Lotto winner is third Kerry player to secure major cash prize in one week
Kerryman A Kerry player has become the third person from the Kingdom to win a lotto prize in less than a week by securing more than €250,000 on Saturday. The lucky player won a prize of €259,089 after matching five numbers and the bonus in the main Lotto draw on Saturday night. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased from Daybreak in Kenmare on June 5. On Friday (June 6), a Kerry player won the Telly Bingo Snowball prize worth €60,019. The winning ticket was sold in Cahill's SuperValu in Ballybunion, where former post mistress and Asdee woman Mairead Doyle purchased a Quick Pick ticket that won €30,570 in January. Last Tuesday (June 3), another Kerry player won €500,000 after matching all five numbers in the Euromillions Plus draw. The winning Quick Pick was sold on June 1 in Healy's Shop, New Street, Killarney.

The second winner purchased their Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw from The Natter Day Today Store in Ongar Village. Meanwhile, a Co Kerry player won the Telly Bingo Snowball prize on June 6, worth an incredible €60,019. The winning ticket was sold in Cahill's SuperValu in Ballybunion. Incredibly, this is the second big win for the store this year, after a former post mistress purchased her Quick Pick ticket there and matched 5 numbers in the main Lotto draw on January 8 to claim €30,570. National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O'Dwyer said: "Last night's EuroMillions draw brought fantastic news for two of our players in Dublin, who both scooped a handsome prize of €23,054, while a player in Co Kerry claimed €60,019 Snowball prize in Friday's Telly Bingo game. We're encouraging all our players to check their tickets today to see if they're our latest big winner. It's always exciting to see players winning life-enhancing prizes, and we can't wait to hear how these winners plan to celebrate!" With the €250 million jackpot now capped, Tuesday's draw promises to be one of the most thrilling in EuroMillions history. There were big celebrations for one Irish punter after lightning struck twice and saw the same county get its second Telly Bingo win of the week. During the May 16 draw, one lucky player from the west struck gold in scooping the Snowball prize worth an incredible €65,005. The winning ticket in question was purchased in Tesco's Roscommon Town branch. This closely follows another Roscommon success just last week when a player scooped €50,005. Meanwhile, there was EuroMillions Raffle joy for another Irish punter earlier this week, with the lucky customer hauling in a tidy €255,000. The Telly Bingo Snowball draw starts at a set amount of €10,000 and increases with each draw until someone wins it by marking off all numbers on their bingo card within a specific number of calls.
