Full-Time Killer, Part-Time Influencer: Inside Tauseef Badshah's Reel World

Patna: The man identified as the principal killer in the Bihar hospital murder, 26-year-old Tauseef Badshah of Patna, is not an unknown entity. A day after he casually led a posse of five inside a hospital room, executed his target, then walked out with the same casual swagger, Tauseef Badshah's social media handles have come to the fore. Tauseef's Instagram account features reels showing him driving around Patna, often with dramatic captions. One reel in particular, captioned "King of Patna", shows him cruising the city streets. His YouTube channel features 129 short videos. Most are styled after urban gangster tropes - thumping music, fast cuts, and over-the-top dialogues. In one clip, Tauseef is seen driving a car with a baby on his lap. It remains unclear if the child is related to him. Other videos show him with associates with voiceover scripts, usually in Hindi, playing in the background. His Facebook bio reads: " Jis jungle me tum sher bane ghumte ho, us jungle ke bekhauf shikari hai hum (In the jungle where you walk as a lion, I am the fearless hunter)." The Hospital Execution And Aftermath On Thursday, CCTV footage from inside Patna's upscale Paras Hospital captured five men entering a corridor in silence. At the front of the group: Tauseef, untucked shirt swaying slightly, collar loose, gun in hand. Seconds later, a gangster called Chandan Mishra lay dead in the ICU. The footage shows that while the others broke into a run after firing, Tauseef walked out with the same unhurried pace with which he had entered. Within hours, Patna police identified all five attackers. Six suspects have since been arrested from Patna and Buxar districts. Search operations are ongoing at properties and safe houses linked to the Sheru gang, a criminal gang linked to the shooting. Chandan Mishra, the man Tauseef gunned down, had been named in 24 cases, including over a dozen murders. At the time of his death, he was serving a sentence for a previous killing and was out on medical parole. According to the police, the shooting was carried out becuase of an old feud. Chandan and another gangster, Sheru, were previously allies but had a falling out while imprisoned in Bhagalpur. Chandan later branched off, but continued to use the "Sheru gang" brand.

Who Is Tauseef Badshah? The Man Who Brazenly Shot Dead Gangster In Bihar Hospital

Tauseef Badshah, an alleged contract killer, led the shootout at Paras HMRI hospital in Patna to kill gangster Chandan Mishra. He was detained by police. Bihar Hospital Shooting: In one of the most chilling displays of gang violence, five armed people entered the Paras hospital in Bihar and shot dead a gangster, who was undergoing treatment and was released on parole. Tauseef Badshah, a rival gangster, led the shootout. The target was Chandan Mishra, a resident of Buxar who was named in at least 24 criminal cases, including murder. A now-viral video from the hospital shows the attackers entering the lobby with guns before fleeing moments later after the shooting. After the murder, Tauseef did not run out with the other accused but strutted out of the hospital, unfazed by the murder. He was the first to be detained by police, while raids were conducted at several locations to take the rest into custody. A total of six suspects from Patna and Buxar are in custody. Who Is Tauseef Badshah? Tauseef Badshah hails from Patna's Phulwari Sharif area, where his father owns a hardware business and his mother is a teacher. He attended Saint Karen's School, police sources told NDTV. Tauseef was named in at least one case under the Arms Act and had become involved in contract killings. He began receiving payments to execute murders or assist in coordinating such operations, police said. It is believed that Chandan Mishra's murder was rooted in an old rivalry with another gangster named Sheru. Chandan and Sheru were reportedly allies who parted ways in Bhagalpur jail, and the former began operating independently. Police have officially attributed the incident to a gang rivalry. How Was The Attack Planned? According to a report by India Today, police officials found that the gang that killed Chandan had conducted detailed groundwork and had gathered extensive knowledge about the hospital's layout. Badshah had frequently visited the facility when a close associate with undergoing treatment. Before the shooting, the gunmen had gathered knowledge of Chandan's location and the lock of Room 209, where he was admitted, was already faulty and could not be secured from inside, making it easier for the shooters to enter. The gunmen were initially stopped at the hospital's emergency gate by security personnel and were asked to provide gate passes. Since no one had the gate pass, they slipped in through the OPD and made their way to Room 209, and shot Chandan. CCTV footage showed that while four gunmen fled from the room after the murder, Badshah continued to walk in a slow and nonchalant pace, apparently unfazed by the murder. The gunmen were seen celebrating the act before speeding away on their motorcycles. Political Backlash Union Minister and NDA ally Chirag Paswan targeted the Nitish Kumar-led BJP-JDU government on Thursday over the killing of a criminal in a Patna hospital, saying that Bihar's law and order situation has become a cause for concern. 'Murders are happening every day. The morale of criminals is sky-high. The strategy of the police and administration is beyond comprehension," he said. Tejashwi Yadav, RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, posted on X: 'Criminals, protected by the government, shot at a patient admitted to a Patna hospital. Is anyone safe in Bihar? Did such an incident happen in Bihar before 2005, during the RJD's rule?" Recent weeks have seen a string of murders in Bihar, claiming the lives of businessman Gopal Khemka, BJP leader Surendra Kewat, and lawyer Jitendra Mahato. With state polls approaching, the law and order situation has sparked heated debates between the Opposition RJD and the ruling JDU-BJP coalition. Tauseef Badshah: Story Of Bihar Hospital Killer With Movie-Style Swagger

