My Chemical Romance fans are 'freaking out' after they tease UK tour
Considered one of the most influential bands of their era and genre, 'My Chem' released four full studio albums and a string of Platinum-selling singles between 2003 and 2010.
The band – comprising singer Gerard Way, guitarists Frank Iero and Ray Toro, bassist Mikey Way, and drummer Bob Bryar for their classic lineup – called it a day in 2013 after more than a decade in the spotlight.
My Chemical Romance built a loyal, dedicated fanbase, and their split is believed to have brought the curtain down on a wave of emo music and fashion that rose to prominence in the 2000s.
After six years away, the band reunited for a one-off show in 2019 before announcing tour dates across the world in 2020 – these shows were postponed until 2022 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
At this time, the band released their first new song in eight years – The Foundations of Decay – but a new album never arrived, and the reunion tour concluded in 2023.
In tragic news, drummer Bryar was found dead at his home in November 2024, and the band played only two shows that year.
My Chemical Romance returned to regular live shows in July 2025 on the Long Live The Black Parade Tour and have more shows planned for 2026, and now a new video on social media has teased a return to the UK for the first time in four years.
In the video, which features a parody quiz show called Quizzo, the host asks says: 'Our two fine contestants will help us learn who will be the next lucky country to win the grand prize of one nuclear winter?' https://www.instagram.com/p/DNFheMAgMj0/?hl=en
After one of the contestants presses a big button, the host shouts, 'Congratulations, United Kingdom!' indicating that the Teenagers hitmakers will be heading here soon.
Naturally, My Chem's fans have taken this news calmly.
@KofidereVT said: 'My Chemical Romance may have just teased UK dates. I swear to god, I will scream to get an opportunity to see them live again. Gerard Way, don't break my heart.'
@Cryophantasm jumped the gun: 'My Chemical Romance has just announced a UK tour, this is not a drill, I am going to die,' while @ArtsTinyHat said they would 'not be calm' about the news.
Meanwhile, @RoozNotDead said that My Chemical Romance touring the UK would mean that their money is 'not safe', indicating that they were willing to spend hundreds on tickets. More Trending
During their heyday, My Chemical Romance scored nine top 40 singles in the UK and released two top 10 studio albums, with 2006's The Black Parade reaching number two on the album charts.
Their biggest win came in October 2006 when their song Welcome to the Black Parade unexpectedly spent two weeks at number one, beating competition from the likes of Nicole Scherzinger, Girls Aloud, and Meat Loaf.
Welcome to the Black Parade remains the band's most successful song to date, having been certified 2x Platinum in the UK and a whopping 7x Platinum in America.

ITV ‘in talks to extend I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! until at least 2030'
ITV 'in talks to extend I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! until at least 2030' A TV source says the broadcaster is planning to secure the series' Australian jungle location for another five years and if successful, the deal would take the hit reality show up to its landmark 30th series. Ant and Dec have presented the show since it first started in 2002 (Image: ITV) ITV is reportedly in talks to extend I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! until at least 2030. A TV source says the broadcaster is planning to secure the series' Australian jungle location for another five years and if successful, the deal would take the hit reality show up to its landmark 30th series. The discussions would mark a shift in strategy for ITV, which has previously only signed three-year agreements to use the Murwillumbah site in New South Wales. The Sun reported negotiations are now under way with Australian authorities and the Tweed Shire Council, which must approve any extended filming permits. A TV insider told the newspaper: "The production team are planning five years in advance, which is a long-term approach they haven't adopted before. But this is not a done deal with the local authorities, and the negotiations have just started to secure the site. "They're not taking anything for granted but are hopeful all parties involved will be able to reach some kind of agreement." A spokesperson for Tweed Shire Council confirmed talks are ongoing. She said: "They will need to seek permission again – we can't give open-ended filming permissions to anyone." I'm A Celebrity, hosted by Ant McPartlin, 48, and Declan Donnelly, also 48, remains ITV's highest-rated returning entertainment series. Last year's 24th series drew an average audience of 9.1 million, making it 2024's most-watched entertainment programme. I'm A Celebrity launched in 2002, with DJ Tony Blackburn, now 81, crowned the inaugural winner. The format sees celebrities undertake challenges in the Australian jungle, competing for public favour. The show temporarily relocated to Gwrych Castle in North Wales in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid pandemic. Article continues below Its most recent series was won by 38-year-old singer Danny Jones, from the band McFly. Richard Coles, 62, and Coleen Rooney, 39, were runners-up. The 25th series is set to return this autumn, although ITV has not yet revealed the full celebrity line-up.

