'Fallout' joins Universal Halloween Horror Nights 2025: See HHN prices, dates, details
'Fallout' joins Universal Halloween Horror Nights 2025: See HHN prices, dates, details Show Caption Hide Caption Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights tips for scaredy cats You don't have to like haunted houses to have fun at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 2025 is shaping up to be one for the gamers. Just days after revealing that "Five Nights at Freddy's" is coming to this year's after-hours event on both coasts, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort announced, 'For the first time ever, horror fans will step into the post-apocalyptic wasteland of Prime Video's 'Fallout.'" Like "Five Nights at Freddy's" and 2023's The Last of Us house, "Fallout" began as a popular video game franchise. Thursday's house announcement comes on the same day as HHN tickets going on sale for both Orlando and Hollywood. Here's everything we know so far about this year's Halloween Horror Nights. Universal's first 'Fallout' house This new house, like its namesake show and Bethesda Game Studios video game franchise before it, is set centuries after a devastating nuclear war ravages the landscape, mutates creatures and forces humans to live in underground vaults. 'The journey begins beneath the surface in Vault 33, where guests follow vault-dweller Lucy MacLean as she escapes a bloody massacre, only to discover an evil hidden secret,' according to Universal. 'From there, visitors venture to the surface, where they must dodge attacks from Scavengers and Raiders, desperate survivors who will do anything to remain alive, as well as mutated cockroaches known as RAD Roaches.' As fans travel through a three-dimensional Wasteland, they will meet familiar "Fallout" settings like Super Duper Mart, 'The Ghoul, an ageless bounty hunter who has endured radiation exposure for centuries,' and a squire named Maximus equipped with T-60 armor. 'Five Nights at Freddies' surprises It's not yet clear what Universal has planned for 'Five Nights at Freddies," only sharing that it's "coming in a whole new way' with 'more details coming soon.' First a video game and book series, then a 2023 Blumhouse and Universal Pictures film with a sequel due to premiere this December, "Five Nights at Freddy's" follows animatronics from an abandoned children's pizza restaurant that come to life and kill. Universal has featured several Blumhouse films in Halloween Horror Nights experiences in recent years. Start date of Halloween Horror Nights This year's Halloween Horror Nights will start a day earlier than last year, on both coasts. Orlando's event will be held on 48 nights: Aug. 29-31 Sept. 3-7, 10-14, 16, 17, 19-21, 24-28 Oct. 1-5, 8-12, 15-19, 22-26, 29-31 Nov. 1, 2 Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights will begin Sept. 4: Sept. 4-7, 11-14, 18-21, 25-28 Oct. 2-5, 8-12, 15-19, 22-26, 29-31 Nov. 1, 2 How much does it cost to go to Halloween Horror Nights? In a break from recent years, neither event is raising its starting ticket price this year. Single-night HHN tickets start at $82.99 for Orlando and $77 for Hollywood, the same as last year. Multi-night passes are also available. Halloween Horror Nights is a separately ticketed event that is not included with standard park admission. What does Halloween Horror Nights consist of? Halloween Horror Nights is best known for its immersive themed houses and open-air scare zones. Each year, a few themes span both coasts, though they may be executed differently. Last year's shared themes were A Quiet Place, Insidious: The Further, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines. Remaining house and scare-zone themes are location-specific. Orlando usually has more houses – 10 this year – and leans into more original content, while Hollywood tends to embrace more intellectual property. Hollywood is also the only place guests can experience the Terror Tram, an HHN-specific twist on the World-Famous Studio Tour. Both events offer live entertainment, themed food, and access to select park attractions with generally shorter wait times than during the day How scary is Universal Halloween Horror Nights? Scary is subjective. Some guests aren't phased at all. Others can barely stand to open their eyes. Most guests are somewhere in between, enjoying a good scare in a safe space. Don't you dare look scared: How to survive Universal's Halloween Horror Nights Can the actors touch you at Halloween Horror Nights? They're not supposed to touch you. They may accidentally brush against you in a crowded scare zone, but they won't reach out and touch you on purpose. By the same token, guests should never touch scareactors, which is what Universal calls HHN actors. What can you not wear to Halloween Horror Nights? Guests are not allowed to wear costumes or costume masks at Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights. Universal Studios Hollywood has its own costume policy but also bans costume masks. Does HHN have an age limit? No, but the event's webpage says it 'may be too intense for young children and is not recommended for children under the age of 13.' ‘Fallout' season 2 gets major update — here's what that could mean for the release window
We're inching closer to our next trip through the irradiated ruins of the Wasteland, and yes, all signs point to New Vegas. Ella Purnell just dropped a nuke of an update on Instagram: 'Fallout' season 2 has officially wrapped filming. She shared a behind-the-scenes photo alongside her on-screen dad, Kyle MacLachlan, confirming that production has powered down after months of shooting that kicked off back in November 2024. With cameras now off and post-production firing up, the countdown to season 2 on Prime Video debut has officially begun. A post shared by Ella Purnell (@ella_purnell) A photo posted by on You're probably eager to know when new episodes might drop. Of course, we don't have a date right now, but we can make an educated guess based on the timeline. If season 2 follows a post-production timeline similar to the first (filming finished in March 2023 and the show released in April 2024), we might see these characters return to our screens in just over a year — potentially setting up a premiere sometime in late spring 2026. Keep in mind this is just speculation. With season 2 expected to dive into the expansive and iconic setting of New Vegas, the scale of production could be even more ambitious this time around. A larger world, more elaborate sets, and heightened visual effects might all be on the table, which means post-production could take longer than it did for season 1. So we could get a later release window. In the meantime, if you're itching for a little behind-the-scenes fix, check out this Instagram video of Walton Goggins ripping off his ghoul prosthetics in celebration of season 2 wrapping filming. It's oddly satisfying? 