Here's your round-up of all the latest Swansea City news for Monday, August 11.

Canadian striker not on radar
Swansea City are not currently in the running for Minnesota United striker Tani Oluwaseyi, sources have told WalesOnline.

According to GiveMeSport, the MLS side have already rejected a $4m from a top-half La Liga club for Canadian international, whom it's claimed is also attracting interest from elsewhere in the Championship.

Preston North End have also been identified as a possible suitors for the 25-year-old, who has 15 caps for Canada.
He is also in the middle of his best ever season in the MLS, netting 12 goals and racking up eight assists in 27 games in all competitions.
Swansea are certainly keen on adding a striker to their ranks this summer, but club insiders have heavily played down suggestions he could be a target.

Winger links played down
The same goes for St Pauli winger Dapo Afolayan.
A report from Hayters claims Swansea City are among a number of clubs to have expressed an interest in the former West Ham youngster, adding that Leicester City, West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers, as well Belgian duo Gent and Genk are also keeping an eye on developments.
The 27-year-old has been with the Bundesliga side since 2023, and scored three goals in 32 games in all competitions.

His last spell in English football came in the form of a two-year spell in League One with Bolton Wanderers, where he scored 21 goals in 101 games.
Another winger is likely to be on the wishlist for the Swans heading into the last few weeks of the window. But again, the prospect of a move has been heavily played down by Swans insiders.
Spurs and Watford eye academy duo
Tottenham are reportedly among the clubs monitoring Swansea City academy duo Harlan Perry and Brogan Popham.

According to TEAMtalk, the Premier League giants and Watford have emerged as the most serious contenders for the teenagers, who have also attracted interest from a host of clubs in England and Scotland. Sign up to our Swansea City newsletter here.
The duo, both 17, are already Wales under-19 internationals, and are believed to have impressed scouts from across the UK, with Manchester United and Manchester City both allegedly taking notes on the pair.
Perry is seen as a dynamic box-to-box midfielder, while Popham is a towering centre-back.

Both are yet to commit themselves to a professional deal with the Swans, meaning their futures could now be uncertain.
QPR agree Kone deal
Queens Park Rangers appear to have won the race for Wycombe Wanderers striker Richard Kone.
According to Football Insider, a deal has now been agreed between the two clubs, with the 22-year-old now seemingly poised to make the move to west London.

Swansea City has also shown a keen interest, and saw two bids rejected before seemingly moving on to other targets. Preston North End and Toulouse similarly had approaches knocked back, but QPR appear to have pushed ahead in the race to sign the Ivorian.
Casey hoping for Crawley chance
Kaelan Casey is hoping to get more minutes under his belt when Swansea City host Crawley Town in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

The West Ham United loanee came off the bench during the opening day defeat to Middlesbrough on Saturday, and is hoping to be involved at the Swansea.com Stadium in City's first home game of the season,
'I think first half at Middlesbrough we played reasonably well, but then it's really disappointing to concede from a set-piece,' said Casey.
'We have another game coming up quickly, so we'll have to make sure we improve.

'I was pleased to make my debut, but obviously I was not happy with the result, I am here to try and help the team, and to test myself.
'I am looking forward to Tuesday and I hope I can get more minutes, particularly playing in front of the home fans for the first time.
'We won't underestimate the task at hand, you should never take an opponent lightly and I am sure we will be ready to go." Sign up to the Swansea City WhatsApp service to get breaking news and top stories sent to your phone.

Sheehan plays down Cabango concerns
Swansea City boss Alan Sheehan has played down concerns around captain Ben Cabango after the Wales international limped out of Saturday's defeat to Middlesbrough at the Riverside.
Cabango sat out all of City's pre-season friendlies in recent weeks, after picking up a calf problem during the club's training camp in Spain.
Many will have feared the worst watching the 25-year-old going off in the second half on Teesside, but Sheehan has since eased any immediate concerns.

'Ben had a bit of cramp,' the Swans boss said.
'He is such a leader and a warrior for us. We have had Jay Fulton and Arthur Parker filling in there for us and they have done a good job for the team.
'But to have the skipper back was positive, he played really well and defensively we looked very solid.'

He returned to Belgium to become head coach of Brugge Under-23s, before being appointed caretaker manager of the first team in March 2024 following the dismissal of Ronny Deila. Brugge missed out on a second successive league title under Hayen last term, finishing runners-up behind Union Saint-Gilloise. They did, however, win the Belgian Cup with a 2-1 victory over Anderlecht in the final. They also reached the last 16 of the Champions League after finishing in the last qualifying place (24th) in the league phase with 11 points from eight fixtures. They claimed wins over Sturm Graz, Aston Villa and Sporting CP and held Celtic to a 1-1 draw at Parkhead as well as claiming a point from Juventus on home soil. They are three matches into their 2025-26 league campaign and sit sixth in the standings having collected six points with two home victories over Genk and Cercle Brugge either side of an away defeat to Mechelen. They also emerged with a 4-2 aggregate victory from their Champions League third qualifying round tie against RB Salzburg, winning the away leg 1-0 and the home leg 3-2. The most recent meeting between the sides took place only last month - July 6 - when they battled out a 2-2 draw at Ibrox in a pre-season friendly. Rangers struggled early on and were two goals down inside 13 minutes but a superb strike from Mohamed Diomande early in the second half gave them a foothold before Findlay Curtis levelled in the 89th minute. The defence will be marshalled by 32-year-old club stalwart Brandon Mechele, who is entering his 14th season with Brugge, while Ecuador centre-back Joel Ordóñez, the 21-year-old rising star, has been linked with Liverpool, Aston Villa and Tottenham. PSG vs Tottenham Hotspur UEFA Super Cup prediction, odds and betting offer

