Is there a post-credit scene in Fantastic Four: First Steps?
Marvel is back in theaters this week as The Fantastic 4: First Steps joins the MCU for the first time. Led by Mr. Fantastic Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), the movie is set in the 60s as the super-powered crew battles nemeses like the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) and Galactus (Ralph Ineson). The movie is already "certified fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes with an 89% from critics, joining the recent run of superhero successes like Marvel's Thunderbolts* (88%) and the new James Gunn DCU Superman (84%). After a run of underwhelming comic book movie performances, audiences and critics are seemingly responding to this new-and-improved output from both studios. For those wondering whether or not they need to stick around after the action rolls in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the answer is a resounding yes. FYI! NO SPOILERS AHEAD! There are two post-credit scenes, with one in the mid-credits and one at the end. Much like the Fantastic Four-centered post-credit scene in Thunderbolts*, one of the bonus scenes in this movie was filmed by Joe and Anthony Russo. This makes sense as the brotherly director duo is at the helm for Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to release in December of 2026. The Fantastic 4: First Steps hits theaters nationwide on Friday.
