What's in your cart? ‘Real Housewives' star Bethenny Frankel's top summer beauty buys

What's in your cart? 'Real Housewives' star Bethenny Frankel's top summer beauty buys Shop must-have products that Frankel swears by from Thayers, GlamWave and more Bethenny Frankel knows good products. The former "Real Housewives of New York City" star might've gotten her start in the world of reality TV, but the mogul has gone on to build a pretty robust fandom for herself far beyond the Bravo universe. With her sharp wit, unfiltered honesty and captivating charisma, the newly minted beauty influencer has amassed a loyal following of 2.8 million TikTok fans. Frankel has become one of the most trusted sources for product recommendations and (often very animated) takes on viral trends, including that Walmart Birkin dupe. Given her excellent taste in products (including chicken salad, of course), it's no surprise Frankel struck up a partnership with Thayers—the internet-loved brand behind some of the most popular organic beauty products. For their latest collaboration, Thayers has enlisted Frankel to find the brand's first-ever Chief Mom Officer (CMO), with the goal of celebrating the "original skincare marketers" (aka moms) and their massive impact—both within their family's lives and skincare routines. As part of USA TODAY Shopping's "What's in your cart?" franchise, we connected with Frankel to discuss her new Thayers campaign, favorite skincare products and the other summer buys she can't live without—including a gem necklace for less than $100 and a santal-scented body mist. 📲 More: What's in your cart? 'Bachelorette' Tayshia Adams shares her marathon training essentials Bethenny Frankel's favorite skincare products Surprising to no one, Frankel's summer skincare routine includes a mix of essential Thayers products—like the Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Facial Toner and Thayers Blemish Clearing Acne Pads. "I've been using Thayers for years—it was the first brand that I ever associated with witch hazel. It's drugstore and affordable but it looks very elite and rich. I've been lucky to partner with them in the past and when the opportunity came for us to celebrate mothers, it was an absolute 'yes,'" Frankel says. Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Facial Toner Frankel says she uses this best-selling Thayers toner within her skincare routine. $11 at Amazon Thayers Blemish Clearing Acne Pads The reality star is also "obsessed" with these Thayers acne pads, which she says are great for cleaning pores "without stripping your skin." $10 at Amazon Shop more of Bethenny Frankel's summer must-haves Frankel's favorite summer products don't star at just Thayers—the internet personality also dished on her other favorite buys, which range from a Kusshi Makeup Bag to an Infrared Hair Brush. Salt & Stone Body Mist This top-rated hair and body mist is infused with the most decadent santal fragrance. $45 at Amazon Kusshi Neoprene Train Case Makeup Bag Keep all of your beauty essentials organized with this handy makeup bag—a favorite of Frankel's. $48 at Amazon L'Ange Infrared Thermal Ionic Brush One of her top beauty essentials, this genius hair styler combines the capabilities of a blow dryer brush and a curling iron. $89 at L'Ange Electric Picks Beverly Hills Necklace Channel Frankel's iconic style and add a little sparkle to one of your summer looks with this dazzling necklace. $68 at Electric Picks What to know about Bethenny Frankel's new collaboration with Thayers: Frankel has partnered with Thayers on a unique campaign that's designed to celebrate moms and help the brand enlist their first Chief Mom Officer (CMO). The collaboration was announced ahead of Mother's Day 2025, and Thayers will continue accepting applications for the special role through Friday, May 16. The winner of this one-day role will have the opportunity to not only try select products, but also enjoy a "power lunch" with Frankel herself. As for what the one-on-one with Frankel will entail, the star reveals: "Everything. No topic is off limits. Skincare, business, money, motherhood, mental health, relationships, reinvention—I want to know what lights you up and what's keeping you up. It'll be a strategy session, a business brainstorm and a little bit of therapy—with a side of an amazing meal, obviously," Frankel says. Why is Thayers Natural Remedies so popular? Unlike other skincare brands, Thayers is hailed for its wide assortment of organic skincare products, which include the use of witch hazel—a (now) popular ingredient that's designed to help remedy pesky skin concerns like acne and oily textures.

