Tesco Clubcard changes for customers with new deals on offer
The supermarket scheme has launched new deal giving three months of entry to some of the UK's top attractions including Alton Towers and Thorpe Park, plus new cinema offers. While you can no longer triple up points - this ended a while ago - you can double up the value of your vouchers by spending them at Tesco's Reward Partners, such as Zizzi, Thorpe Park and easyJet Holidays. For example, 100 points are usually worth £1 to spend at Tesco – but if you exchange your vouchers for codes to use with a Reward Partner, 100 points are worth £2. For £60 in Tesco Clubcard Vouchers members can now get a three months pass with Merlin Entertainments, with entry to Alton Towers Resort, the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, Chessington World of Adventures Resort, Thorpe Park, Cadbury World, SEA LIFE Aquariums and others across the UK. There's also a deal running this week, until Sunday June 8, where Tesco Clubcard members can pick up tickets for the latest movies at Cineworld for £4 – which means exchanging only £2 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers at double their value for each ticket. Up to four tickets can be purchased at the discounted rate with each booking, meaning that Clubcard holders can treat family or friends to the movies by using £8 worth of Tesco Clubcard Vouchers. Cineworld is also offering a special £6 medium drink and popcorn deal, or for £1 extra customers can upgrade that to large. Tesco Group Membership and Loyalty Director, Shama Wilson said: 'This is a big year for Tesco Clubcard as we mark 30 years of rewards for our Clubcard members. 'In 1995, the year Clubcard launched, some of the biggest movies included Toy Story, Batman Forever and GoldenEye, and thanks to this amazing deal with our Reward Partner Cineworld, Clubcard members can buy a ticket to watch some of today's biggest movies with just £2 worth of Clubcard Vouchers.' To take up the deals, go to the Clubcard Rewards section of the Tesco app or Clubcard website and buy through the link - the Merlin pass details are here and the cinema ones are here. To get the drink and popcorn deal, customers will need to show their Clubcard when buying refreshments at the cinema. How to check your Clubcard vouchers – and find ones you've lost Tesco Clubcard vouchers are valid for two years from the date they were issued. If you're unsure when yours expire or you've lost your paper vouchers, check on the Tesco Clubcard site or app - select 'Clubcard account' and then 'Vouchers'. You'll need your Clubcard number, which is printed on Clubcards and Clubcard key fobs. Martin Lewis has a trick to extend Clubcard vouchers' lifespan On his Money Saving Expert website, it says: "If your Clubcard vouchers are due to expire and you don't want to use them yet, you may be able to extend the expiry date by another two years. "Technically, under the Clubcard T&Cs, Tesco can refuse a Reward Partner order if it decides you're trying to game the system by redeeming vouchers just to extend their validity – but we tested the trick at Towers this month and it worked just fine." Recommended reading: It adds, buy something cheap on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards page or donate to one of its partner charities. The remaining balance is credited back to your Clubcard account as points. So if you spend 50p using a £10 Clubcard voucher, you'll get 950 points back (worth £9.50), and get the 50p item - or donate it. "You can then swap your points for vouchers manually or wait for them to be converted with your next statement," says the site. "The expiry date for these new vouchers will be two years in the future. "There's no minimum spend, but the aim's to shell out as little as possible. A good option might be a 50p restaurant voucher (worth £1 at your chosen restaurant). You'll need to do this for each individual voucher, so it's worth weighing up if it's actually worth it for smaller denominations. For example, if you've a £10 voucher it could be worth it. If you've got a handful of £1 vouchers, maybe less so."

