James Gunn and John Cena on PEACEMAKER Season 2's Revamped Opening Dance Sequence — GeekTyrant

When Peacemaker dropped in 2022, every flipped over that opening credits sequence. A full-blown, deadpan dance number to Wig Wam's 'Do Ya Wanna Taste It,' performed by the entire cast in glorious awkward unison, instantly became a viral phenomenon and a signature piece of the show's chaotic charm. Now, with Season 2 arriving this August, James Gunn is switching things up and we're getting a brand-new dance sequence. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Gunn confirmed that the new credits will feature a different song, new choreography, and appearances from some of the new characters joining the cast… including one particularly enthusiastic bald eagle. 'I'll give you an exclusive: You get to see Eagly try to dance for the first time. So that's really something. He is not the best at it, but he tries to really join in the dance sequence at the end. He's got a little pose this time.' As for why they a changing the sequence Gunn laughed and said: 'We killed everyone in the season, so we kind of had to. Everyone died! Also, we have a lot of new cast members — Tim Meadows is Langston Fleury, Sol Rodriguez is Sasha Bordeaux, and Michael Rooker's in the cast, Judomaster is a bigger character this time — so I knew that I needed to do a new dance.' That said, Gunn isn't looking to top the original, and he's well aware of the cultural lightning-in-a-bottle it became. 'I think there's 4 billion views of the dance sequence on TikTok, so when you have something that's that viral, I just wanted to do a good job with the [new] dance sequence. 'I don't know if the dance sequence ever is going to one-up the first, because no one expected it. It was a complete surprise, and you just can't replicate that. 'However, the surprises within the show itself, I think, replicate that many times over, because there's so many more twists and turns in this season with what happens and what you find out about this universe.' John Cena didn't give much away but echoed the sentiment that this time around, the cast knew exactly what was at stake. 'This time around, everybody looked at it through a different lens, knowing how much the audience enjoyed the first one. '[We knew] this is going to be a cornerstone of the show, so let's dive in. Everyone gave their best in season 1, but I just think people now know the importance of it and hopefully it shines through in season 2.' Also worth noting that Gunn and Cena will be making an appearance at CCXP on June 1 for a Peacemaker panel, so we've got more details and information coming our way!

"SNL" comedian actor Tim Meadows comes to Denver stage in improv show

Some of the world's best improvisers are coming to a Denver stage this month. Tim Meadows, known for the title role in "The Ladies Man" movie and "SNL" skits, will be joined by Matt Walsh, Brad Morris and Joe Canale. The show is called Bluebird Improv, and Meadows says it's the best improv you can see. CBS "We were trying to do the math, and I think between the four of us we have like 100 years of improv experience," Meadows said. "So we never have bad shows. Our shows are always good because we enjoy making each other laugh, we love entertaining each other." Bluebird Improv will be on stage at the Garner Galleria Theatre May 16–18. A limited number of tickets will be available for every performance at $40 each through a digital lottery. Otherwise, tickets are available now on the Denver Center for the Performing Arts' website.
