She interacted with on-duty police personnel, explored the helpline's round-the-clock operations, and praised its success in aiding women facing abuse or violence. 'I was truly fascinated by the 1090 initiative,' Pilgaonkar said, noting how the call centre connects women directly to help. 'It was inspiring to see such a well-organised system and to learn each step of the process — from the moment a call is received to how cases are followed up.' Our system is technically robust but we are aiming to continually upgrade our systems to better serve women in need.
