Jade shares hidden tribute to Oasis at Glastonbury despite Noel Gallagher feud

Jade Thirlwall isn't one to Look Back In Anger, with the former Little Mix singer still willing to take style inspiration from Noel Gallagher despite the Oasis rocker's nasty jibes
Pop icon Jade Thirlwall has shown she isn't one to hold a grudge by revealing she took inspiration from the Gallagher brothers for her Glastonbury looks. The former Little Mix singer, 32, clashed with Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher when the 58-year-old took aim at her band's achievements.
But Jade, who had an iconic response to Noel's shady comments, isn't too stubborn to not appreciate the rocker's iconic style. In a new post, the X Factor winner - who rocked a green parka inspired co-ord on the Woodsie stage on Saturday - reveals Noel and his brother's infamous Brit pop style made her mood board when looking for inspiration for her Glastonbury look.

At the start of this year, Jade reflected on the Wonderwall singer's brutal jibes about her band Little Mix from four years ago and disclosed how her boyfriend, Rizzle Kicks' Jordan Stephens, chose to confront Noel in person over the comments, only to be met with a foul-mouthed tirade.

After Little Mix made history at The Brit Awards in May 2021, Noel felt obliged to voice his opinions on the Black Magic singers being the first all-female group to win the British Group award. The veteran rocker suggested that the award-winning girl band were "not in the same league as Oasis" and hinted their record-breaking victory indicated a problem within the music industry.
During an episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks the same year, Jade responded to the unsolicited criticism from the seasoned rocker with a hilarious retort. Speaking to Louis Theroux on his eponymous podcast, she delved deeper into her band's feud with the father-of-three.
"Well, we're very different bands, so I'll give him that respect," the Angel of My Dreams singer conceded to the documentary maker. "We're very, you know, we're a pop girl band. Yeah. I don't know why he was comparing us, actually."
Louis then speculated if Noel made the comment "for the clicks. " Jade playfully replied: "I think so," referring to Noel's love for confrontation. "I think he loves a little confrontation, doesn't he, that one.

She then quipped: "You can't really argue with that, do you know what I mean? And I also kind of, um, love that I've ended up in some sort of tiff with one of the Gallaghers. I feel like, it's the same as getting a hate tweet from Azalea Banks."
Jade then shared a story during Louis' Spotify podcast about an encounter her beau, Jordan, had with Noel at Glastonbury. Jade and the Rizzle Kicks frontman started their romance amid the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020.
Her recount of that event was: "I seen him [Noel] at Glastonbury that year, actually," and detailed that Jordan confronted Noel saying, "I'm going to go over and say something. I was like, alright then, give it a go. They went over, I was like, you are really rude about my girlfriend. Do you want to apologize? He went, f*ck off! And I thought, do you know what? Fair play."

Talking about the time back in 2021 when Jade addressed Noel's harsh words towards herself and her Little Mix bandmates Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, she had a sharp retort on Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Referring to the incident, she recounted, "Noel did [slag us off]" while sitting on the panel of the comedy show's revival.
Jade added insult to injury by recalling, "Something about that we were undeserving of the Brit Award because we're women and don't - well we do write music - but he thinks we don't write music. Well, we're very different bands, so I'll give him that to that respect."
"Yeah, shame really," the award-winning singer adds. "Because you know, we are definitely the most successful girl group in the country, but he's not even the most successful performer in his family!"

