All eyes are now on the RCB management to see if they will unleash this young sensation before the season ends.

RCB Youngster Gives Stunning Reply After Being Called 'Virat Kohli's Shadow'
Last Updated: Swastik Chikara's acts gained traction after Yash Dayal revealed that he once opened Virat Kohli's kitbag without permission and used his perfume. Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Swastik Chikara, who has gained quite some attention for remaining close to Virat Kohli at all times during a game, had an ice-cold reply when he was trolled by a few teammates over a meme roasting him for being around Kohli. Chikara's acts gained traction after his Uttar Pradesh teammate Yash Dayal revealed that the former once opened Kohli 's kitbag without his permission after a match against the Kolkata Knight Riders. The meme said that one of the biggest tensions for Chikara is to ensure he is the first to serve Kohli water during games. Watch the video here: — Virat Kohli Fan Club (@Trend_VKohli) April 26, 2025 ' Toh kya ho gaya? Apne bhai ko toh main hi pilaaunga! (What's there in that? I'll serve water to my brother)!" Chikara said with a smirk on his face. Who Is Swastik Chikara? The 20-year-old from Ghaziabad drew attention after he smashed the fastest half-century in the UP T20 League in September, hitting 85 off 27 balls. Swastik had already made his List A debut by then and had scored a 101-ball 117 on debut against Himachal Pradesh in Chandigarh in November 2023. Swastik made his first-class debut against Bengal in October in the Ranji Trophy and scored a 74-ball 41 in the first innings. He made his T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in November, although that outing didn't go as planned. Swastik hasn't yet featured in a match for Bengaluru. Meanwhile, Kohli and KL Rahul will headline the battle of anchors, while Mitchell Starc versus Josh Hazlewood in the pace department can just add more spice to the contest between the in-form Delhi Capitals and Bengaluru on Sunday, April 27. Kohli remains the biggest draw as he returns to his 'home ground' at the back of five fifties in nine matches. Four of them have come away from the Chinnaswamy Stadium, and despite being in the opposition camp, the Delhi crowd will be hoping Kohli extends his prolific run in IPL 2025.
