Mail deliveries stopped as postman taken to hospital after dog attack
Royal Mail said it 'takes dog attacks extremely seriously' while police have launched an investigation

Mail deliveries have been halted in a part of Wales due to a postman being taken to hospital after being attacked by a dog. The incident happened on Wednesday, August 13, in Ceredigion.
The postman was working in an area served by the Llandysul Royal Mail Delivery Office situated in the nearby hamlet of Horeb. The postman was taken to hospital following the attack although no information has been confirmed regarding the nature or seriousness of his injuries.
The address where the incident occurred has not been disclosed but Royal Mail has confirmed it has suspended deliveries to 'relevant addresses' in the area following the incident.

A spokeswoman for Royal Mail said: 'Deliveries have been suspended to relevant addresses while we carry out further inquiries.

"This is a temporary measure.
"We take dog attacks extremely seriously and will take all necessary steps to ensure the safety of our colleagues.'
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: 'We received a report that a man had been bitten by a dog in Llandysul on Wednesday, August 13.