Between being a successful entrepreneur, self-proclaimed accidental beauty influencer, podcaster and a mother, Bethenny Frankel is keeping busy — while gatekeeping her time. The always-on-the-move Frankel dished to us on her wellness and beauty routine, time with her daughter, and an upcoming Thayers partnership she's truly excited about. She shared details with the New York Post about the contest, which honors mothers and includes a power lunch with Frankel herself. 'We're going to have a fun day, there are going to be a lot of interesting women there,' she told The Post, while spilling details of the campaign. Advertisement The Skinnygirl founder said that now, she's prioritizing what's important, including mornings when she makes her daughter coffee and breakfast. 'I just dropped my daughter off at school. That's a great time to be together — we were singing in the car. I just wake up and I drive her in pajamas and slippers,' she said. However, finding time to get her steps in can be a challenge. 'I'm trying to squeeze exercise in because I'm not diligent enough about it,' she shared. After dropping her daughter off, she'll take a walk before her next appointment for the day, which, on this day, is a blowout before meeting with fellow podcaster Tinx. The ever-glam Frankel says that her beauty routine has also become streamlined. 'I'm fashionable, so I'm going to make somewhat of an effort, but the makeup will take five minutes. Yesterday, I was going out with my team for a goodbye dinner, and it took five minutes to do the makeup.' Of course, there were 'cute guys at the restaurant,' because even Frankel is not immune to the laws of nature, but 'What are you gonna do?' she sighed. 'I'm changing my life and gatekeeping more.' She's also limiting her commitments these days, even passing on opportunities that others would jump at, like attending the Kentucky Derby and the White House correspondent's dinner. '[The Derby] would have been a lot on me, because I don't do anything if I don't do it at a 10. So, take that off the board because I just had to self-preserve.' However, Frankel is very excited to make time for her partnership with Thayers, because it celebrates the people she respects most: Moms. She's also a longtime fan of the brand. 'That was the first brand that I ever associated with witch hazel. I always liked the product,' she said. Frankel shopped it more recently because 'The packaging was elevated, and it was drugstore [beauty], but it looks very elite and rich,' adding that the brand is 'affordable and accessible — it's a really solid brand.' Thayers 'I'm big on toner pads, and on using toner for cleansing — but also hydrating, not stripping the skin, she said. 'There's a delicate balance because I don't really wear makeup or love makeup, but now I'm taking a nature walk, and I've washed my face — but in an hour I'll use a toner pad on my face and it'll be dirty.' 'It's weird how during the day, particularly in bigger cities, but everywhere, your skin gets so dirty and you can't put harsh products on it all day. Otherwise, it would be extremely irritated and dry, and it wouldn't be breathing. So, it's a great product line because it cleanses, hydrates, and also lets your skin breathe and it doesn't over-strip,' Frankel shared. '[Makeup] sits in your pores, and it's why people don't have vibrant skin. And, it's why even in my fifties, I don't wear makeup,' Frankel said. 'I don't care. I wear it when I'm being paid to, or I'm going to sit down with a 24-year-old supermodel, you know what I mean? I need to put something on — it's a necessary evil, but you've got to get it out of your pores. So this product is really great for all of that.' 'You definitely need that tread on that pad. I love that because it's exfoliating and also cleansing and also hydrating, Thayers 'The milky cleanser is good, but the facial toner with witch hazel, they elevated it. I have right now the one with the rose,' the Just B podcast host said, adding that she enjoys the delicate floral scent. 'It's not too fragrant, it's like Goldilocks — just what it needs to be.' Thayers Frankel also loves spritzing the aloe vera-infused mists on the go. The alcohol-free formulas can comfort and hydrate skin. Even with a dialed-back calendar, at the end of the day, Frankel makes time for self-care. 'Before I go to bed, I put on a furry eye mask and a warming neck pillow, and it helps me to relax and to fall asleep. Sometimes I do a [facial] mask or a sheet mask,' she said. Amazon While Frankel didn't specify what brand of fuzzy eye mask she prefers, she has posted on TikTok that she uses warming ones with lavender, even while traveling. Of Thayers' campaign, which includes a contest to hire a one-day 'Chief Mom Officer' (CMO), Frankel says, 'Moms are like an army, they're extremely loyal, and they are powerful. They hold the strings in this country, and they get more done than anyone. They're badass, and they're funny,' she said. The one-day CMO will receive an expense-paid trip to New York, work with focus groups, have photo shoots, and enjoy lunch with Frankel herself. The contest is open to moms of all sorts, mother figures, mentors, internet moms and more — and it comes with some serious perks. 'I think it's cliche, but the one day a year for moms is certainly not substantial, it's like cramming,' Frankel said. The star quipped, 'In real life, the moms are a mafia. They're hard.'