Oasis tour: What you need to know - and why Cardiff is the first stop

Oasis are set to kick off their reunion tour in Cardiff this weekend, with thousands expected to descend on the Welsh capital. The 41-date Oasis Live 25 tour begins in the city on Friday and Saturday, amid warnings for people to plan ahead before they travel. The Gallagher brothers' last performance together was in 2009, and the tour sold out within hours of its announcement last August, with fans eager to catch a glimpse of the reunion. But where is the tour heading - and why was Cardiff chosen as the city where the brothers will perform for the first time together in almost 16 years? When does the tour start and where is it heading? After Cardiff, Oasis will go on to perform at Manchester, London Edinburgh and Dublin on their UK and Ireland leg of the tour. See below for a full list of tour dates: Oasis tour dates Principality Stadium, Cardiff, Wales - Friday 4 July Principality Stadium, Cardiff, Wales - Saturday 5 July Heaton Park, Manchester, England - Friday 11 July Heaton Park, Manchester, England - Saturday 12 July Heaton Park, Manchester, England - Wednesday 16 July Heaton Park, Manchester, England - Saturday 19 July Heaton Park, Manchester, England - Sunday 20 July Wembley Stadium, London, England - Friday 25 July Wembley Stadium, London, England - Saturday 26 July Wembley Stadium, London, England - Wednesday 30 July Wembley Stadium, London, England - Saturday 2 August Wembley Stadium, London, England - Sunday 3 August Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, Scotland - Friday 8 August Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, Scotland - Saturday 9 August Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, Scotland - Tuesday 12 August Croke Park, Dublin, Ireland - Saturday 16 August Croke Park, Dublin, Ireland - Sunday 17 August Toronto, Canada - Sunday 24 August Toronto, Canada - Monday 25 August Chicago, USA - Thursday 28 August East Rutherford, USA - Sunday 31 August East Rutherford, USA - Monday 1 September Los Angeles, USA - Saturday 6 September Los Angeles, USA - Sunday 7 September Mexico City, Mexico - Friday 12 September Mexico City, Mexico - Saturday 13 September Wembley Stadium, London, England - Saturday 27 September Wembley Stadium, London, England - Sunday 28 September Seoul, South Korea - Tuesday 21 October Tokyo, Japan - Saturday 25 October Tokyo, Japan - Sunday 26 October Melbourne, Australia - Friday 31 October Melbourne, Australia - Saturday 1 November Melbourne, Australia - Tuesday 4 November Sydney, Australia - Friday 7 November Sydney, Australia - Saturday 8 November Buenos Aires, Argentina - Saturday 15 November Buenos Aires, Argentina - Sunday 16 November Santiago, Chile - Wednesday 19 November São Paulo, Brazil - Saturday 22 November São Paulo, Brazil - Sunday 23 November Why was Cardiff picked as the first stop? Asked on X in May why Cardiff was chosen as the location for the opening leg, Liam Gallagher said "because Cardiff is the bollox". Principality Stadium is a 74,500-seat venue, known as the home of Welsh rugby, which played host to Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift concerts last year. Businesses in the area are hoping the arrival of Oasis will bring an influx of trade to the city. Gary Corp, manager of the City Arms, told Sky News that he was expecting the concert would "treble if not quadruple the footfall on the street". Meanwhile, Ethan John, events manager at Tiny Rebel, said Oasis choosing Cardiff to kick off their tour was "surreal" and that previous events such as Taylor Swift's Eras Tour had a "massive impact" on footfall. What travel advice is there in Cardiff? Train operators say trains will be busy and people should allow plenty of time for their journey home. Georgie Wills, from Transport for Wales, said the company was "thrilled to welcome thousands to Cardiff this summer". "Look out for our queuing systems and travel tips - and let's make it a safe and smooth experience for everyone," she added. Cardiff Council has confirmed that roads around the stadium will close from 12pm until 12am on both Friday and Saturday. The road closures come into force three hours earlier than is planned for upcoming Stereophonics, Kendrick Lamar and Catfish and the Bottlemen concerts later this summer. The Cardiff Bus Interchange will close at 3pm and Cardiff Queen Street railway station will close at 10pm (apart from accessible travel or journeys to Cardiff Bay). What time does the show start and who are the support acts? Principality Stadium's doors open at 5pm on both Friday and Saturday. The band will be supported by indie rock band Cast and Richard Ashcroft (who formed alternative rock band the Verve) in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin. Cast start their Cardiff set at 6pm, followed by Richard Ashcroft at 7pm. Oasis will take to the stage at 8.15pm, and should finish by 10.30pm. American rock band Cage the Elephant will support Oasis in Canada, Mexico and at the Chicago gig. They will be joined again by Cast for the East Rutherford and Pasadena dates. Australian indie rock band Ball Park Music will support in Australia. Are tickets still available for the shows? The tour is sold out, but the band has said it is possible some additional tickets may be released. In an Instagram post on 25 June, the band advised members of Oasismynet to "keep an eye" on their inbox. The final releases would come "over the coming days" once production was "fine tuned", the band said. Cardiff is set to be cloudy with sunny intervals on Friday afternoon, with highs of 21C and lows of 15C.

Noel Gallagher's close pal Jo Whiley says she 'wouldn't be surprised' if Oasis have written new music ahead of reunion tour