Patna: In one of the most chilling displays of targeted violence in recent memory in Bihar, CCTV footage from inside Patna's upscale Paras Hospital captured five men entering a corridor in silence. At the front of the group: a man, untucked shirt swaying slightly, collar loose, gun in hand. He does not run. He does not hide his face. His gait is slow. His face, unreadable. Seconds later, a gangster called Chandan Mishra lay dead in the ICU. The man leading the hit was soon identified as Tauseef Badshah. Chandan Mishra, a known gangster with 24 criminal cases, including a dozen murders, was on parole for medical treatment. He had been admitted to Paras Hospital under guard. But on Thursday morning, five men strolled into the hospital, walked unimpeded to the ICU, opened fire, and vanished into the chaos. Chandan Mishra did not survive. At 7:30 am, the first reports came in. By 8:00 am, CCTV footage of the killing was circulating on social media. Within hours, the police had identified all five attackers. The footage shows Tauseef Badshah walking ahead of the group, a pistol visible in his right hand. There is no hesitation in his stride. When the shots are fired inside the ICU, the other assailants run. Tauseef, once again, does not. He exits with the same strut, seemingly unfazed by the murder he had just committed. After the killing, two photographs surfaced that only added to the brazenness of the act. In one, Tauseef is seen riding pillion on a motorcycle with two others, one hand raised in the air, holding a pistol. Another attacker appears to celebrate the killing with both hands raised in triumph. Who is Tauseef Badshah? According to the police, Tauseef Badshah belongs to Patna's Phulwari Sharif. His father owns a hardware business. His mother is a teacher. He attended Saint Karen's School. Tauseef already had a criminal record. He is named in at least one case under the Arms Act. According to the police, Tauseef had recently become involved in contract killings. He had started accepting money to carry out murders or to provide logistics for such operations. Police sources confirm that the murder is rooted in an old rivalry between Chandan Mishra and a gangster named Sheru. Once allies, Chandan and Sheru reportedly fell out in Bhagalpur jail. Chandan later broke away and began operating independently, though still branding his gang under the "Sheru Gang" label. Political Fallout The murder of a jailed gangster inside a reputed hospital under the watch of police personnel has led to sharp political reactions. Tejashwi Yadav, RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, posted on X: "Criminals, protected by the government, shot at a patient admitted to a Patna hospital. Is anyone safe in Bihar? Did such an incident happen in Bihar before 2005, during the RJD's rule?" Independent MP from Purnea, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, claimed he received a threatening call warning him to stay away from the case. "Law and order have completely collapsed in the state. I would demand the imposition of President's rule when I meet the governor. Criminals are being killed on the basis of their castes," he claimed. The Bihar Police have detained six suspects so far from Patna and Buxar. Intensive searches are underway at known hideouts, particularly those linked to the Sheru gang.