Paul Hollywood's brother ‘punched to the floor and kicked' in horror attack
Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood's brother, Lee Hollywood, was attacked in a 'nasty' and 'unprovoked' assault (Picture: Shutterstock) The brother of Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood has been victim of a brutal attack, during which he was punched to the ground and kicked in the face. Taking to Instagram this weekend, Paul, 59, re-shared a Facebook post by Wirral police which outlined details of the attack. The initial post detailed how a man 'in his 50s' was walking his dog when he got into a dispute with another dog owner. It continued: 'The dogs were separated by the other male who then became irate. As the man walked away he was approached from behind and punched to the floor by the male. He was then kicked in the face and back before the male made off.' Police revealed that the unnamed man suffered 'injuries to his back and face,' and was taken to hospital for treatment while officers investigate witnesses and CCTV. The TV judge and celebrity baker has since identified the attack victim as his younger brother Lee Hollywood, and launched his own appeal for information. Paul has shared the police's appeal for information (Picture: ITV/Shutterstock) Lee Hollywood is the brother of TV baker Paul (Picture: Shutterstock) Sharing the post to his Instagram account, Paul wrote: 'If you have information regarding this attack on Friday night, the person in question who was attacked is my brother Lee. 'Any information please follow details above Thankyou.' The post by Wirral Police also included a statement from Detective Inspector Phil Ryan, who said: 'This was a nasty and unprovoked assault which left the man needing hospital treatment. 'We are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Links View Playing fields or Shackleton Road at around 7pm last night who heard or saw the incident or saw the male leaving the area to contact us.' Local police are investigating the crime (Picture: Facebook) Like his older brother, Lee is a baker, and worked with Paul at their father's bakery in York – until the celebrity baker hit the big time, that is. 'I'm the grafter of the family, Paul's too busy with Bake-Off. The last time he made a proper loaf was about ten years ago,' Lee joked to The Daily Mail in 2016. Lee used to run Liverpool's Born & Bread, supplying baked goods to local businesses, although this reportedly went into administration in recent years. Paul previously shared his fear that Lee would die after he contracted COVID (Picture: Shutterstock) In 2021, Paul revealed how he feared Lee 'could die' after being hospitalised with COVID during the height of the virus. 'My brother phoned me up a couple of weeks ago to say he caught Covid,' he told The Sun at the time. 'It was a huge panic….I didn't want to lose him.' Paul grew famous as a celebrity bake and Bake Off host while brother Lee continued working in the industry (Picture: Channel 4) He continued: 'My other brother, Jason set up this WhatsApp group. We were bombarding him 'Where are you? What's happening? Are you in ICU?' And it was a huge panic for me. I don't want to lose my brother.' Thankfully, Lee made a full recovery, to the great relief of Paul and the rest of their family. Got a story? American who moved to UK shares three words they never said until ditching States
An American man who is now living in the UK has said there are three British words that have become part of his vocabulary since leaving the US - and he can't stop saying them We may speak the same base language as our cousins across the pond in the US, but there's some British slang that just can't be replicated in any other part of the world. And as one American man who moved to the UK has found out, it's very hard to stop yourself from picking up on the myriad of slang words we have in various parts of the country. K Jordy currently lives in London, but originally lived in Bristol when he first settled down in the UK after leaving his US roots behind. He is now a successful vlogger who regularly makes content about British life that leaves his viewers in stitches - and his latest TikTok video is no exception. The man declared in that living in the UK has "changed him", as there are now three English words that he would never say before moving here that he now catches himself uttering every single day. 1. Quid Brits will know this as a popular slang term for money, specifically as an alternative to "pound". But this is not a word used in the States at all, so K Jordy was surprised when he noticed it had become part of his vocabulary. He said: "I think this is regional, because I first moved to Bristol in the South West of England, and it was so popular. I just love how they [say] quid [for] money. At first it started as a joke, and now I just love saying it. Like, 20 quid." 2. Rubbish Typically known as "trash" in the US, "rubbish" is another staple of the English language that K Jordy insisted he had "never uttered" before moving to the UK. He even claimed that he was forced to swap to using "rubbish" after his co-workers at his first job in a local Wetherspoons pub mocked him for saying "trash". Warning: The below video contains strong language. He explained: "Rubbish is that one word you hear all the time in British TV shows and British movies. I didn't think I'd actually catch on, but then I almost got kind of made fun of for saying trash. "One of my first jobs, I worked at Spoons, [and I would say] 'Where's the trash at?', and they'd all be like 'Where's the trash?' [in a mocking tone]. To get out of people making fun of me, I switched to rubbish, and now it's just become part of my vocabulary." 3. Banter K Jordy described "banter" as one of his "favourite words", and said he loves how it encompasses all sorts of chat from having a good sense of humour to flirting with someone. He said: "Banter isn't just joking. It could be joking, flirting, or taking the p**s. It's such a perfect word to describe so much all wrapped into one. And that's why I love it. "You're on a date with a girl and she has good chat, [you can say] 'Oh mate, she has good banter'. That's why you might like her. Banter. It's goated. I will forever say that." Commenters on K Jordy's video dubbed him an "honorary Brit", with many pointing out that the way he dropped "taking the p**s" into his clip made him "more British" than he might have realised. One person said: "I can hear your British accent forming." Another added: "You have become an honorary Brit!" Someone else from the US also expressed their wish to move to the UK, writing: "I've been watching a lot of Coronation Street lately, and now I want to move to England! Plus, videos of Americans living in the UK keep popping up, which makes me want to move from the US to the UK even more."