PSG face Tottenham in the 2025 UEFA Super Cup at Stadio Friuli as Luis Enrique meets Thomas Frank's new-look Spurs at the Stadio Friuli in Udine Paris Saint‑Germain and Tottenham Hotspur meet on Wednesday night for the 2025 UEFA Super Cup, the annual showdown between the Champions League and Europa League holders. The tie is set for the Stadio Friuli in Udine, a compact stage well suited to a one‑off with little margin for error. Luis Enrique's side finally captured Europe's biggest prize earlier this summer, sweeping aside Inter Milan 5‑0 in the final. Momentum then stalled at the revamped Club World Cup, where Chelsea beat them 3‑0 in New Jersey. This Super Cup will be their first outing since that defeat, a chance to clear the head and frame the season not around a setback, but around habits that won them the continent. Spurs ended a 17‑year wait for silverware by edging Manchester United 1‑0 in the Europa League final. Change followed regardless, with Ange Postecoglou departing and Thomas Frank chosen to lead the next chapter. The Dane inherits belief, a medal in the cabinet and an expectant fanbase; now comes the task of shaping structure and tempo without dulling the edge that delivered May's breakthrough. PSG's passing structure should see plenty of the ball, with full‑backs stepping in to compress play. Tottenham are unlikely to sit deep; expect coordinated pressure from the front and quick outlets when possession turns over. The first half may be tight on chances, with the contest opening after the hour as legs fade and benches are used. In a single match, moments matter more than patterns, and composure in both boxes tends to decide everything. For PSG, this is an early chance to add another European honour and show that the Club World Cup was a bump, not a bend. For Tottenham, lifting the Super Cup would harden last season's progress into something repeatable, a statement that their drought‑ending win was a beginning rather than a one‑off. For both clubs, it is a night to set standards, not stories. Man Utd's secret weapon confirms arrival after Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo transfers

A key figure has made the switch to Manchester United from one of Jim Ratcliffe's other major sporting investments and is already making an impact on recruitment at Old Trafford The recruitment team at Manchester United has been given a boost by the arrival of a key former ally to Lewis Hamilton. Michael Sansoni spent more than a decade working in Formula 1 for the Mercedes team and contributed to eight team's championships and six of the seven titles won by Brit Hamilton. ‌ An enormous amount of data is collected and analysed at every single F1 race and Sansoni has a wealth of experience when it comes to deciphering it. During his time at Mercedes, he rose to the position of performance engineer working specifically with Hamilton. ‌ But he left the team, which is one-third owned by Jim Ratcliffe through is INEOS petrochemicals company, earlier this year for a move to the British billionaire's flagship investment. Sansoni has been confirmed as the club's new director of data. ‌ "Reporting to Omar Berrada, chief executive, Sansoni will be responsible for transforming the club's capabilities in data and artificial intelligence, drawing on his experience in machine learning and advanced modelling in Formula 1," a club statement read. "He has been tasked with establishing Manchester United as a data-led organisation, embedding predictive and AI-driven decision-making across football and the wider club. To support these objectives, further recruitment is planned into a number of data, software and platform engineering roles in the coming months, as Sansoni builds out his team." And it seems their new recruit has begun in earnest. In a post on social media site LinkedIn, Sansoni suggested that two of Man United's major summer signings so far, forwards Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbuemo who cost the Old Trafford club a combined £133.5million, were identified as a result of his data-led efforts. READ MORE: Jadon Sancho transfer interest confirmed as club chief breaks silence – 'I want him' He wrote: "I am very lucky to have had not just one, but two dream jobs. After a phenomenal time in Formula 1, it is a privilege to now be part of the biggest club in world football. "Over the past few months, we have already made meaningful progress. With new methodologies starting to take shape and two fantastic signings, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, already reflecting some of that early work. ‌ "I have inherited a brilliant team: smart, committed, and hungry to make a difference and together we are building a world-class data and AI function to power decision-making across football and the wider club. The challenge is great, but so is the opportunity." Man United have also added Benjamin Sesko this summer, signing the striker from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to £74m. And they have been heavily linked with a swoop for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba who would also command a significant transfer fee, should the Seagulls be willing to sell.
