This child in picture had decided not to get married at the age of 18, is still a bachelor at age of 58, he is, not Salman Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Dino Morea
There's one Bollywood personality who, long before fame found him, made a quiet promise to himself—he wouldn't marry. At just 18, he decided to stay single, and that decision hasn't changed even at 58. While many may assume this is another tale about a superstar bachelor, it's not the name you expect, because he's not Salman Khan, Akshaye Khanna, or Dino Morea. Who is this actor? The actor we are talking about is Rahul Bose, who is best known for his versatility as an actor, director, former rugby player, and someone who has always walked his own path. Known for his offbeat choices in films and life, Rahul has always believed in personal freedom and has never felt the need to settle down in the traditional sense. How did Rahul Bose start his journey? Rahul Bose began his film career with *English, August* (1994), an indie film that gained critical praise. He followed this with acclaimed performances in Takshak, Mr. and Mrs. Iyer, Jhankaar Beats, Chameli and Shaurya, becoming known for his meaningful roles in parallel cinema. However, he never quite managed to break into the mainstream commercial space in a big way. Though widely respected in niche and festival circuits, many of his films didn't fare well at the box office. Movies like Everybody Says I'm Fine! (which he also directed) and Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam failed to impress audiences commercially, adding to a streak of underwhelming performance despite his acting talent. Rahul Bose' personal life When asked about marriage, Rahul has often stated that he doesn't feel pressured by societal norms. In several interviews, he's shared that relationships should be based on personal choice, not expectations. He's had romantic connections in the past, but none led to marriage—something he's completely at peace with. Rahul is deeply invested in humanitarian work and runs The Foundation, focusing on issues like child education and gender equality. His life revolves more around meaningful work and introspective living than glam and gossip. In terms of the work front, Rahul was last seen in Tamil war-drama Amaran, helmed by Rajkumar Periasamy, which featured Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles.

'Epic' sci-fi series returns to streaming — and four more shows to binge
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video After a two-year wait, Apple TV Plus' ambitious sci-fi drama Foundation returns for a third season today. Described as 'unbelievably epic' and 'riveting' by fans, the latest instalment has so far received a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, with top TV critics hailing it as 'magnificent' and 'stunning'. The Dune-esque science fiction show, loosely based on the book series of the same name by Isaac Asimov, first landed on the small screen in 2021 and returned for a second in July 2023. It follows The Foundation, a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it, embarking on a journey to save humanity and rebuild civilisation. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Season two ended with an explosive finale that saw a major character's death and a 152-year time jump. Now, The Foundation has become established far beyond its humble beginnings, while the Cleonic Dynasty's Empire has dwindled. But a threat to the entire galaxy appears in the form of a warlord known as The Mule, whose sights are set on ruling the universe through mind control. Metro TV editor Sabrina Barr reviewed Foundation when it first aired in September 2021, awarding the 'epic' sci-fi series four stars. 'There's a lot to unravel in Foundation, and the first two episodes – while utterly enthralling – may be quite confusing for some. 'If you don't mind scratching your head at every turn, Foundation is a fantastic watch in every respect, from the visuals to the score, the performances and the action. 'While there is a lot of information to absorb in the opening episodes, you get the feeling that throughout the 10-episode arc, everything will – hopefully – start to come together and make a lot more sense. 'No matter how perplexing some parts may be, we are definitely along for the complex and thrilling ride.' Read Sabrina's Foundation review in full. Season three of Foundation lands on Apple TV Plus today, July 11, followed by new episodes weekly every Friday until September 12. But it's not the only hit series coming back to streaming this month. TV fans of fantasy, romance and comedy alike are waiting for cliffhangers to be resolved as their favourite shows return — some of them for the final time. Netflix kept its cards close to its chest when it came to what to expect from The Sandman season two, but fans of the comics will have had an idea of what's in store. For the most part, critics have been impressed with the latest instalment, with Metro's own Tom Percival writing in his review: 'Season two is every bit as beguiling, bold and brilliant as the first, managing to somehow elevate the source material.' It begins just a few weeks after the events of the first season and sees Dream (Tom Sturridge) rebuilding his Kingdom — but it's not long before the past comes back to haunt him. There had been much speculation around the future of The Sandman after creator Neil Gaiman, who is also the writer of the original The Sandman comic books, was accused of sexual assault in July last year, allegations which he denies. It has since been confirmed that the second season of The Sandman will be its last. Showrunner Allan Heinberg said in a statement in January: 'The Sandman series has always been focused exclusively on Dream's story, and back in 2022, when we looked at the remaining Dream material from the comics, we knew we only had enough for one more season.' Where to watch: The Sandman Season 2 Volume One (episodes 1–6) landed on Netflix on July 3, followed by Volume 2 (episodes 7–11) on July 24. The will be a special bonus episode on July 31. Amazon Prime Video's smash hit series, based on Jenny Han's best-selling book trilogy, also returns in July for its third and final season. The coming-of-age drama follows Belly (Lola Tung), a teenage girl who finds herself in a love triangle with family friends and brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). Season one ended with Belly in a relationship with Conrad, but when things don't work out in season two, she finds happiness with Jeremiah. In season three, the trio are now on the brink of adulthood, and the trailer teases Belly and Jeremiah's engagement — but it's clear she can't stop thinking about Conrad. The time has come for Belly to confront her true feelings about the Fisher brothers, but