Mysuru: BJP activists on Friday staged a protest against the closure of Janaushadi Kendra on govt hospital premises. The protest was organised by the BJP units of Mysuru city and rural areas, in front of KR Hospital. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Protesters expressed their anger by raising slogans against the state govt, demanding the withdrawal of the order. BJP activists, including MLA TS Srivatsa, city president L Nagendra, and former deputy mayor Roopa, participated in the protest. Srivatsa questioned if the state govt decided to close Janaushadhi centres because it features a photo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "Whose photo is displayed at Indira Canteen? Why have you put photos on buses? Will you do the same with the Anna Bhagya scheme one day? The state govt should stop playing divisive politics," the Krishnaraja MLA asked. "The health minister has not provided a satisfactory answer in the House and has made arrogant statements," Srivatsa said, adding that Janaushadhi centres are essential. Nagendra said govt's decision to close Janaushadhi centres is wrong and should be immediately revoked. "There are over 1,200 medicines available at these centres at cheaper rates. Therefore, the state govt should reconsider its decision, or we will continue our protest," he warned.

Mysuru: BJP MLA TS Srivatsa on Tuesday stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a stern warning that any ceasefire violations by Pakistan would face established through partition, lacks a history of struggle for Independence. Unlike Pakistan, which survives on external support, India fought foreign invasions. In its 75-year existence, Pakistan consistently harboured terrorism, leading to violence against Indians. India's recent military response effectively countered Pakistan's military power, including the destruction of their air bases. The MLA also emphasised that while military successes should be attributed to the armed forces, Congress representatives were politicising the Mysore MP Yaduveer Wadiyar stated that nine terrorist camps were identified and targeted during Operation Sindoor and hailed the soldiers for their achievements. He stressed that India would continue to counter Pakistani efforts effectively. He noted that global peace depends on Pakistan ceasing its terrorist activities. The situation demands unity and support for Union govt decisions, he comparisons between Indira Gandhi and Narendra Modi, each leader acted according to their respective era's requirements, said the BJP MP. "Such comparisons in this context are inappropriate, as both leaders operated under different circumstances," he said.

Mysuru: Mysuru city and district BJP units protested outside the office of the deputy commissioner in Mysuru at Siddhartha Nagar on Tuesday, demanding the state govt send Pakistani nationals back to their country. Union govt gave directions to all state govts to send Pakistani nationals back within 48 hours after the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which led to the death of 26 civilians. Even though BJP-ruled states implemented this order effectively, non-BJP-ruled states like Karnataka are delaying the process, they claimed. The protesters also shouted slogans against Pakistan, accusing it of aiding, abetting, and sheltering terrorists. The protesters threatened to intensify their stir in the coming days across the state if the govt failed to fulfil their demands. Krishnaraja MLA TS Srivatsa, city BJP president L Nagendra, and district BJP president LR Mahadevaswamy were present.
