Fox Sports executive Charlie Dixon accused twice of sexual battery, fired by network

Fox Sports executive Charlie Dixon accused twice of sexual battery, fired by network Show Caption Hide Caption Workplace sexual harassment comes out of the shadows Long before the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements shook Hollywood, everyday women faced sexual harassment in the workplace. Many still do. USA TODAY Charlie Dixon, a Fox Sports executive vice president who is being sued for sexual misconduct, was fired by the network. However, Dixon's attorney say the network terminated him for hiring his wife as a freelancer and not because of the harassment cases. Former network host Julie Stewart-Binks filed a lawsuit in January, alleging that Dixon sexually assaulted her by forcibly kissing her after pushing her against a wall in January 2016. Dixon is also a co-defendant in a lawsuit filed in January by a former hairstylist, Noushin Faraji, who says that Dixon rubbed and groped her buttocks in January 2017. Former host Skip Bayless and current "Speak" host Joy Taylor are also named in the lawsuit, which includes claims of sexual battery, negligent supervision and wrongful termination. Dixon's attorney, John Ly, said his client is saddened by Fox Sports' decision to terminate his employment, and has cooperated fully with the investigation and denies engaging in any inappropriate conduct. 'After nine years in positions of increasing responsibility at the network, Mr. Dixon was told that he was being let go for violating company policy,' Ly said in a statement. 'According to the network, Mr. Dixon did not disclose to human resources or the legal department that a third-party production company had hired his wife as a temporary freelancer. But the reality is that Mr. Dixon had asked his supervisor about the hire and was told that there were no objections. It is noteworthy that a Fox spokesperson made no reference to the company investigation of sexual harassment claims in announcing Mr. Dixon's departure.'

Skip Bayless, Fox Sports in settlement talks for harassment lawsuit, per report Show Caption Hide Caption Workplace sexual harassment comes out of the shadows Long before the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements shook Hollywood, everyday women faced sexual harassment in the workplace. Many still do. USA TODAY Fox Sports and Skip Bayless are reportedly in settlement talks with a hairstylist over a harassment suit. The network was in mediation with former hairstylist, Noushin Faraji, according to Front Office Sports. Faraji filed a lawsuit in California against the network, former "Undisputed" host Skip Bayless, current FS1 host Joy Taylor and Fox Sports executive Charlie Dixon. 'While the parties did not resolve at mediation, they are continuing to engage in settlement discussions with the mediator,' the filing said, according to Front Office Sports. 'The parties believe that, to preserve resources, it would be beneficial to hold off on the Initial Status Conference pending completing settlement negotiations.' What were the accusations against Skip Bayless? The lawsuit also claimed former personality Bayless offered to pay Faraji for sex. Bayless left Fox Sports as host of "Undisputed" in August 2024. What were the accusations against Joy Taylor? Taylor's name is mentioned for having insulted the hairstylist on a personal and professional level. Taylor did take some time away from Fox Sports, but has since returned as a co-host for 'Speak' alongside Paul Pierce and Keyshawn Johnson. She previously served as a moderator for 'Undisputed,' which also featured Bayless. What were the accusations against Charlie Dixon? Attorneys for both sides mediated the situation on March 10, according to the report by Front Office Sports. Faraji alleged in the lawsuit that Dixon forcefully touched her and used his position within the company "to sexually harass women." Dixon was suspended after the accusations in February. Julie Stewart-Binks, a former host at Fox Sports, also had sued the network and alleged that Dixon had sexually assaulted her at a hotel in 2016. Dixon had reportedly filed a response to Stewart-Binks' allegations, saying he had no sexual or offensive contact with her, according to a report by Awful Announcing.

Olivia Munn rejected seven-figure NDA after 'traumatic' set incident

Olivia Munn recently revealed that she declined a seven-figure offer from a movie studio to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) after a 'traumatic' experience on set. Speaking on Monica Lewinsky's 'Reclaiming' podcast, Munn did not disclose the specific movie or details of the incident but emphasized her refusal to stay silent. 'I had to file complaints with the studio, and they offered me a lot of money—seven figures—to accept their apology and acknowledgment,' Munn said (via E! Online). 'But it came with an NDA. I said I'm not signing an NDA, and they said I had to.' The actress rejected the offer, feeling it was 'so wrong' and 'disrespectful,' particularly during the early days of the #MeToo and Times Up movements. She feared signing the NDA could be used against her to silence her voice or discredit her claims. Munn ultimately walked out of the meeting, feeling empowered by her decision. Munn has previously spoken out against industry misconduct. In 2017, she accused director Brett Ratner of sexual harassment, alleging he exposed himself to her on the set of 'After the Sunset.' In 2018, she reported to 20th Century Fox that 'The Predator' director Shane Black had cast his friend, a registered sex offender, in the film without informing the cast. Black later issued an apology. Munn's decision to reject the NDA underscores her commitment to accountability in Hollywood. Her latest revelations highlight ongoing concerns about industry misconduct and the silencing tactics used by studios.
