Meet star kid whose first film flopped and now he's betting big on Sunny Deol's next
No one's a born actor and acting is such a skill that evolves with time! The Indian film industry has witnessed many actors refining their mettle over the years. While a few keep working, some adapt a different approach and wait for a strong project to be offered. And the latter is the case with a budding actor, who's a son of a popular Bollywood figure. Well, we are talking about Ahan Shetty. Ahan was born on December 28, 1995, to Suniel and Mana Shetty. He has an elder sister, Athiya, who has now quit showbiz and is living away from the spotlight. Going by his social media handle, the 29-year-old seems to be a huge sports enthusiast. From football to shooting and tennis, he has never shied away from channeling his inner sportsman. Not only this, but the rookie actor maintains a sculpted physique by hitting the gym. One can notice several snaps from his gym and workout sessions on his social media profile. Coming to his career, Ahan Shetty marked his debut with the romantic action drama film Tadap (2021). Directed by Milan Lutharia, the movie featured Tara Sutaria as the female lead. Touted to be a remake of a hit Telugu film, RX 100. Unfortunately, it couldn't do wonders at the box office, and Tadap flopped drastically. Since then, Ahan didn't sign any project, but now, he's betting big on one of the most anticipated movies, Border 2. Yes, you read that right! The Tadap actor will be seen sharing screens with Sunny Deol in the sequel of Border. Helmed by Anurag Singh, the upcoming installment also stars Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. Border 2 is scheduled to release in cinemas next year during the Republic Day weekend. On the other hand, Ahan was set to star alongside Pooja Hegde in a movie titled Sanki, backed by Sajid Nadiadwala. However, according to the reports, the project has been put on the back burner. Well, as of now, the young actor has taken up 'mama' duty as Athiya welcomed a baby girl with her husband, KL Rahul.

Exclusive! Tara Sutaria finds love in Veer Pahariya?
Word on the street is that Tara Sutaria and Veer Pahariya might just be Bollywood's newest couple to watch. If whispers from insiders are anything to go by, the two have been quietly exploring their equation. 'The two started dating just a couple of months ago. And they are trying to figure things out. They often keep going out for dates,' a source reveals. Sutaria and Pahariya walked as showstoppers at a fashion week in March this year. It is unclear whether the two started dating before that or after. The duo was also seen out on what looked suspiciously like a date, adding fuel to the fire. Pahariya, a former political scion now dipping his toes into acting, was previously linked to actress Manushi Chhillar . The two were seen at Anant Ambani's wedding celebrations, which kicked off speculation. But Chhillar put those rumours to bed in an interview with Bombay Times : 'Oh, my God, poor Veer. No way. No (we are not dating), absolutely not... That's my only interaction with the boy.' Pahariya is also famously known to have dated actress Sara Ali Khan . Tara Sutaria, known for her roles in Student of the Year 2 and Tadap , was earlier linked to actor Arunoday Singh, seen in films like Blackmail and Aisha . That chapter too seems to have closed quietly. "Arunoday is a dear friend of mine and I am single," she clarified. While love may be in the air, both actors have chosen to stay tight-lipped for now. Attempts to reach Sutaria and Pahariya were met with radio silence. Check out our list of the latest Hindi , English , Tamil , Telugu , Malayalam , and Kannada movies . ‘Dhajjiyan uda dunga': Suniel Shetty threatens to expose Bollywood folks running negative campaigns against son Ahan
Actor Suniel Shetty voiced his anger at those who've allegedly spread negativity about his son, Ahan, in the press. He said that he will expose each and every person responsible for these negative campaigns, and threatened to hold a press conference where he will reveal their names publicly. He said that Ahan has been accused of having a large entourage by individuals who are upset that he chose to do Border 2 instead of their film. He also said that Ahan was replaced in projects because of these negative reports. Ahan is working on Border 2, a sequel to the iconic original war movie, in which Suniel played a memorable role. In an interview with Zoom Entertainment, he said that he has advised Ahan to treat Border 2 like his final film. He said that the movie will probably be rewatched for years and years on important occasions such as Independence Day and Republic Day, and that it's important for Ahan to put his best foot forward. Suniel also said that Ahan had numerous offers on the table, but chose to do Border 2 because of his love for the nation and the family's connection to the series. Also read – Suniel Shetty recalls rejecting Border after hearing of JP Dutta's temper: 'I might just slap him' He said, 'I told him that this movie will keep him alive (in the minds of the audience) for decades to come, like the first Border has kept me alive. Ahan let go of a lot of opportunities because of this film; he missed out on a lot because of the ego of others. He was thrown out of those films, and he was blamed for it in the press. They said that he has a 10-person entourage; people paid lots of money to get negative articles written about him. Do you think I don't have connections? Do you think I can't do the same thing?' He continued, 'I still pay for my own food. I spend my own money to this day, not the producer's. And that's how Ahan has been raised. I've never spoken about this, but I'll say this now. All this negativity was orchestrated because Ahan wanted to do Border 2, and people wanted their films to take off and not Border 2. If this continues, I will hold a press conference and expose each and every person's name. Jiski dhajjiyan udani hain, uda dunga. That child's obsession is Border.' Ahan made his acting debut with the film Tadap, which was released in 2021. The film was directed by Milan Luthria, and made over Rs 30 crore at the box office. Border 2 is his second movie, and it will release in 2026, five years after Tadap. Border 2 is headlined by Sunnny Deol, and also stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and others. Suniel Shetty will be seen in the film Kesari Veer on Friday.

Suniel Shetty says Kesari Veer is Sooraj Pancholi's second chance: ‘Boy has seen a lot, reminds me of Ahan'
Sooraj Pancholi is all set to return to the big screen as Hamirji Gohil, the warrior who fought against the Tughlaq Empire and saved Somnath Temple from destruction, in Kesari Veer. His last release was Stanley D'Costa's Time To Dance in 2021. Sooraj has been embroiled in the case of actor and his late girlfriend Jiah Khan's suicide case. He was acquitted of abetment charges by a CBI court in Mumbai in 2023. At the trailer launch of Kesari Veer in Mumbai on Tuesday, Sooraj's co-star Suniel Shetty gave him a pep talk, post which he became visibly emotional. View this post on Instagram A post shared by SCREEN (@ieentertainment) 'He's seen a lot. Now, he's got this second chance. Trust me, this is an opportunity the Almighty has given, that Mahadev (Lord Shiva) has given. You'll see it in the film that he's unbelievably good! Every time I see him on screen, it's like I'm watching Ahan. That's the kind of effort he's put in. And the same kind of love,' said Shetty. His son, Ahan Shetty, made his acting debut with Milan Luthria's 2021 action thriller Tadap and will be next seen in Border 2. Suniel Shetty pointed out why young actors like Ahan Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi aren't able to nail the same level of popularity and success that stars like him did back in the 1990s. 'Our films were made for the audience. The films today are made for finance. A CEO can never make a film. Only a director and an artiste can. Give them films like those and then see. If you watch Kesari Veer, you'll say Sooraj is way ahead of Anna and others. That's the truth,' said Shetty. 'Struggle has always been there, and it'll be there for you too. You'll win one Friday and doubt yourself on the next one. But it's all subject to the film, the co-actors around you, and the subjects you pick,' added the actor.
