Spartans extend offer to Chicago safety prospect during MSU visit on Tuesday Tavares Harrington announced on Tuesday he received an offer from the Spartans following a spring visit to Michigan State Michigan State football has extended an offer to a three-star safety from Chicago. Tavares Harrington of Chicago announced on Tuesday that he's received an offer from the Spartans, according to his social media X account. He was visiting Michigan State on Tuesday and received an offer while on his visit. Harrington is listed as a three-star prospect in the 2027 class, according to Rivals. He holds a rating of 5.7 on Rivals. Michigan State is one of nearly 10 schools to extend Harrington an offer, according to 247Sports. The other schools to offer Harrington includes Iowa State, Kansas State, Louisville, Missouri, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Wisconsin and Miami (OH). Nebraska extends offer to rising Illinois safety
Nebraska football extended an offer to 2027 defensive back Tavares Harrington on Saturday. He made the announcement on social media. Harrington is not ranked in the 247Sports Rankings. However, he does have a growing offer sheet, with seven scholarships in total. In addition to the Huskers, Louisville and Missouri are two of the more prominent schools that have extended scholarships. He took an unofficial visit to Louisville on March 6 and an unofficial visit to Missouri on March 8. Currently, the 2027 Nebraska football recruiting class has no commitments. However, that could change soon, with multiple visits and offers on the table for the program. The Huskers have been heavily recruiting the state of Illinois in recent weeks. Harrington would be a solid addition to a defense with a bright future and several impact playmakers.
