He is also in the middle of his best ever season in the MLS, netting 12 goals and racking up eight assists in 27 games in all competitions. Swansea are certainly keen on adding a striker to their ranks this summer, but club insiders have heavily played down suggestions he could be a target. A report from Hayters claims Swansea City are among a number of clubs to have expressed an interest in the former West Ham youngster, adding that Leicester City, West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers, as well Belgian duo Gent and Genk are also keeping an eye on developments. The 27-year-old has been with the Bundesliga side since 2023, and scored three goals in 32 games in all competitions. ‌ His last spell in English football came in the form of a two-year spell in League One with Bolton Wanderers, where he scored 21 goals in 101 games. Another winger is likely to be on the wishlist for the Swans heading into the last few weeks of the window. But again, the prospect of a move has been heavily played down by Swans insiders. Spurs and Watford eye academy duo Tottenham are reportedly among the clubs monitoring Swansea City academy duo Harlan Perry and Brogan Popham. ‌ According to TEAMtalk, the Premier League giants and Watford have emerged as the most serious contenders for the teenagers, who have also attracted interest from a host of clubs in England and Scotland. The duo, both 17, are already Wales under-19 internationals, and are believed to have impressed scouts from across the UK, with Manchester United and Manchester City both allegedly taking notes on the pair. Perry is seen as a dynamic box-to-box midfielder, while Popham is a towering centre-back. ‌ Both are yet to commit themselves to a professional deal with the Swans, meaning their futures could now be uncertain. QPR agree Kone deal Queens Park Rangers appear to have won the race for Wycombe Wanderers striker Richard Kone. According to Football Insider, a deal has now been agreed between the two clubs, with the 22-year-old now seemingly poised to make the move to west London. ‌ Content cannot be displayed without consent Swansea City has also shown a keen interest, and saw two bids rejected before seemingly moving on to other targets. Preston North End and Toulouse similarly had approaches knocked back, but QPR appear to have pushed ahead in the race to sign the Ivorian. Casey hoping for Crawley chance Kaelan Casey is hoping to get more minutes under his belt when Swansea City host Crawley Town in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night. ‌ The West Ham United loanee came off the bench during the opening day defeat to Middlesbrough on Saturday, and is hoping to be involved at the Stadium in City's first home game of the season, 'I think first half at Middlesbrough we played reasonably well, but then it's really disappointing to concede from a set-piece,' said Casey. 'We have another game coming up quickly, so we'll have to make sure we improve. ‌ 'I was pleased to make my debut, but obviously I was not happy with the result, I am here to try and help the team, and to test myself. 'I am looking forward to Tuesday and I hope I can get more minutes, particularly playing in front of the home fans for the first time. 'We won't underestimate the task at hand, you should never take an opponent lightly and I am sure we will be ready to go." Cabango sat out all of City's pre-season friendlies in recent weeks, after picking up a calf problem during the club's training camp in Spain. Many will have feared the worst watching the 25-year-old going off in the second half on Teesside, but Sheehan has since eased any immediate concerns. ‌ 'Ben had a bit of cramp,' the Swans boss said. 'He is such a leader and a warrior for us. We have had Jay Fulton and Arthur Parker filling in there for us and they have done a good job for the team. 'But to have the skipper back was positive, he played really well and defensively we looked very solid.' Article continues below
