KCPD investigating after homicide near 29th, Wabash

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department is investigating a homicide near the 2900 block of Wabash on Sunday evening. Officers were called to scene on a reported shooting just before 8:30 p.m. When they arrived, they were directed to a residence on Wabash. They found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after. See the latest headlines in Kansas City and across Kansas, Missouri Preliminary investigations revealed there was an altercation outside of a residence between multiple people that led to shots being fired and the victim being struck. Police currently have nobody custody. This incident is still under investigation. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A teenage girl is in the hospital with critical injuries after she was shot overnight in a Kansas City, Kansas, park. According to a , at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday, deputies were called to Quindaro Park — located just north of Interstate 635, near Park Drive and Sewall Avenue — on reports of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they reported finding a Hispanic teenage girl suffering from gunshot wounds. The sheriff's office said a suspect has been identified and taken into custody. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed Friday night in south Kansas City, investigators reported. According to the Kansas City Police Department, at about 8:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 82nd Street and Troost Avenue on reports of a shooting. Man pleads guilty to shooting, killing 6-year-old boy in Kansas City, Kansas While officers were driving to the scene, KCPD said they received multiple calls about shots in the area, and an additional call about a shooting victim found near 82nd Street and Tracey Avenue. When KCPD arrived, they reported finding a man suffering from gunshot wounds in the street. Officers immediately began performing life-saving operations until paramedics arrived. The man was then taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. At this time, police are still searching for a suspect and believe there was an altercation between multiple people in the street before the shooting occurred. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri police detectives are investigating a shooting Wednesday night that left two people dead. The shooting was reported just after 9 p.m. at E. 96th Terrace and Fremont Avenue. Two people hospitalized after fiery crash near I-49 in Grandview, police say When officers arrived on scene they located two victims, a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began performing life saving measures and ordered KCFD EMS to the scene. Medics declared both victims dead on scene. They have not been identified. No suspect is reported to be in custody at this time. Preliminary investigation revealed there was an argument that led to a physical confrontation between several people, according to KCPD. The physical confrontation led to shots being fired and the victims being struck. Detectives are continuing to investigate the scene. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A search is underway after FBI Kansas City investigators said a man robbed a bank Tuesday morning near the Country Club Plaza. Just after 9:30 a.m., the FBI Kansas City office said a white man entered the UMB Bank — located at 4920 Main Street — and presented a note to the employees that demanded money. 21-year-old KC man hospitalized after Memorial Day rollover crash The man then fled the scene, leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash. Luckily, no injuries were reported. According to the FBI Kansas City office, the man was described as 5'5″ to 5'9″, slender and wearing a brown-hooded sweatshirt. He was also wearing a black T-shirt under this sweatshirt, brown pants and multi-color tennis shoes.
