Calvin Harris welcomes first child with wife and radio presenter Vick Hope
DJ Calvin Harris has welcomed his first child with his wife, Vick Hope, and described the radio presenter as a 'superhero'. The 41 year-old musician, best known for his hit songs One Kiss and Feel So Close, shared the news on social media that their son, Micah, was born on July 20. Harris posted a series of photographs on Instagram on Monday along with the caption: '20th of July our boy arrived. Micah is here!' He added: 'My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah.' Vick Hope and Calvin Harris at The Brit Awards 2024 (Ian West/PA) The comments section was flooded with congratulations from fans around the world as well as fellow musicians including Jade Thirlwall and Craig David. Some comments expressed surprise at the choice of photographs the DJ shared which included what appears to be the before and after shots of the placenta, the organ which forms in the womb during pregnancy, before it was steamed, dehydrated and ground into pills to be consumed. Consuming one's own placenta, known as placentophagia, remains a debated practice with some claiming it offers health benefits. Among the supporters was singer Becky Hill who posted in the comments: 'Love to see the placenta!! Amazing we grow a whole new organ to provide life! Good job not wasting it either, that's some goddess magic right there!' Celebrities who have reportedly eaten their own placenta include reality star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian, American singer and actress Mandy Moore, and Mad Men star January Jones. Hope, 35, is best known for presenting the BBC Radio 1 drivetime show Going Home. She reportedly married the Dumfries-born DJ in 2023. He is behind the hit number one songs Sweet Nothing, Summer, and Promises.

Danny Jones' emotional chat with wife Georgia as he opens up on 'hurt and trauma'
McFly star and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2024 winner Danny Jones married his wife Georgia in 2014, and together they have son Cooper McFly star Danny Jones returns to screens tonight in a re-run of Michael McIntyre 's The Wheel, just days after his wife Georgia posted their first photo together in four months. This snap was shared after he had an alleged kiss with his former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! co-star Maura Higgins at The Brit Awards earlier this year. In the picture, Danny and Georgia are seen beaming, as they posed alongside 15 of her relatives for a family photo. The picture appears to quash any doubts about their 11-year marriage, as they continue to remain together. Just weeks prior to the controversy, the 39-year-old musician gave his most candid interview to date, on the High Performance podcast. In the lengthy discussion, he opened up about his battles with anxiety and his decision to seek professional help, after his father Alan left during his teenage years. The King of the Jungle met his first therapist at the age of 18, around the time McFly were first making waves in the music industry. Having realised the positive impact therapy had on his mental health, he has pursued his path to healing ever since. Quizzed about his wife's reaction to his personal struggles, he admitted she had her reservations at first, but these changed once he explained his need for it. "It's just little steps over the years that you do and I think it's the same with healing and the same with dealing. I was obviously hurt by something and traumatised and needed rebalancing, or reprogramming should I say," he shared. "You know, it's great talking to friends, it's great talking to your loved ones, because my wife didn't understand why I had to go at first. "She's like, 'Why don't you talk to me? Why can't I help you?' But I needed that one professional, actually many professionals over my time, just to reprogram me and podcasts helped me massively." Danny said he found particular solace in listening to Mel Robbins, famed for her TEDx talk How to Stop Screwing Yourself Over, and business owners who shared his sentiments. "I just related to these people over the years of listening to podcasts and I found it so helpful," he revealed. "That's when I went to my wife and I was like, 'I think I need to go back to therapy', because I had that Ashley guy (one of his therapists) when I was 18, but then I feel like I needed it again. "And I felt like how many times can my wife hear me talk about this? And I didn't want it to get too much for her." While he is now in an improved mental and emotional state thanks to therapy, Danny said he still occasionally grapples with understanding his feelings. Reflecting on his stint in last year's I'm A Me Out Of Here!, he added: "There's definitely things that I've learned in the jungle, that I need to just talk about, [such as] understanding myself, and understanding my emotions. I still don't do that, because I think understanding my emotions will help me to communicate better. I just need to work on that." Michael McIntyre's The Wheel airs tonight at 7.05pm on BBC One.

Jade shares hidden tribute to Oasis at Glastonbury despite Noel Gallagher feud
Jade Thirlwall isn't one to Look Back In Anger, with the former Little Mix singer still willing to take style inspiration from Noel Gallagher despite the Oasis rocker's nasty jibes Pop icon Jade Thirlwall has shown she isn't one to hold a grudge by revealing she took inspiration from the Gallagher brothers for her Glastonbury looks. The former Little Mix singer, 32, clashed with Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher when the 58-year-old took aim at her band's achievements. But Jade, who had an iconic response to Noel's shady comments, isn't too stubborn to not appreciate the rocker's iconic style. In a new post, the X Factor winner - who rocked a green parka inspired co-ord on the Woodsie stage on Saturday - reveals Noel and his brother's infamous Brit pop style made her mood board when looking for inspiration for her Glastonbury look. At the start of this year, Jade reflected on the Wonderwall singer's brutal jibes about her band Little Mix from four years ago and disclosed how her boyfriend, Rizzle Kicks' Jordan Stephens, chose to confront Noel in person over the comments, only to be met with a foul-mouthed tirade. After Little Mix made history at The Brit Awards in May 2021, Noel felt obliged to voice his opinions on the Black Magic singers being the first all-female group to win the British Group award. The veteran rocker suggested that the award-winning girl band were "not in the same league as Oasis" and hinted their record-breaking victory indicated a problem within the music industry. During an episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks the same year, Jade responded to the unsolicited criticism from the seasoned rocker with a hilarious retort. Speaking to Louis Theroux on his eponymous podcast, she delved deeper into her band's feud with the father-of-three. "Well, we're very different bands, so I'll give him that respect," the Angel of My Dreams singer conceded to the documentary maker. "We're very, you know, we're a pop girl band. Yeah. I don't know why he was comparing us, actually." Louis then speculated if Noel made the comment "for the clicks. " Jade playfully replied: "I think so," referring to Noel's love for confrontation. "I think he loves a little confrontation, doesn't he, that one. She then quipped: "You can't really argue with that, do you know what I mean? And I also kind of, um, love that I've ended up in some sort of tiff with one of the Gallaghers. I feel like, it's the same as getting a hate tweet from Azalea Banks." Jade then shared a story during Louis' Spotify podcast about an encounter her beau, Jordan, had with Noel at Glastonbury. Jade and the Rizzle Kicks frontman started their romance amid the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020. Her recount of that event was: "I seen him [Noel] at Glastonbury that year, actually," and detailed that Jordan confronted Noel saying, "I'm going to go over and say something. I was like, alright then, give it a go. They went over, I was like, you are really rude about my girlfriend. Do you want to apologize? He went, f*ck off! And I thought, do you know what? Fair play." Talking about the time back in 2021 when Jade addressed Noel's harsh words towards herself and her Little Mix bandmates Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, she had a sharp retort on Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Referring to the incident, she recounted, "Noel did [slag us off]" while sitting on the panel of the comedy show's revival. Jade added insult to injury by recalling, "Something about that we were undeserving of the Brit Award because we're women and don't - well we do write music - but he thinks we don't write music. Well, we're very different bands, so I'll give him that to that respect." "Yeah, shame really," the award-winning singer adds. "Because you know, we are definitely the most successful girl group in the country, but he's not even the most successful performer in his family!"