who will she choose? Where to watch: The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 lands on Amazon Prime Video on July 16. Episodes will be released weekly until the finale on September 17. Set in a Mexican holiday resort in the 80s, Acapulco is a bingeable under-the-radar comedy that's first season boasts a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score. The show is inspired by the film How to Be a Latin Lover, with its star Eugenio Derbez playing the role of Máximo Gallardo, a man who came from humble beginnings but is now a wealthy Mexican businessman living a luxurious life in Malibu. For its fourth and final season, the synopsis reads: 'Present-day Máximo works tirelessly to restore Las Colinas to its former glory before the grand reopening. In 1986, when a competitor claims the number one spot in the annual ranking of Acapulco's Best Hotels, young Máximo (Enrique Arrizon) will do whatever it takes to get back on top and secure Las Colinas' future.' Where to watch: The first two episodes of Acapulco Season 4 land on Apple TV Plus on July 23, with new episodes weekly thereafter. This Netflix sports documentary gives viewers exclusive access to three NFL quarterbacks and their families. Season one culminated in the 2023 Super Bowl, which saw Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes celebrating his team's win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, season two follows Joe Burrow at the start of his fifth season with the Cincinnati Bengals and Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions, while Kirk Cousins, who left the Minnesota Vikings after a torn Achilles tendon in 2023, returns to Quarterback for the second time, now with the Atlanta Falcons. A synopsis reads: 'It documents intimate moments with their families, friends and trainers. It also reveals the many pressures involved: what it's like to take a hit from a 300-pound defensive lineman, to receive an entire stadium's cheers or boos, and to ask your loved ones to make serious sacrifices on your behalf. More Trending 'It's part football epic, part character study — and, depending on the week, part parenting manual.' From the wins and losses to injuries and family life, Quarterback unveils the pressures on the athletes who hold what is arguably the most demanding job in American football. Lee Pace Is a Ripped Messiah in FOUNDATION Season 3 Trailer
The haunting new trailer for season three of Apple TV's adaptation of Isaac Asimov's series Foundation makes three things clear. The first two is that the Mule is coming for the entire universe and there's only one person who can stop him. The third is that regardless of how deadly and tragic things get this year, every episode of this season is going to result in thirsty memes about Lee Pace looking like a ripped messiah. The fate of the universe hangs in the balance in this latest look at Foundation. The trailer for Foundation season three makes it clear that a new threat is coming. It will cause former foes to unite so mankind can hope to avoid a reign of darkness. Why does Game of Thrones' alum Pilou Asbæk's Mule pose such a danger? To go along with the new Foundation trailer, here's the official season three synopsis from Apple: Set 152 years after the events of season two, The Foundation has become increasingly established far beyond its humble beginnings while the Cleonic Dynasty's Empire has dwindled. As both of these galactic powers forge an uneasy alliance, a threat to the entire galaxy appears in the fearsome form of a warlord known as 'The Mule' whose sights are set on ruling the universe by use of physical and military force, as well as mind control. It's anyone's guess who will win, who will lose, who will live and who will die as Hari Seldon, Gaal Dornick, the Cleons and Demerzel play a potentially deadly game of intergalactic chess. Season three will feature plenty of new faces joining returning stars Pace, Jared Harris, and Lou Llobell. Cherry Jones, Brandon P. Bell, Synnøve Karlsen, Cody Fern, Tómas Lemarquis, Alexander Siddig, and Oscar-winner Troy Kotsur are getting in on the intergalactic fun/mayhem. We see many of them in action in the Foundation season three trailer above. RELATED ARTICLE FOUNDATION Shares Season 3 Trailer, First Images, and Summer Release Date As for lead Lee Pace's appearance this season, well, there are a lot of comments we could make about it. This Foundation season three trailer is not stingy with its hot messiah visuals. For example, we might say, he probably turns water into protein shakes at his CrossFit gym. Or talk about how he's going to convert some viewers into following a new religion based entirely on his beard and bod. And how prayers at his church will instead with, 'A-Man!' instead. We could go on. But we bet the internet will take care of that for us soon enough. Foundation's ten-episode third season debuts at Apple TV on Friday, July 11, 2025.

Northern Irish firms secure valuable contracts in US and Canada
A HOST of Northern Irish businesses have secured valuable contracts in the US and Canada. The firms were part of a trade mission with Invest NI which took them to Chicago and Toronto. Four of the businesses who took part in the mission in September 2024 have since agreed lucrative deals with organisations they met during their visit. The Foundation creative agency is among the firms who have secured lucrative contracts following the trade mission Belfast-based firms The Foundation and The Creative Media Company have collectively secured contracts worth over £200,000 through connections made on the trip. Elsewhere Seedling and Jo Hopkins Consulting have both signed new distribution agreements, expanding their reach in North America. 'I congratulate these four companies on their latest export success,' Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald said this week. 'Their ability to compete on the global stage is testament to their ambition, hard work, and talent,' she added. 'Companies like this will help us build an innovative, high-value economy that delivers Good Jobs.' Currently, Northern Ireland remains the only region across the UK to see export growth. The latest statistics from HMRC show that while exports from Britain fell by five per cent over 2023-4, exports from the North rose by 1.1 per cent to £11.09 b in the same timeframe. 'Over the last four years the North has consistently increased its exports, while regions in Britain saw exports fall,' Minister Archibald said. 'The innovation and commitment of our companies, our dual market access, and the effectiveness of Invest NI, have provided a strong basis for export success,' she added. 'Those strengths will remain despite the more challenging global economic context created by US tariffs.' See More: Business, Canada, Invest NI, Northern Ireland, US