'Fallout' season 2 is set to focus heavily on both Lucy (Ella Purnell) and Hank (Kyle MacLachlan), following the intense showdown at the Griffith Observatory that closed out season 1. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. The finale finally united the show's three main characters — Lucy, Maximus of the Brotherhood of Steel (Aaron Moten), and the mysterious Ghoul (Walton Goggins) — as they tracked down Moldaver (Sarita Choudhury) and the critical cold fusion tech. But just as Lucy thought she was saving her father, she's hit with a series of devastating revelations about who Hank truly is and the atrocities he's committed. When he's confronted, Hank escapes in a suit of power armor, seemingly heading for New Vegas. Now, Lucy and The Ghoul are on his trail, determined to uncover long-buried truths and confront whoever is truly pulling the strings. Purnell and Goggins shared updates about what to expect in season 2. When speaking at the MegaCon Orlando panel (h/t Screen Rant), Purnell said: 'It's going to be really good, I think. It's a wild ride. No one's going to be able to predict what happens. There's some big twists this time around.' Meanwhile, Goggins told Deadline: '[Season 2] blows it out of the water, what these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story. It's really gonna be something. I can't wait for people to see it. We're working really hard to make that happen.' On Kinda Funny Gamescast, game director Todd Howard assured fans that 'Fallout' season 2 will respect the open-ended nature of New Vegas. While it's tricky to canonize a game with multiple endings, the showrunners aim to avoid contradicting player experiences. Howard emphasized preserving the game's legacy without declaring a single outcome, keeping the spirit of player choice intact. And of course, season 2 will feature the iconic Deathclaws, considering we saw the skeleton of one at the end of season 1, and the set photos offer some pretty solid evidence. As much as I'm excited to see more terrifying creatures in action, what I'm really eager for is the arrival of the weirder, wilder factions. Season 1 did an impressive job laying the groundwork like establishing the main characters and setting the tone, but it only scratched the surface when it came to the Wasteland's various groups. With season 2 heading into New Vegas territory, we're likely in for a much deeper dive into the region's big players. We already got glimpses of the New California Republic and the Brotherhood of Steel, but now there's a real chance we'll encounter factions like Caesar's Legion, the Great Khans, and maybe even the eerie White Glove Society — or at the very least, hints that they're lurking nearby. We have a while to wait until 'Fallout' season 2 graces our screens. And it'll be a few months until we even get a teaser trailer. But for now, watch the best shows like 'Fallout' to fill the void or stream season 1 again on Prime Video.

Walton Goggins' ‘Heartthrob Status Grew' While Filming The White Lotus, And His Co-Star Shared Her A+ Take On Watching The Fallout Highlight Happen
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Remember last year when Fallout came out? Walton Goggins had the internet blowing up over a 'homeless radioactive cowboy with no nose' for the video game adaptation. Not even a year later, the actor is in one of the biggest shows on the 2025 TV schedule as the mysterious Rick Hatchett in White Lotus Season 3. When his White Lotus girlfriend Aimee Lou Wood was asked about his "heartthrob status,' she had an interesting perspective on working with him as Fallout was rolling out. Aimee Lou Wood is just as much of a standout as Walton Goggins is on The White Lotus, as Rick's partner Chelsea. While she's just trying to have a fun vacation in Thailand with her man, there's clearly something dark and sinister ahead for Rick. Here's what Wood told Decider about working with the actor last year at the same time Fallout became a global hit on Amazon Prime: I actually feel like Walton's heartthrob status grew. I think he was already a heartthrob, of course he is, and I thought he was already. But when Fallout came out and The Ghoul did weird things to people it got bigger. So whilst we were filming the heartthrob thing became more and more of a thing. The White Lotus cast were shooting Season 3 for seven months between February and August. (As the cast told CinemaBlend, they spent most of their time at the very fancy Four Seasons resort alongside each other where they filmed.) As you may recall, Fallout premiered for those with an Amazon Prime subscription on April 10 of last year. This meant that the cast got to be around as Walton Goggins was becoming even more famous for his role as The Ghoul on the series – which included a lot of thirsty fans. Wood also said this: But yeah, I was saying, he had to be Rick to me. He couldn't be Walton Goggins, because if he was Walton Goggins I'd be sat there going 'I'm acting with Walton Goggins, and I'm freaking out.' So he was just Rick. Aimee Lou Wood is having her own moment of gaining viral popularity right now, after getting to share tons of scenes with Walton Goggins in The White Lotus. Knowing how popular and loved the actor is, the actress could have let intimidation get to her, but she decided she needed to treat him like his character rather than let herself 'freak' out. Though, we'd think she would have been a lot more intimidated if she was working alongside The Ghoul, requiring the actor in hours of prosthetics – which at first took five hours before the makeup team got the process down to two hours. When the actor shot the role, he had told Variety it was 'fucking hot' and it'd be 'exhausting' at the end every day. Of course, we've heard Thailand was also steamy. That, or Walton Goggins officially heats up any room he's in. You can catch the latest episode of The White Lotus on HBO and with a Max subscription this Sunday.
