Video of Tesla Cybertruck being keyed goes viral with man denying the act
Mar. 25—Videos of a Tesla Cybertruck being keyed at the Omni Mount Washington Resort have gained much attention online with a man denying doing it while being questioned by police.
Carroll Police Chief Tadd Bailey said the department responded to the hotel just before 5 p.m. on Saturday to investigate the reported vandalism.
"The incident is under investigation by us and the Coos County Attorney's Office," the chief said.
He would not say if there have been any arrests or charges at this point.
Kerri Pouliot, who posted the video on the X social media platform, said the Cybertruck was vandalized within an hour of arriving at the hotel. The video posted on Monday had more than 3 million views before 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Cybertrucks have up to seven cameras mounted to the tailgate, doors, windshield, front wheel and front bumper. The footage can be uploaded to applications on smartphones.
Another video shows two men being questioned by police with one man denying he knew anything about the keying.
"You didn't key that Tesla?" an officer asked.
"No," the man said.
The officer then told the two men the incident was recorded.
The two men "didn't know or didn't care that they would be recorded. Charges pending! Class A felony in NH," Pouliot wrote.