I've saved £350 on days out and holidays in the first three months of Sun Club – here's how you can do the same
THERE are huge savings to be had on days out and holidays if Sun Club members use their perks wisely - here's what you need to know to make membership work for you. I signed up to Sun Club for just £12 for the year in mid-February and have already saved almost £350 in the first three months. 7 7 I claimed free theme park tickets, booked a bargain caravan break and bagged a pair of darts tickets. And I haven't even used all the incredible offers yet, as there's more Superdays at the likes of SEA LIFE, Warwick Castle, the London Eye and Cadbury World to come. I reckon I'm on track to save more than £1,000 over my first year. Sun Superdays I've been using Sun Superdays for theme parks tickets like Alton T owers Resort for years and I actually think the current offer under Sun Club is better than anything I've seen before. There are no booking fees and lots of free dates in the school holidays and at weekends, which have been a struggle to get in the past. We've already had a great day out at Alton Towers Resort on a school inset day, which would have cost £58 for two people if I'd booked online in advance instead of using my free tickets. I've also booked Chessington World of Adventures and Thorpe Park during the summer holidays, which both would have been more than £65 for two tickets without the Sun Club offer. My top tip for is to get online on the day that booking opens for each offer with a few dates that you can do, in case your first choice is already taken. Sometimes you can get to the front of the virtual queue quickly and book your tickets straight away, giving you the pick of the dates. Other times, you'll need to wait a while as there are lots of people all trying to make the most of the offer. It's taken me around an hour to get through before, but I still got summer holiday tickets free, so it's well worth the wait. Once you've got your booking code, you can go to the theme park calendar and see which dates still have free tickets and which ones you have to pay for. Check out Sundays if all the free school holiday tickets have already gone. WHAT IS SUN SUPERDAYS? Sun Superdays is The Sun's exclusive partnership with Merlin Entertainments, giving Sun readers the chance to get FREE or highly discounted tickets to 11 of their top UK attractions - including Alton Towers Resort, Chessington World of Adventures, Thorpe Park, London Eye and many more. And as a Sun Club member, you can get automatic access to these great deals - without the need to collect Sun Savers codes - just head to The Sun Club Offers & Competitions section, where each month you'll find an exclusive Sun Superdays offer waiting to be redeemed. This month, you can book tickets to Warwick Castle. Booking opens at 11am on Wednesday, May 21. Holidays From £9.50 per person 7 When it comes to the Hols From £9.50 deal, Sun Club members could book a day early in the April promotion, so I bagged a brilliant break in Norfolk for a May weekend for just £130 for six people. The same caravan booked direct with the holiday park would have been £200. We've had some great bargain breaks over the years. Nowadays, UK chains like Park Holidays and Lyons take part and you can also go to caravan parks in Europe for a weekend, a midweek or a full week. If you can go term time midweek, you'll be able to find holidays for just £40 for four people, but prices do go up at weekends and in the school holidays, so you need to check carefully to make sure it's the best deal for your family, especially once you factor in extras like entertainment passes. If you book direct, the price you're paying normally covers all the added extras like linen or passes, but that's not always the case when you book through a third party like Sun Hols From £9.50. Having said that, there is a price guarantee that means you could get money back and an extra £10 if you find a better deal within 28 days once you've booked your break. Tickets galore Even if you're not a theme park fan and don't want a caravan holiday, there are other deals on Sun Club that could make it worth your while to join. We've never been to a darts tournament before, but with two free tickets worth £74 available, it seemed like a good way to introduce my eldest to a different kind of sport that's enjoying a renaissance at the moment. And Sun Club members can also enjoy four free tickets to racecourses all over the UK. Kids go free and the tickets could be worth up to £128 if you book the summer opening party at Windsor, featuring Marvin Humes. We're often in Great Yarmouth over the summer, so I'm keeping my eyes peeled for tickets to the horse racing there. If you're a bingo lover, you can claim 20 free plays each month. There's even a link to book discounted theatre tickets if you're heading to the capital for a night of culture. I'm certainly maxxing out my Sun Club membership. Make sure you're doing the same! 7 7

Tesco Clubcard warning as shoppers urged to spend 50p this month
