Jennifer Aniston reveals new career wish

Jennifer Aniston wants to star in a Broadway play. The 52-year-old actress has been one of the most famous faces in Hollywood for decades and revealed that her next career goal is to tread the boards on The Great White Way but she would need to find the "right piece" before she committed to it. She told PEOPLE: "I definitely want to do a Broadway play, That's on my bucket list but it's finding the time and finding the right piece, the right material. "But I absolutely have to do a play on Broadway." The Marley and Me star shot to fame in the late 1990s when she was cast as Rachel Green in Friends, and if she does make it to Broadway, she will become the second cast member to do so following David Schwimmer's 2006 appearance in the play The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial. Other A-Listers to have starred on Broadway in more recent times include the likes of George Clooney - who was recently nominated for a Tony for his role in Good Night and Good Luck, whilst Succession star Sarah Snook was named Best Actress for The Picture of Dorian Gray. Meanwhile, Jennifer - who starred in various Off-Broadway productions before she found global fame - recently admitted that it is only in more recent years that she has learned to "love" her body. She told Allure: "We've got to love our bodies. It's doing the best it can. It's been with us since the day we started, so we can't be too hard on it. "Of course, we're all going to grow older, but how can we thrive as we grow older? And that is about giving your body the attention that it deserves." "For me personally, I loved my 30s, but my 20s were nothing. I was a nightmare. "I didn't understand working out until my 30s and 40s."

Glee's Darren Criss says he finds it 'easier' to star on Broadway than be a parent of two toddlers

Darren Criss finds it "easier" to star on Broadway than be a parent. The 38-year-old actor has daughter Bluesy Bell - who turned three in mid-April - and son Brother László, 10 months, with wife Mia Swier and admitted that currently starring in 'Maybe Happy Ending' on The Great White Way several times a week is far less "ballistic and uncontrolled" than bringing up two toddlers. Speaking on Variety's 'Actors on Actors' series, he said: "I have two kids under three. If I'm putting the jokes aside, it's the most beautiful arrangement because to have a schedule and be with my children all day is nice. "I have to say, the show is the easiest part of my day, as a parent with two under three." 'The life of little ones is ballistic and uncontrolled. "By the time you go to a show that's under two hours, it's sweet and measured. I don't envy our colleagues who are retching their souls out for three hours, eight times a week." The former 'Glee' star previously noted that it had been a "blessing" to have everything in his professional life and his personal life fall into place at once and joked that he "thrived on the chaos" that brought the two together. He told People: "It's a blessing to get all these things happening kind of all at once — personal, home stuff happening among the same fun, prosperity and excitement that is existing in my professional life — there's something that's very invigorating about that. "So I'm rockin' and rollin'. Chaos begets chaos. And I, for better or worse, tend to thrive on a bit of chaos." Despite his success, Darren previously admitted that he still got "nervous" before every performance. He told UsWeekly; "I think someone told me once that being nervous means you care. So that's always good. I'm nervous, but not for the reasons you would think. It's for the desire to really nail things. "Performers tend to make these arbitrary goalposts that you have to hit in order to feel good about a performance, but it's a complete delusion. Those aren't real. You know, every show, as long as you can hit 75 percent of the things you want to hit, usually that's gonna be 100 percent of an experience for the audience."

George Clooney reveals why wife Amal did not attend Broadway opening night

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Amal Clooney did not attend George Clooney's opening night on Broadway so she could look after their children. The 63-yearold actor - who has been married to Amal, 47, since 2014 and has seven-year-old twins Ella and Alexander with her - made his debut on The Great White Way in a production of 'Good Night, and Good Luck' on Thursday evening but while a host of celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Cindy Crawford and Uma Thurman were in the audience, Amal was not. According to People, George told reporters: 'She's with the kids.' The 'Ticket to Paradise' actor previously noted that the schedule of a play meant that he still got to see his children for part of the day. Speaking on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert', he explained: 'Actually, a play is kind of a good schedule because you're working at night. 'You get to see the kids during the day, so it's okay.' The former 'ER' star previously explained that he was 'honoured' to be taking on the role at the Shubert Theater as he tried something new in his career. He said in a statement: 'I am honoured, after all these years, to be coming back to the stage and especially, to Broadway, the art form and the venue that every actor aspires to.' He plays journalist Edward R. Murrow, who was originally played by David Strathairn in the 2005 film, while Clooney actually played his collaborator Fred W. Friendly. He penned the journalism drama with Grans Heslov, and the pair will once again collaborate on the Broadway adaptation, although David Cromer is stepping into direct instead of the Hollywood star. Cromer added: 'Edward R. Murrow operated from a kind of moral clarity that feels vanishingly rare in today's media landscape. There was an immediacy in those early live television broadcasts that today can only be effectively captured on stage, in front of a live audience.' The historical drama focuses on 1950s television news in the United States, and the conflict between broadcaster Murrow, and Senator Joseph McCarthy. Clooney is following in the footsteps of Steve Carell and Rachel McAdams, who made their own Broadway debuts last year following decades of Hollywood.
