Jodie Sweetin Says the 'Full House' Group Chat Recently Included 'This' ‘Horrifying' Text from Dave Coulier (Exclusive)

Jodie Sweetin exclusively told PEOPLE that the Full House and Fuller House cast are in a very active group chat In the group chat, Dave Coulier recently shared an AI-generated image of his former costars as 'goths' "There was a Kourtney Kardashian lookalike in there who was supposed to be Becky [Katsopolis],' Sweetin saidJodie Sweetin never wants to leave her star-studded group chat. The Full House alum, who played Stephanie Tanner, exclusively told PEOPLE that the cast of the show and its reboot Fuller House are in a group chat. Before a live taping of her Full House rewatch podcast — How Rude, Tanneritos! — on June 5, Sweetin explained that Dave Coulier knows how to liven up the chatter, especially with his most recent AI-infused message. 'It was horrifying,' says the actress and podcaster, 43. Coulier, who played Joey Gladstone, had shared an AI-generated photo of the cast as 'goths.' 'Like, aged down goths. And for some reason, there was a Kourtney Kardashian lookalike in there who was supposed to be Becky [Katsopolis],' she adds of the character played by Lori Loughlin. 'But me and the Olsen twins were the same age, except for Mary-Kate, who actually looked like she does today.' is now available in the Apple App Store! Bob Saget, the beloved late actor who played fun-loving patriarch Danny Tanner, was depicted as Geddy Lee, the lead singer of Rush. 'It was just a very, very strange thing. Dave made a joke. I didn't get it,' Sweetin continues, before saying she eventually understood. 'I was like, 'Oh, sorry actually, the joke was great.' ' Sweetin's sneak peek into the group chat came as she and former Full House costar Andrea Barber, 48, were hosting their live episode on Thursday, reuniting with John Stamos, 61, and Loughlin, 60, as part of their rewatch. The latter pair took a look back on the love story between their characters — Uncle Jesse and Becky Donaldson Katsopolis — and their season 4 wedding. The How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast, which premiered in July as commentary on the beloved ABC series, also allows the two hosts to reminisce. 'Oh my gosh, we have been screaming, literally, I walked out screaming and saying, 'Jodie,' ' says Barber, who played Kimmy Gibbler. 'I walked into her dressing room, and she was jumping up and down. And, you know, we do the podcast. When we do it, normally, we're each at our houses, and we do it over Zoom.' Barber said the live events are something she usually feels "really nervous and apprehensive" about, but she didn't experience either of those feelings when chatting with Stamos and Loughlin because she was "just stoked to be here." Jodie Sweetin Reveals the Surprising 1-Word Response Her Kids Had to Her Work on 'Full House '(Exclusive)

Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber hosted iHeartRadio's How Rude, Tanneritos! Wedding Special live event on Thursday, June 5, 2025, in Los Angeles The costars chatted with PEOPLE ahead of the event, sharing how their children fit into the Full House fold The costars appeared with John Stamos and Lori Loughlin at the live event, looking back at some of the sitcom's biggest momentsJodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber's kids aren't too impressed by their Full House fame. Speaking with PEOPLE ahead of iHeartRadio's How Rude, Tanneritos! Wedding Special live event, the costars and moms talked about how their children have reacted to their sitcom stardom. When it comes to Sweetin's two daughters — Beatrix, 14, and Zoie, 17 — she confirmed they were never interested in checking out their mom's acting roots, simply calling it "weird." Barber, who is mom to Felicity, 16, and Tate, 19, said her kids also "didn't really care," "They're just normal teenagers. They don't care what their parents do," Barber tells PEOPLE. "They were like, 'It's mom. You yell at us to go clean our room.' " Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Barber recalls a time where her son's classmates figured out she was an actress and asked him about Full House. "I showed Full House to my son when he was in second grade, because he kept going to school and the kids were like, 'Your mom's [in] Full House?'" "[He told me], 'Everyone has seen Full House, but me, Mom, why?' And so I'm like, 'Here's an episode,' but that's about it." Whenever Sweetin's kids saw it, it was because, "It was probably on Nick at Nite or something. I'm sure my mom or dad, when the kids were little, was like, 'Oh, you want to watch mom on the show?' And even at two, they were probably like, 'No.'" When it came time for the cast to reunite for Fuller House, Barber said her kids "loved coming to the live tapings on Friday nights." It gave the costars' kids a chance to connect, with Barber noting how close in age Felicity and Zoie are. "Oh my god, they loved hanging out," Sweetin agrees. "They just wanted to hang out with Michael and Soni and Elias. They didn't come to see what we did." "They were hardly ever in the audience. They were down in the schoolroom. Remember the time we were doing the scene, and I literally heard Zoie yelling in the school room in the back? And I was like, 'That's my kid,' on a tape night," she laughs. During the live show, which also featured an appearance from costars John Stamos and Lori Loughlin, the group opened up about whether they had any regrets with the original series, during which they referenced the end of the series. "I wish we had gotten a proper goodbye," Barber shared. "We didn't know we weren't coming back. We did it out of order," Stamos recalled. "The episodes where Michelle gets amnesia, which was how we ended the show, that was last to air. But we shot those first, and then the last one we shot was the one with Andrew Keegan," Loughlin explained. Stamos agreed, adding, "We didn't know... I think we found out somewhere during that week or something. They kind of said, 'Okay, well...' and that wasn't a good way to go out. But thank God we got to do Fuller House." Jodie Sweetin reveals where she stands with ‘Full House' co-star Candace Cameron Bure: I won't ‘keep my mouth shut'

Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure in a feud? Cut it out! There is no bad blood between the 'Full House' stars, who played sisters DJ and Stephanie Tanner, respectively, on the ABC sitcom that ran for eight seasons from 1987 to 1995. Last summer, Sweetin, 43, and Bure, 49, had different opinions over the Paris Olympics — with 'The Jane Mysteries' star calling out conservatives for their harsh opinions on the opening ceremony, which featured drag queens. 9 Jodie Sweetin dishes on her relationship with Candace Cameron Bure. The Vault Podcast Bure dubbed the number, which referenced Leonardo Da Vinci's 'The Last Supper,' 'disgusting' and said it was mocking 'the Christian faith.' Despite their dueling feelings, Sweetin set the record straight on where she stands with her on-screen sibling. 'Tell us you don't know about art,'' host Amir Yass said on the latest episode of his 'The Vault' podcast, quoting Sweetin. 'You were speaking about her…' 9 Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, John Stamos and Jodie Sweetin attend Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine Benefitting The Scleroderma Research Foundation. Getty Images The 'How Rude, Tanneritos!' podcast host quickly clarified: 'To be honest, I wasn't speaking about her.' 'There was already something that had happened where we went on a divergent path,' explained Sweetin. 'And then I saw the Olympics thing and how people were freaking out about it, so I said, 'Oh my God, tell me you don't know anything about art history without telling me you know nothing,' and everyone was like, 'She came for Candace!'' The 'Fuller House' star admitted she was shocked by that rumor. 9 Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin attend 90s Con held at Connecticut Convention Center on March 18, 2023. I was, like, getting a massage or something, and I came out to all of this, and I was like, 'What did I…? Oh, she said….ohhhhhh. Well, I guess that's it!'' 'I'm not changing anything I said,' she insisted. 'But it was not an intentional dig. But it was still what I wanted to say.' 9 Scenes from 'Full House.' 'She posted her viewpoint and I posted mine, and we've always been very different on those things. I think it was just… now all of that comes to the surface more.' The 'Full House' cast — which also included the late Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin, John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Andrea Barber and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen — have always been close. Most of the main cast, minus the Olsen twins, reunited for five seasons of Netflix's 'Fuller House' from 2016-2020. 9 Candace Cameron-Bure and Jodie Sweetin on 'Watch What Happens Live.' 'We just exist in different worlds, but she is still someone I have known since I was 5 years old.' 'It's like family members,' she added. 'Maybe we don't talk all the time, and I know if politics comes up it is not going to go well, but I don't hate you. I am not going to not hug you, but I'm also not going to not keep my mouth shut. So that's what I did. That's how I look at it. You don't want to follow or whatever, that's cool.' As Sweetin put it, 'I'll be nice, but I will not be quiet.' 9 Actors Jodie Sweetin, Lori Loughlin, and Candace Cameron-Bure pose for portrait at the 2018 Hallmark Channel Summer TCA. Sweetin noted, 'I'm not gonna unfollow anybody!' 'I don't live my life based on social media,' she shared. 'I think it can be used for some great things, and I also think it can be really negative and full of a lot of shit, particularly these days.' 'Unfollow me, don't follow, whatevs,' Sweetin stated. 'People announce their departure. It's like, 'Cool, yeah, goodbye! You live in fucking Wyoming. I don't know you!' And if people I do know unfollow me because of what I passionately believe in, then we are just very different people.' In 2022, Bure defended herself and her network, which she is the CCO at, from the backlash about showing traditional marriage in her programming. 9 Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure in 1987. It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone,' she told People. 'It saddens me that the media is often seeking to divide us, even around a subject as comforting and merry as Christmas movies. But, given the toxic climate in our culture right now, I shouldn't be surprised. We need Christmas more than ever.' The 'Ainsley McGregor Mysteries' star also spoke about her faith, adding, 'I am a devoted Christian. Which means that I believe that every human being bears the image of God. Because of that, I am called to love all people, and I do. If you know me, you know that I am a person who loves fiercely and indiscriminately.'

