Sask. RCMP vehicles damaged in impaired driving crashes

Two Saskatchewan RCMP vehicles were damaged in separate incidents involving impaired drivers. On May 19, officers received a report of an erratic driver in Tisdale, a town located about 200 kilometres south of Saskatoon, where RCMP say the driver struck the police vehicle after being pulled over. The second incident occurred on May 21 in Swift Current, where an RCMP officer was conducting a curfew check at a home when an impaired driver struck the RCMP vehicle while it was parked. No injuries were reported in either collision; however, the drivers, a man and a woman, were charged with impaired driving, police said. According to the RCMP, 41 drivers were charged with alcohol-related impaired driving offences, and three drivers were charged with drug-related impaired driving during the Canada Road Safety Week enforcement held from May 13 to 19. According to the RCMP, 33 people have lost their lives on the roads in the province this year. 'For your own safety and the safety of others on the road – make smart choices,' said Supt. Grant St. Germaine, officer in charge of Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Services. 'If you are planning to consume alcohol or drugs, make plans for a safe ride home or stay put until you're sober. Getting behind the wheel while impaired could be the worst – or last – mistake of your life.'

2 RCMP vehicles hit by allegedly impaired drivers in separate crashes

Saskatchewan RCMP say two police cruisers were damaged in separate crashes involving impaired drivers this week. No injuries were reported. "I've been an RCMP officer for more than 48 years, and this is a new one — two impaired drivers striking police vehicles in a matter of days," Supt. Grant St. Germaine, officer in charge of Saskatchewan RCMP traffic services, said in a news release Friday. RCMP say the first crash happened on May 19 in Tisdale. RCMP received a report of an erratic driver and found the vehicle parked outside a business. The officer activated their emergency lights and pulled behind it. The vehicle reversed, striking the police vehicle, the release says. After an investigation, a woman was charged with impaired driving. Two days later, on May 21, an officer was doing a curfew check at a home in Swift Current, RCMP say. He saw a vehicle with no lights on driving erratically. That vehicle struck the parked police cruiser. A man was charged with impaired driving. That police vehicle is no longer drivable, according to the RCMP. "What's not new is my frustration that some people just aren't getting the message: impaired driving is dangerous and can lead to tragic results," St. Germaine said. The incidents come after Canada Road Safety Week enforcement, which RCMP did from May 13 to May 19 across the province. More than 6,600 vehicles were stopped and officers laid 41 alcohol-related charges during that week. They also made three drug-related charges. Officers also issued 126 roadside suspensions: 59 for recent alcohol consumption and 67 for recent drug consumption. "Thirty-three people have already lost their lives on roads in Saskatchewan RCMP jurisdiction this year. Not all of them are impaired driving-related but please — for your own safety and the safety of others on the road — make smart choices," St. Germaine said in the release.

Why Ashley Tisdale Hasn't Shown Episodes of 'Phineas and Ferb' to Her 4-Year-Old Daughter Jupiter Yet (Exclusive)

