At HT Auto, we are dedicated to delivering the most relevant and current information as it becomes available. Below is a concise overview of the key highlights from Friday, July 24. TVS Ntorq 125 Super Soldier Edition launched TVS Motor Company has introduced a new variant of its Ntorq 125 scooter, this time drawing inspiration from Marvel's iconic superhero, Captain America. Dubbed the TVS Ntorq 125 Super Soldier Edition, the new model adds to the existing Super Squad series—a line-up that fuses comic book culture. With earlier editions paying homage to Iron Man, Spider-Man, and other characters, this latest release brings back Captain America with a refreshed look and new graphic treatment. The 'Super Soldier" edition builds on the 2020 Captain America-themed Ntorq, but the design has evolved. It now sports a camo-inspired body wrap with bold graphics, star insignias, and a more rugged, military aesthetic. These visual updates aim to connect with Gen Z riders who often look for products that reflect both style and personality. Man in the saddle and wife on pillion: ‘Snatcher couple who roamed around on stolen vehicles' arrested in Delhi

Delhi Police said they arrested a snatcher couple–with a combined 15 cases of snatching in their kitty–on Sunday following a woman's complaint that her gold chain was snatched in Rani Bagh in broad daylight. Rahul, 30, and his wife, 28, would look like any other couple when they were out riding on a scooter in Delhi's Outer and Dwarka areas, according to the police. However, the couple–Rahul in the saddle and his wife on the pillion–would actually be looking for their next snatching target. 'On Tuesday, a PCR call was received by a woman regarding an incident of chain snatching in front of Ekta Boutique, Rishi Nagar, Rani Bagh. She said she was on her way from her residence to a nearby aerobic centre. When she reached near the centre, a TVS Jupiter scooter approached her. A woman in a pink suit on the pillion snatched her chain,' said Sachin Sharma, DCP (Outer). A case was registered at the Rani Bagh police station under sections 304, 3, and 117 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita–related to snatching and causing grievous hurt. After scanning through 300 CCTV videos, the police found out that the scooter the couple were riding was a stolen one. 'Subsequent verification on ZIPNET revealed that the scooty had been reported stolen from Nihal Vihar on the day of the snatching. CCTVs led investigators to Nangloi, where an informer identified the suspects as Rahul and a female associate, both residents of Sultanpuri,' DCP Sharma said. Raids at the couple's house were futile as they were absconding. However, the police received a tip-off on Sunday that the couple might be hiding in the Hastsal area of Uttam Nagar. More raids followed and the couple were nabbed. 'The couple operated as a team, wherein they would first steal a vehicle and subsequently use the stolen vehicle to commit snatching and robbery offences. This layered approach was intended to conceal their identity and hinder tracing by law enforcement agencies,' DCP Sharma said.

Ludhiana: Man hurls petrol bomb at house in Satjot Nagar, scooter damaged

A man allegedly hurled a petrol bomb at a house in Satjot Nagar locality on Dhandra Road late Tuesday night, sparking a fire that damaged a parked scooter. According to Sakshi Pahuja, the complainant in the case, Daljit Singh, a resident of Kotmangal Singh, Shimlapuri, is suspected to have thrown the burning bottle into her home's courtyard around 11.45 pm while the family was asleep. No injuries were reported. 'As soon as the bottle hit the ground, it exploded into flames, igniting the area and setting our new TVS Jupiter scooter on fire,' she told the police. The family members rushed outside on hearing the noise and saw the scooter engulfed in flames. They immediately called the police control room. ASI Ashwani Kumar, who is investigating the case, stated that an FIR has been lodged under Sections 326 (G) (mischief by injury, inundation, fire or explosive substance, etc), 351(1) and (3) (criminal intimidation), and 324(4) (5) (mischief) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
