My Chemical Romance fans think they've teased a UK tour

My Chemical Romance have hinted at a UK tour. The Teenagers rockers are currently on the North American leg of their Long Live The Black Parade stadium tour and have dates booked in South America and Asia next year. And on Friday (08.08.25), the group suggested they could also be planning a return to the UK after sharing a new video featuring an old-school TV game show called Quizzo. In the clip, the host said: 'Our two fine contestants will help us learn who will be the next lucky country to win the grand prize of one nuclear winter." After a player pushes a big button, the host revealed: 'Congratulations, United Kingdom!' The post caused fans in the comment to query whether it meant some new tour dates are to be announced soon. This isn't the first time the group have sparked speculation with a cryptic post because last month, fans were convinced new music was on their way. A picture depicting a stage light was captioned on the band's Instagram: "A dagger, a dagger, Please fetch me a dagger." The art also features the clue "Time: 7:11:25:00". Sadly for fans, new material didn't materialise and it seemed to be a reference to the start of their Long Live The Black Parade stadium tour in the US. In 2022, MCR released their first new music in a almost decade, the single The Foundations of Decay. In February, Frank Iero kept tight-lipped on rumours about a new My Chemical Romance album. The guitarist and backup vocalist insisted that there was no news to tell with regards to new material. Asked if there is anything to 'report' about a follow-up to 2010's Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys, he told NME: 'No, sorry. 'When that stuff – if that stuff were to happen, we will tell you. We will tell you in the way we want to tell you.' The 43-year-old musician also stayed schtum about the Long Live The Black Parade Tour heading across the pond to the UK. He said: 'It's been long-documented that we are huge fans of the UK – this is a home away from home for us. 'We've done things where the first place we played for a record release was the UK. It's always felt like a place that we love and that we hold very dear. But, to tell the future? It would be remiss to do that.'

My Chemical Romance fans are 'freaking out' after they tease UK tour

Fans of the American rock band My Chemical Romance are definitely 'not okay' after the emo legends appeared to tease an upcoming UK tour. Considered one of the most influential bands of their era and genre, 'My Chem' released four full studio albums and a string of Platinum-selling singles between 2003 and 2010. The band – comprising singer Gerard Way, guitarists Frank Iero and Ray Toro, bassist Mikey Way, and drummer Bob Bryar for their classic lineup – called it a day in 2013 after more than a decade in the spotlight. My Chemical Romance built a loyal, dedicated fanbase, and their split is believed to have brought the curtain down on a wave of emo music and fashion that rose to prominence in the 2000s. After six years away, the band reunited for a one-off show in 2019 before announcing tour dates across the world in 2020 – these shows were postponed until 2022 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. At this time, the band released their first new song in eight years – The Foundations of Decay – but a new album never arrived, and the reunion tour concluded in 2023. In tragic news, drummer Bryar was found dead at his home in November 2024, and the band played only two shows that year. My Chemical Romance returned to regular live shows in July 2025 on the Long Live The Black Parade Tour and have more shows planned for 2026, and now a new video on social media has teased a return to the UK for the first time in four years. In the video, which features a parody quiz show called Quizzo, the host asks says: 'Our two fine contestants will help us learn who will be the next lucky country to win the grand prize of one nuclear winter?' After one of the contestants presses a big button, the host shouts, 'Congratulations, United Kingdom!' indicating that the Teenagers hitmakers will be heading here soon. Naturally, My Chem's fans have taken this news calmly. @KofidereVT said: 'My Chemical Romance may have just teased UK dates. I swear to god, I will scream to get an opportunity to see them live again. Gerard Way, don't break my heart.' @Cryophantasm jumped the gun: 'My Chemical Romance has just announced a UK tour, this is not a drill, I am going to die,' while @ArtsTinyHat said they would 'not be calm' about the news. Meanwhile, @RoozNotDead said that My Chemical Romance touring the UK would mean that their money is 'not safe', indicating that they were willing to spend hundreds on tickets. More Trending During their heyday, My Chemical Romance scored nine top 40 singles in the UK and released two top 10 studio albums, with 2006's The Black Parade reaching number two on the album charts. Their biggest win came in October 2006 when their song Welcome to the Black Parade unexpectedly spent two weeks at number one, beating competition from the likes of Nicole Scherzinger, Girls Aloud, and Meat Loaf. Welcome to the Black Parade remains the band's most successful song to date, having been certified 2x Platinum in the UK and a whopping 7x Platinum in America. Got a story? Two kids charged with murder, man dead

Two teenagers have been charged with the murder of a man who was found stabbed to death in front of his Sunshine Coast mansion. Zdravko Bilic, 57, was found unresponsive by a neighbour in the front yard of a home in Napalle St in Warana about 7.35pm on Monday. Police said he sustained two stab wounds to his abdomen. Police now allege there was a disturbance at the Napalle St home, leading to Mr Bilic being stabbed. A 15-year-old West Woombye boy and a 17-year-old Beerwah boy have since been charged with murder. They are set to appear in Maroochydore Childrens Court on Thursday. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Detectve Inspector Chris Toohey said Mr Bilic was home alone at the time. He said Mr Bilic's wife, skincare entrepreneur Gry Susann Tomte, was away on a business trip and raised the alarm when she had not heard from her husband for some time. '(Ms Tomte) was concerned because she hadn't heard from him and as a result spoke to the neighbour who made the emergency call,' he said. He said police were investigating multiple lines of inquiry, including whether Mr Bilic's body had been lying in front of the house for several hours before he was found by the neighbour. Police were focusing on the window between 11pm on Sunday and 7pm to 7.30pm on Monday. Mr Bilic and Ms Tomte purchased the Sunshine Coast mansion for $2.5m in December 2021 before settling into the home in March the following year. Inspector Toohey said Mr Bilic was a 'valued member of the community' and that his 'terrible' death shocked their neighbours. 'He is a community-minded person that was well-loved in the area,' he told reporters. MsTomte, who is originally from Norway and co-founder of Melbourne-based skincare company HUD Skin and Body, which has clinics in St Kilda and Northcote. She told 9News her husband was the 'kindest, gentlest person I've ever known'. 'Loved by everyone who ever had the fortune of meeting him,' she said. Inspector Toohey said the Sunshine Coast was a 'very safe community'. Warana is considered one of the safest areas of the Sunshine Coast, known for its up-market homes and stretches of beaches. 'We pride ourselves on having, trying to maintain a safer environment for all our residents and of course being a tourist destination - we also like for people coming to visit to feel safe,' Inspector Toohey said. 'So (Mr Bilic's death) is a shock. 'It makes us more vigilant to maintain that level of safety and make sure that we hold the (alleged) offenders to account.'
