Victoria Monét Opens Up About Dating Rapper Stormzy: 'He's a Really Special Guy'

Host Keke Palmer brought up the topic and recalled a recent conversation with Stormzy about Monét: "I was hanging out with him at the Met Gala, and I said, 'You know my girl, Victoria.' He's like, 'Yeah, you know, she's amazing.'' While the Grammy winner seemed a bit caught off-guard, she spoke about the English-Ghanaian rapper, whose real name is Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr., nonetheless. "Yeah, he's a really special guy," said Monét. "I have so much respect for him, and I got to learn more about him by dating him." She then paused, looked at Palmer and said, "We'll have to talk." In photos shared exclusively by The Sun in October 2024, Monét and Stormzy were spotted embracing and kissing at Heathrow Airport. The moment came less than a month after Monét shared news of her split from Gaines, with whom she shares 3-year-old daughter Hazel, as well as three months after Stormzy announced his own split from TV host Maya Jama. Monét and Gaines announced their breakup in a joint statement shared to social media on Sept. 23, and revealed that the actual date of their separation was 10 months beforehand. Elsewhere during the Baby, This Is Keke Palmer interview, Monét spoke about how co-parenting with Gaines post-breakup is "not ideal" but explained how they make it work. "I feel like I'm super blessed to have a partner who understands, also, that Hazel will eventually be able to see things, and he was able to compose himself, and so was I," she said. The "Alright" artist continued, "Any of the messy parts happened face to face, and we're able to now easily co-parent. He's super communicative. He has a great head on his shoulders. Some of our favorite actors, singers and superstars are part of a very special group of Disney fans - called Disney adults. A Disney adult is not just an adult who loves Disney, its someone who often visits Disney Parks and also incorporates some Disney magic into their life. With Disneyland less than an hour away from Hollywood, its no wonder so many famous faces have been spotted at the Happiest Place on Earth. Stars like Ryan Gosling have proudly called themselves a Disney adult and visit the them park often - even taking now-wife Eva Mendes there for a date early in their romance. Kourtney Kardashian is a proud Disney adult, as is John Stamos - who previously said when he goes through the front gates of the Anaheim, California theme park, the rest of the world goes away. has rounded up the biggest Disney fans - aka Disney adults - in Hollywood... John Stamos John Stamos, 61, and wife Caitlin McHugh, 38, are huge Disney fans, so much so that John actually proposed to her at Disneyland in 2017, asking her to be his wife in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle inside the Park. The star proposed after showing her a montage of romantic scenes from Disney films. He reflected on his proposal in a cover story for People in 2017: 'She loves Disneyland and I thought, Okay Disney [at the park] I got on my knee and asked her. I pulled the ring out. I don't know how she did it, but she went to hug me and slipped her finger right in it. When the park closed we ran around the park in our Disney onesies.' To all Mickey and Minnie fans - I hope you love wearing them as much as I do,' she said via Disney. The runway star designed a villains collection with Disney the following year. She told E! at the time: 'I have always loved the Disney villains. The characters are so iconic, and they all have these mysterious personalities that bring our favorite Disney stories to life. Rocky's birthday party included two birthday cakes - including one large one with a Mickey Mouse silhouette and a smaller one with featuring coconut flakes. There was a variety of sweet treats in addition to the two cakes - as seen in the window - revealing they had Mickey shaped candy apples and ice cream sandwiches at the dessert table. Keke Palmer Is Facing Criticism For Having Jonathan Majors On Her Podcast
Warning: Discussion of domestic violence. Keke Palmer is facing criticism for interviewing Jonathan Majors on her podcast Baby, This Is Keke Palmer. In 2023, Jonathan was found guilty of one count of assault and one count of harassment against his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. The ex-Marvel actor pled not guilty and subsequently said in an interview that he was responsible for "none of her injuries." He has been back in the public eye in recent weeks amid the release of his movie Magazine Dreams, even starring on the cover of the Hollywood Reporter. In the accompanying interview, he said of his time during and after the trial, "It's a heartbreak like I've never experienced and it just compounded and compounded." Matthew McConaughey, Michael B. Jordan, and Whoopi Goldberg all further voiced their support. Shortly after the cover dropped, audio leaked that allegedly revealed Jonathan admitting to strangling Grace. "I can't speak to it, but obviously, because you're talking about it, there are vibrations, reverberations, same as everything before," Jonathan said in response. "I'm living life. I'm surrounded by loved ones and family." And now, Jonathan will add Keke to his list of new interviewers. The episode, which is available now to Wondery+ users and will be released to the public on April 8, is titled, "No Easy Answers: Accountability and Moving Forward with Jonathan Majors." The episode description reads, "Accountability. It's a loaded word, right? We're living in a time where we want real accountability—especially for things men have gotten away with for far too long. But some did suggest that Keke might use the opportunity to thoroughly question Jonathan: A clip further resurfaced of her talking about R Kelly in 2016, where she said, "Stop with the grooming. I don't know this side of Kells. The side of Kells I know is a musical genius." The singer has since been convicted of child sex crimes. Keke herself has said that she experienced domestic violence during her relationship with the father of her son, Darius Jackson (he has denied the allegations).