‘Full House' stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber recount their ‘awkward' Ryan Gosling selfie fail

How rude! 'Full House' stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber have revealed that they once tried, and failed, to snag a selfie with Ryan Gosling during a charity event in June 2017. The pair recalled the 'awkward' encounter on Tuesday's episode of their 'How Rude, Tanneritos!' podcast while discussing Dolly Parton and other celebrities they are 'obsessed' with. Barber, who played next-door neighbor Kimmy Gibbler on 'Full House,' said. 'For you. I did this for you. And I got stopped by security!' Advertisement 'Well, we knew each other,' Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner on the beloved sitcom, added. 'We met as kids and had stayed in contact.' Gosling was sitting with Tahj Mowry, who played the Tanner family's friend Teddy on 'Full House,' so Sweetin and Barber used that as their excuse to approach the 'Barbie' star for a selfie. 'He was sitting by Teddy,' Sweetin continued. And I make a left because I'm like, 'Oh my God. This is just – I don't even know what's happening. I need to get out of this uncomfortable situation.'' 'So I walked to the left only to realize – there is no exit there, and I have to go then walk back by – like an idiot – and find the exit!' she concluded. Andrea Barber recalls 'gross question' about 'Full House' co-star John Stamos

Popular sitcom Full House viewers likely had crushes on John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse in the show, but his young co-stars didn't see him that way. Andrea Barber, who played the next-door neighbour in the series, recalled an old interview in which she was asked if she "ever" had "a crush" on Stamos, reported The Hollywood Reporter. The actress called it a "gross question" as she was way too young at that time and regarded Stamos as her elder brother. While speaking on the How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast alongside co-star Jodie Sweetin, Barber recalled being asked in interviews if she "ever" had a "crush" on Stamos. "No," she added, going on to say of Stamos and fellow co-star Dave Coulier, who played family friend Joey Gladstone, who also helped raise the Tanner girls alongside widowed dad Danny (Bob Saget), " "They're like our older brothers, and we do not think of them that way," added Barber. Sweetin agreed, adding, "Not even older brothers. They're like my uncles." According to The Hollywood Reporter, the moment came up during a game of "Would You Rather" on a recent minisode of Barber and Sweetin's rewatch podcast, as they look back at the two-parter where Jesse and Becky (Lori Loughlin) get married. During the wedding-themed quiz, the co-hosts were asked if they'd rather marry Joey or Jesse, but they found the question to be "weird". "They're like family, and it's weird," Sweetin said. The pair did, however, pick Joey, with Sweetin saying the choice was based on "temperament alone". "There's nothing remotely attractive about this," Barber added later. "They are just our buddies and, yeah, this is kind of a weird question." After Full House ended in 1995, Sweetin, Barber, Bure and more of the Full House cast reprised their roles in the Netflix reboot Fuller House, which ran from 2016-2020.
