The ultimate guide for the best iced coffee spots in Dubai for your morning caffeine run

Life by Team Emirates Woman 27 seconds ago 'This is a jumbo-coffee morning. I need coffee in an IV.' — Lorelai Gilmore This quote resonates with people who work 9-5 on most mornings. How else is one supposed to get through the eight hours of a work day? With a morning shot of caffeine, that's how. With the UAE weather making it almost impossible to enjoy a hot cappucino or americano in the AM, it's iced-coffee-to-the-rescue season. Plus, it almost feels like a treat you're buying for yourself as a reward for adulting in this prickly heat. When it comes to iced coffees, not every place can make the cut. It has to be the perfect decoction of the espresso shot, milk of choice, ice and flavouring — no element can overpower the other. Coffee lovers will agree. After trying and testing a couple of popular joints in Dubai, we've curated a list of the best iced coffee spots that you can pit stop at before head to work. Some elements we looked at while curating this list was checking the quality of the espresso used, the ice to coffee ratio, the value for price, and of course, how cute does the delivery cup look. 'Burb Bites: Too much to try at Carmel's TOUS les JOURS

This week's bite is a sweet recommendation right off the Monon Trail. The bite(s): Cream and chocolate cloud cake slices ($6.75 each), two B.E.L.T. sandwiches ($7.50 each), a 16oz Matcha Lavender Lemonade ($6.50) and a 16oz Iced Tiramisu Latte ($5.95) from TOUS les JOURS. Excuse the long list of bites, but the grab-and-go nature of this French-Asian-inspired bakery that opened just before Christmas 2024 invites experimenting. The 'burb: Carmel. My take: My wife and I swung by for an afternoon cake date but opted for much more when the bakery's offerings made a strong first impression, and drummed up unexpected nostalgia. The impossibly light cloud cake packed big flavor into fluffy layers that are reminiscent of the cassata cakes that are a springtime staple in our native Cleveland. And the sandwiches felt like elevated remixes of the B.E.L.T. sandwiches we fell in love with when making convenience store runs on our first trip to Japan. Yes, but: The drinks didn't remind us of anything. They were just delicious. The iced tiramisu latte is a 2024 World Coffee Innovation Award finalist that lives up to the accolade, but the matcha lavender lemonade might have stolen the show with its refreshing bite and light carbonation. The vibe: Window shopping is half the fun at TOUS les JOURS, and you're met with a glass case full of goodies the moment you step inside. For ready-to-eat items like sandwiches and doughnuts, grab a tray cafeteria style and pick out whatever your heart desires. Head to the counter for cake slices, drinks and other made-to-order items. If you go: 110 W. Main St., 8am-8pm daily.
