Picture Credit: Instagram Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently got emotional as she addressed the Telugu diaspora in the United States during the prestigious Telugu Association of North America (TANA) 2025 celebrations. The actress broke down in tears while expressing her deep gratitude to the Telugu community, who have supported her through the ups and downs of her 15-year-long career. In a video shared by Gulte, during her speech, Samantha confessed that it took her far too long to stand on that stage and thank the people who accepted her from her very first film. "You made me your own from my very first film," she said, bowing her head to the audience. "I can't believe it has taken me 15 years to come here and say thank you." The 'Kushi' actress acknowledged how the Telugu community, especially in North America, stood by her even through the most trying times. "Every step I took, every mistake I made, you still didn't let go of me," she said tearfully. "Wherever I go, whatever I do, and whichever industry I work in, the first thought that comes to my mind before making any decision is: Will the Telugu audience be proud of me or not?" The actress also mentioned that the Telugu audience gave her not just a successful career but something much more personal and meaningful. "You gave me an identity, a home, and a sense of belonging. I truly mean that from the bottom of my heart," she said. Samantha Ruth Prabhu made her debut as a producer with the horror comedy film 'Subham'. Directed by Praveen Kandregula, the film features new talent and has garnered positive reception, particularly among Telugu audiences abroad. She is currently working on her upcoming series, 'Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom' created by Raj & DK and directed by Rahi Anil Barve. She is also occupied with her next film, 'Bangaram'.

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently got overwhelmed with emotions during her speech at Telugu Association of North America (TANA) 2025 event. She addressed the North American Telugu community while expressing gratitude for their unwavering support for Telugu cinema and in her speech mentioned that she wanted to be a part of the event since past 15 years. In a video shared by Gulte on its X handle, she said, "I can't believe it took me 15 years to be on this stage. Book on ‘Antiquity of Telugu language' launched at TANA conference
Vijayawada: A book establishing the antiquity of Telugu Language, written by Dr E Sivanagireddy, noted archaeologist and CEO of Pleach India Foundation, was released at 24th TANA (Telugu Association of North America) conference at Show Place, Novi, Detroit, USA on Saturday. Dr Sivanagireddy said the book provides authentic source material based on Prakrit, Sanskrit, Telugu-Kannada and Telugu Inscriptions found engraved on stone plaques and copper plates between 3rd century BCE and 11th century CE. This book was launched by Indian-American Oncologist Dr Dattatreyudu Nori at TANA literary meet in the presence of Telugu actor and politician M Murali Mohan, academician and Hindu coordinator for US and Canada Prof Yarlagadda Laxmi Prasad and co-editor of TANA Souvenir Naveen Vasireddy. Dr Sivanagireddy briefed the audience of the literary meet in the antiquity of 2300 year old Telugu language which was given the status of Classical Language citing references from the inscriptions of both the Telugu States.

A book on the antiquity of the Telugu language, authored by E. Sivanagireddy, a noted archaeologist and CEO of Pleach India Foundation, was launched at the 24th TANA (Telugu Association of North America) conference at Show Place, Novi, Detroit on Saturday. According to Mr. Sivanagireddy, the book provides authentic source material based on Prakrit, Sanskrit, Telugu-Kannada and Telugu inscriptions found on stone plaques and copper plates dating between the 3rd century BCE and 11th century CE. A renowned Indian -American oncologist Mr. Dattatreyudu Nori has unveiled the book. Dr. Reddy briefed the audience on the antiquity of the 2,300-year-old Telugu language, which has been given the status of a classical language, citing references from inscriptions found in both Telugu States. Noted actor and politician M. Murali Mohan, noted academician Prof. Yarlagadda Laxmi Prasad, co-editor of the TANA souvenir Naveen Vasireddy and several writers including, Rentala Jayadev and Kiran Prabha, were present.

Vizag-based NRI Satish appointed as TANA trustee
Visakhapatnam: Satish Meka, a native of Visakhapatnam settled in America, has been appointed as a trustee of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) Foundation. The TANA election committee and the board of directors jointly nominated Satish Meka for the position wherein he will hold the position till 2029. Meanwhile, Satish thanked the board of directors for selecting him and the TANA executive committee and members for their cooperation. He will take part in organising the 50th golden jubilee celebrations of TANA scheduled in 2027. Speaking on the occasion, Satish mentioned that he will work tirelessly to provide assistance and support to the Telugu people in America and the development of TANA. Satish studied at St Peter's High School in Gnanapuram till Class X and completed his Intermediate at Pendurthi Government Junior College. Later, he pursued a degree and PG in Visakhapatnam and went to America two decades ago to settle there. Earlier, he extended financial assistance to St. Peter's School in establishing digital classrooms and a number of other government schools in Visakhapatnam and the Godavari districts.
