More info Bradley Walsh brought The Chase to an unexpected standstill when Jenny Ryan's revelation left him utterly gobsmacked. In Thursday's episode of the hit ITV quiz show, Bradley greeted contestants Mark, Izzie, James and Annie as they faced off against The Vixen. Solihull's mature student Mark bagged £7,000 in his cash builder and was the first to make it to the final chase after a face-off with Jenny. Following on was Izzie, who also put up a strong show with £5,000. She, like Mark, opted for the middle offer. During their head-to-head, they were quizzed: "What is the subject of the 2020 Netflix documentary series High Score?" Both Izzie and Jenny nailed it with "video games", prompting Bradley to probe: "What's the highest score you've ever got on a video game?" The Vixen wasn't sure but concurred with Bradley that it was likely quite high. "You can get ridiculously high scores on the kind of games I play, like Lego Avengers." (Image: ITV) Just as Jenny began to divulge a score she'd racked up, Bradley interjected. "Hold the line," he declared, probing: "Did you just say Lego adventures?" Once Jenny set the record straight about the game, Bradley couldn't resist a cheeky dig at his colleague. "What about the ones adults play?" he quipped, eliciting chuckles from Jenny. "What about things like Minecraft and Fortnight? Aren't they adult ones?" The Vixen clapped back: "All games are adult and potentially child-friendly games." The round went on, but soon enough Izzie was eliminated after being caught by Jenny. Secondary school teacher James managed to secure £4,000 in his initial round before bravely taking the higher offer of £40,000. (Image: ITV) Despite a valiant effort, James ultimately got caught by the chaser. The last contestant, Annie, aimed to win some cash to replace an engagement ring she'd lost over 45 years ago, which her partner had given her. She garnered a commendable £8,000 in her cash builder and fortunately for Mark, made it through to the final chase. In the final, Mark and Annie played for £15,000, ending with a total of 13 points. Jenny experienced a rocky start in the final chase, only answering three questions correctly within the first 55 seconds. Nonetheless, The Vixen managed to turn things around, catching the pair with merely three seconds to spare. At the close of the game, Jenny remarked: "I have astonished myself that I managed to catch you as you saw I struggled to build a rhythm." The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1.

Alongside his fellow contestants Sinclair, Ore, and Katherine, they formed a formidable team ready to take on one of Britain's top quiz brains. Katherine stepped up first, earning a cool £3,000 in her Cash Builder round before facing a nail-biting head-to-head with Jenny, where she shone and added the initial £3,000 to their prize fund. After Katherine's success, Ore continued the winning streak with an impressive £5,000 Cash Builder and secured a spot in the final, boosting the team's pot to £8,000. However, Sinclair's turn quickly became the hot topic among viewers when he notched up £4,000 and then went up against The Vixen. One viewer took to Twitter, commenting: "Jenny don't tie yourself in knots overexplaining." Meanwhile, another chimed in: "Vixen hush. You didn't know that Abraham Lincoln question and that's ok." After Sinclair's triumph over The Vixen on The Chase, he secured his place in the final chase, joining forces with his fellow contestants. Audiences were taken aback by his brazen attitude following his win. Post-triumph, Sinclair directed a jest at The Chaser, quipping: "She didn't like that did she?" to which The Vixen replied, somewhat lost for words, "I don't know what to say." The Vixen then expressed her frustration saying: "He slipped through my fingers there. I'm annoyed about that but you know what I'm still going to beat them, especially after all that shenanigans." Bradley picked up on the tension, remarking: "There's a bit of taunting going on here." This prompted the viewers to react on social media to the player's antics. (Image: ITV) Tweets came flooding in, with one saying: "OMG just saw what Sinclair did to the Vixen and had to get on here." Another added: "Giving her shade yes! !" A third social media user criticised: "Too cocky for my liking." Sinclair bolstered the prize fund to £12,000 before Cammy stepped up to face The Vixen. In the final chase, Sinclair, Katherine and Ore managed a score of ten, which unfortunately wasn't enough to beat The Chaser. The Vixen showcased her impressive general knowledge skills, finishing with one minute and thirty seconds still on the clock.

They accused show bosses of putting difficult questions to the contestants, but "ridiculously easy" ones to the Chaser. The players were asked questions such as, "What is the most popular city in Algeria?" and "Pat Rafter Arena is a Brisbane stadium court for what sport?" While The Vixen received questions such as, "In which century was 1812?" and "What UK airport is known as NCL?"