Noel Gallagher 's close pal Jo Whiley has said she 'wouldn't be surprised' if he has written new music for the Oasis reunion tour. The Gallagher brothers are gearing up for their highly-anticipated reunion tour, with their first gig kicking off in Cardiff on Friday. But fans could possibly be in for a treat, Radio 2 DJ Jo has hinted, as she speculated as to whether Noel could have written new music for the tour. Speaking to The Mirror, Jo shared that she thinks Noel is 'very ambitious'and has always been committed to writing new music. 'I wouldn't be surprised if they've written something, if Noel has written something new, because I think he'd want to prove himself, he's very ambitious,' she said. 'He really wants to be respected. I'd love them to do new material that was really good.' Referencing new music from Pulp, Blur and Suede, Jo spoke about how many of Oasis's peers have come back into the music game. She went on to say that both Noel and Liam aren't 'ancient men' and are artists who are both driven to create. Brothers Noel and Liam will reunite on stage at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday - in their first gig in 15 years. The iconic Britpop band will perform stadium shows across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Japan, South Korea and North, Central and South America, where it will conclude with a show at São Paulo's Estádio do Morumbi on November 23. And on Monday, fans became convinced that the duo had already arrived in Wales to sound check at the stadium after people heard music coming from inside. It has also been revealed the brothers have enlisted new bandmates for the tour, with drummer Joey Waronker and guitarists Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs on board. A source told The Mirror: 'With a new lineup and it being such a huge first show, the boys will do some songs inside the venue too. 'Some tours would start with a smaller show or take a week or two to get into the groove again- but there is no time for that, and also Liam and Noel want every night to be massive. 'This is such a huge comeback show, and they are taking it very seriously, it all points to it being an incredible comeback tour.' Oasis crew members could be forgiven for looking back in anger on Sunday after Liam took a swipe at them on social media. Liam, 52, risked upsetting the tireless roadies responsible for organising Live '25 - the band's first tour since their 2009 implosion - by claiming even their families will be relieved to rid of them this summer. Taking to X, he quipped: 'Our crew members don't have friends and there wife's and husbands are glad to see the f**king backs of them and tell me n rkid everytime we see them they don't know how we put up with them on a daily basis let alone go around the f**king world with them fyi.' [sic] The singer appeared to be responding to claims that Oasis crew members have not been issued free tickets for friends and family members - widely considered to be a perk of the job. 'The crew will be travelling around the country with the band, setting up the venues, and will be on hand throughout the concerts in case they are needed,' one source told the Daily Mail's Katie Hind. 'They'll be away from their family and are usually given tickets to invite them down to join them at one of the shows. Liam risked upsetting the tireless roadies responsible for organising Live '25 - the band's first tour since their 2009 implosion - by claiming even their families will be relieved to rid of them 'But the Gallagher brothers have banned any free tickets being given out. The crew are all fuming. Many of them have toured with other big-name artists and have never known anything like it. 'All Oasis seem to care about is making as much money as they can. Is this about fans, or is the truth that it's all about the money?' The band recently confirmed a limited number of extra tickets will be released ahead of July. A statement posted to the band's official website on Wednesday read: 'As the shows are getting closer, Oasis promoters may be able to release a very limited number of additional tickets for sale once final sight lines are checked and the production is fine tuned. 'These final production releases will happen over the coming days.' Following their initial release, thousands of fans waited for hours in virtual queues to get their hands on highly coveted tickets for the band's reunion shows, only to find that prices had jumped in a 'dynamic pricing' scheme.

The producer Harry Styles was seen kissing at Glastonbury has been pictured for the first time since their steamy night together. Ella Kenny was spotted grabbing some lunch in central London on Wednesday, four days after kissing Harry in the early hours. The London-based producer dressed for the heat in a silvery vest and low-slung jeans with a beaded belly chain as she headed to a cafe for a coffee and bite to eat. She added tinted shades and silver flip flops to her ensemble, looking relaxed as she strolled back to work. Ella is a producer who has worked at a studio in London for around three years, producing 'crossplatform content' for businesses such as record companies and fashion brands. She has worked alongside Nia Archives, as well as produced music videos for artists such as Rachel Chinouriri, and Slow Thai, as well as Anne-Marie and Aitch's huge hit PSYCHO. On Monday, Ella took her Instagram page public to share her first photo from her time at the festival, looking on cloud nine as she posed in the sunshine with her pals in a reposted snap on her Stories. The Bournemouth University graduate put on a leggy display in a pair of tiny black short and a simple white button-up shirt as she wrapped an arm around friends Nia Archives and Jessica Skeete-Cross. Jessica is a stylist for ES Magazine, who has worked with big names like Maya Jama, Robert Pattison, Letitia Wright, Cara Delevingne and in an interesting twist - Harry's ex-girlfriend, Taylor Russell. She and Harry already knew each other prior to the festival, but it remains unknown if their passionate exchange was a one-off. Reportedly, the Watermelon Sugar star was in the VIP section with a group of pals when Ella arrived and kissed him on the cheek multiple times, before he led her to the dance floor where they shared their very public smooch. Speaking about the kiss to The Sun, a source said: 'Harry and Ella had fun together at Glastonbury and shared a kiss on the dancefloor. 'They had a good time in the moment but it doesn't mean it will evolve into anything. They just got on and had a snog. 'But she seems like a normal, down-to-earth girl which is different from some of the big stars he's dated before.' She added tinted shades and silver flip flops to her ensemble, looking relaxed as she strolled back to work A representative for Harry has been contacted by MailOnline for comment. Harry's last public snog was with supermodel Emily Ratajkowski when they were spotted snogging in Tokyo in 2023. The pair were seen dancing with each other in the Japanese capital as they stood alongside a silver people carrier while sheltering from the rain under an umbrella. They shared a number of kisses on the street outside, appearing not to care who saw them while in full view of onlookers.