Ashley Tisdale is opening up about why her 4-year-old daughter hasn't watched Phineas and Ferb yet PEOPLE caught up with the actress, singer and Being Frenshe founder at the Bush's Bluey Baked Beans launch event at CAMP in New York City on May 14 Of the upcoming Phineas and Ferb reboot, Tisdale says, "The new episodes are amazing, and I'm so excited because my character finally has aged a little bit"Ashley Tisdale's daughter hasn't gotten to know Candace Flynn yet. Ahead of the upcoming Phineas and Ferb reboot, the actress, singer and Being Frenshe founder is opening up about why her 4-year-old daughter Jupiter hasn't seen the beloved Disney Channel animated series — on which Tisdale plays Candace, the titular characters' disapproving older sister. "I haven't [watched the show with Jupiter]. I mean, she's seen [the characters] Phineas and Ferb," Tisdale, 39, tells PEOPLE at the Bush's Bluey Baked Beans launch event at CAMP in New York City on May 14. "It might be a little bit more for older age range," she adds of Phineas and Ferb. "She knows that I'm on it, and she has seen that, but I haven't shown her the new episodes." While Jupiter hasn't sat down for an official Phineas and Ferb viewing, she's had a behind-the-scenes look at the show, as Tisdale brought her to a recording session last year and documented the experience on Instagram. About 10 years after the series originally concluded in June 2015, Phineas and Ferb is coming back for its fifth season on June 5 and will air on both Disney Channel and Disney XD plus stream on Disney+ the next day. "The new episodes are amazing, and I'm so excited because my character finally has aged a little bit," explains Tisdale. "She's 16, and so I really can't wait for everybody to see it. It's one of those things where [creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff 'Swampy' Marsh] did not go far from the DNA of it, which is so great." The "He Said She Said" performer attended the Bush's Bluey Baked Beans event, where fans got to meet Bluey, the Australian cartoon dog from the animated series of the same name, and walk through a full-size replica of her home. is now available in the Apple App Store! Download it now for the most binge-worthy celeb content, exclusive video clips, astrology updates and more! Tisdale and husband Christopher French, who share Jupiter and daughter Emerson, are frequent Bluey viewers. "We really sometimes push it on them. We're like, 'We should watch Bluey today," she says. "Emerson is only 8 months [old], so she has yet to [watch Bluey]. She sees a little bit of it, but for sure Jupiter is a fan, and 100% me and my husband are fans." One of her favorite parts of the show is that each episode has a "deep meaning." She adds, "The parents are so great at exploring imagination and creativity with Bluey and Bingo, and it's just a feel-good show... I love it." Through the collaboration, fans can find special Bush's Baked Beans cans featuring the characters of Bluey — which Tisdale anticipates will excite Jupiter. "It's really hard when you have a picky eater," she details. "When they like something, you tend to stick with it, and so she's always been a humongous beans fan, and if Bluey's on it, she has to have it, so it's helpful." Read the original article on People

Ashley Tisdale's daughter tells people she's ‘Sharpay's baby': ‘What kind of karma is this?'

Ashley Tisdale is a mom of two and a business owner. But before that, she was best known for originating the role of Sharpay Evans in Disney's hit trilogy 'High School Musical.' Now that she has daughters of her own, Tisdale said in a new TikTok that her oldest daughter, 4-year-old Jupiter, has discovered a love for the 'High School Musical' movies and its music. 'I don't know what kind of karma this is, but Jupiter saw my niece in 'High School Musical' the play last weekend,' Tisdale shared in the TikTok video. 'When she's seen the movie in the past like she never really cared about it. But I think seeing my niece in the play, play me (Sharpay Evans) has just changed her so she had to watch all three movies.' As Tisdale continued, she said Jupiter 'will not stop listening to the music. It's playing in the house right now. When I'm on walks with her, she asks for me to play it. When I'm in the car, she asks for me to play it, specifically 'High School Musical 2.'' The actress said Jupiter's favorite song is 'HUMUHUMUNUKUNUKUAPUA'A,' a song Tisdale admits she hates. 'I'm having to listen to it over and over.' 'Also, she screams out, she screams out in public. 'I'm Sharpay's baby.' I just feel so embarrassed when I'm walking into a store and she's like, 'we're all in this together.' I'm like, 'oh, my.'' Although Tisdale says it's 'really sweet' to see her daughter taking an interest in her work, 'after, like, a good week straight of listening to the music again, it's like, 'Okay, we're good. We don't need to watch this again.'' In addition to Jupiter, Tisdale and her husband, Christopher French, are also parents to a second daughter, Emerson, who was born in September.

Ashley Tisdale's daughter Jupiter loves 'High School Musical', declares 'I'm Sharpay's baby!'

Ashley Tisdale's daughter Jupiter has developed a strong attachment to High School Musical after realising her mother played Sharpay Evans in the Disney franchise. In a TikTok video posted on May 13, 2025, Tisdale said her four-year-old now frequently exclaims, 'I'm Sharpay's baby!' in public. Tisdale starred as Sharpay, a determined and flamboyant character, in all three High School Musical films. According to her, Jupiter's interest in the movies was sparked after watching her cousin portray Sharpay in a school play. Prior to that, she had shown little interest when watching the films at home. Tisdale noted that her daughter's favourite is High School Musical 2, and the song 'Humuhumunukunukuapua'a' is played on repeat in their home. She jokingly admitted, 'I hate that song,' but said she listens to it often for her daughter's enjoyment. Reflecting on the situation, Tisdale said it has been meaningful to see her daughter enjoy something that played such a significant role in her career. While she is happy to see the connection forming, she jokingly added that after a full week of nonstop viewing, she's ready for a short break from the franchise. Tisdale and her husband, Christopher French, share daughters Jupiter and Emerson. Since becoming a mother, the actress has spoken about how parenting has shaped her personal and professional life.