Swathes of Tesco shoppers have been issued an urgent warning to spend at least 50p this month, or risk losing the Clubcard vouchers they've earned ahead of a strict deadline Shoppers are being pressed to spend as little as 50p in Tesco this month, to avoid a costly deadline. Around 20 million customers are currently signed up to the supermarket giant's Clubcard loyalty scheme, saving them money on dual-priced items. Tesco Clubcard also allows Brits to collect one point for every £1 they spend in-store or online, as well as one point for every two litres of fuel they purchase. Each Clubcard points works out at 1p in Tesco, so 200 points can knock £2 off your shop. You need a minimum of 150 points to get a Clubcard voucher, which will be worth £1.50 to spend at Tesco. Vouchers are issued out every three months (February, May, August and November) and remain valid for two years. This means a huge batch is slated to expire in just two weeks (Saturday, May 31). "Your Clubcard vouchers are expiring soon," the supermarket emailed select customers. "Don't forget to use them on your next shop." This time last year, around £17 million of Clubcard vouchers were nearing their expiry date, so it's worth checking if yours are still in date. If you want to hold onto your vouchers to use later in the year (for example, around Christmas time) there is a little-known loophole to extend their lifespan. All you have to do is make a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards webpage (this could be as little as 50p) and your remaining Clubcard voucher balance will then be credited back to you as points. You'll then receive the voucher equivalent of your remaining points when Tesco next issues you a Clubcard statement. Again, this will then be valid for two years. However, you will need to do this for every voucher that you have, meaning it may not be worth your while for smaller amounts. Alternatively, you can double your voucher's worth by using them with a 'Reward Partner' such as Pizza Express or Thorpe Park. "You can sign in to your Clubcard account on the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app or at to manage your vouchers," Tesco states on its website. "The vouchers you haven't used yet are listed first, with details of their expiry dates. You can also see the vouchers you have used, along with details of when and how you used them." Tesco shoppers told to act before May 31 as supermarket issues alert
Tesco sends out Clubcard vouchers every three months - in February, May, August and November - and they are valid for two years, which means a big batch are expiring soon Tesco has issued an urgent warning for shoppers to use their Clubcard points before they expire at the end of next month. Tesco sends out Clubcard vouchers every three months - in February, May, August and November - and they are valid for two years. This means the ones that are expiring on May 31, 2025, were first issued in May 2023. The supermarket has emailed a reminder to customers, saying: 'Your Clubcard vouchers are expiring soon. Don't forget to use them on your next shop.' Tesco shoppers earn one Clubcard point for every £1 spent on groceries in stores and online, or one point for every two litres of fuel purchased at a Tesco petrol station. You also get one point for every £1 spent with Tesco Mobile or for every £1 spent using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card, and one point for every £4 spent on a Tesco credit card. You need a minimum of 150 points to get a Clubcard voucher, which will be worth £1.50 to spend at Tesco. But if you're not quite ready to use your vouchers yet, there is a trick to extend their life - and double their value - by using them with a Tesco "Reward Partner" such as Thorpe Park, Pizza Express and the RAC. It you make a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards webpage, your remaining Clubcard voucher balance will then be credited back to you as points. These points will be turned into vouchers again when Tesco next issues you a Clubcard statement. You will need to do this for every voucher you have though - so it may not be worth it for smaller amounts. Tesco has around 20 million Clubcard members in the UK. It comes after the supermarket urged shoppers to update their Tesco app before March 31 as older versions now no longer work. In an email to customers, Tesco said: "To increase your data protection and online security, we're updating our Tesco app to a newer version. "After March 31, older versions of the app will no longer work. To keep shopping and enjoying all of your Clubcard benefits on your app, make sure you have the latest version before March 31. "This update won't affect anything you do on Thanks for shopping at Tesco." You can update your app by visiting the Apple App Store or Google Play. It comes after Tesco axed its 'Pay In-Store' feature, which allowed shoppers to pay and collect Clubcard points in one go by scanning a code. It means these two steps now need to be done separately. In the email sent in February, Tesco said: "To ensure we're able to keep bringing out the best value and convenience, we've taken the decision to remove the pay in-store feature, formally known as Tesco Pay+, from the Tesco app. "Between now and March 7, the pay in-store feature will be phased out and any linked card details will be removed, unless you're using them for GetGo, Whoosh, or home delivery shopping. "So next time you're in-store, you'll need to pay separately after scanning your Clubcard. You can still earn points and access Clubcard Prices by simply scanning your Clubcard or app at the till. Or you can add your Clubcard to your Apple or Google Wallets.'
