People are just realising Ashley Tisdale's age after Disney star flaunts youthful looks

Daily Mirror20-07-2025
Disney legend Ashley Tisdale showed off her youthful looks in a recent Instagram post – and fans of the High School Musical star simply can't believe her age...
Followers of High School Musical sensation Ashley Tisdale have only just realised her actual age following a jaw-dropping Instagram upload. The actress caused quite a stir online earlier this year with a viral social media post that garnered more than 460,000 likes.

Admirers were left gobsmacked by the former Disney star, with many crediting her youthful appearance to those famous "Sharpay genes". In the High School Musical star's post, she shared: "How I thought I'd look at 40 vs. how I actually look." The first portion of the clip featured a filter that gave the Phineas and Ferb voice actress the appearance of having wrinkles and silver hair. However, when the filter disappeared, viewers were absolutely floored by Tisdale's real appearance.

Fans seem to think the star hasn't aged a single day since her memorable performance in the High School Musical trilogy.
The post, shared on 22nd April this year, was accompanied by the caption: "Almost 40 and still feeling 25." One admirer joked: "It's those Sharpay genes."
Another commented: "People need to get it out of their head that 30 to 40 is old." Tisdale, who celebrated her 40th birthday on 2nd July this year, shot to fame through her roles in High School Musical and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

She later landed the lead in Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure in 2011. The Disney alumna stepped away from acting in 2016 to concentrate on her musical career, whilst also making her television debut as a panellist on The Masked Dancer.
The star also ventured into video game voice acting for the first time with The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes. Tisdale's latest film appearance was in Baby Shark's Big Movie! back in 2023.

Earlier this month, Tisdale reflected on reaching the milestone of 40.
She shared in an Instagram post: "Looking back at the milestones - big and small - that shaped me, I see a life built with intention, love, and resilience.
"I've grown through things I never imagined I'd face. I've learned to trust my instincts, to listen to my heart, and to protect my peace. I've let go of timelines, softened into myself, and started choosing what truly matters.
"And at the centre of it all is the family I've built - my greatest pride, my truest joy. A love I couldn't have dreamed up if I tried.
"It hasn't all been easy. Nothing was ever handed to me. At one point, my mental health was at its lowest - I didn't recognise or even like myself. But I kept going. I did the work. I grew. And now I look around and am proud of who I've becoming.
"If I could give any advice so far, it would be this: lead with love. Don't pour your energy into the bad stuff - pour it into the good. That's what grows. That's what lasts."

Princess Andre breaks silence on Peter and Katie's bitter feud after his blistering statement The battle of the exes hit it's peak this week when Peter, 52, posted a statement on behalf of his family saying, "this ends today". In retaliation, Katie then shared her own social media post last night, where she was clearly taking a swipe at the Mysterious Girl singer. In his first post since he released his bombshell statement about the on-going feud with Katie, Peter shared a sweet family photo on his latest Instagram Story. In the picture, the singer along with wife Emily and the three kids they share together, could be see standing united. Katie Price's relationship history We take a look back at the highs and lows of Katie Price's relationship history. 1996-1998: Katie got engaged to Gladiators star Warren Furman - aka Ace - with a £3,000 ring. But their relationship didn't make it as far as 'I do'. 1998-2000: Katie described Dane Bowers as 'the love of her life' but she broke up with the singer when he allegedly cheated on her. 2001: Footballer Dwight Yorke is the father of Katie's eldest child Harvey. He has had very little to do with Harvey throughout his life. 2002: Rebounding from Dwight, Katie famously had one night of passion with Pop Idol star Gareth Gates, allegedly taking his virginity. 2002-2004: Katie was dating Scott Sullivan when she entered the jungle for I'm A Me Out Of Here!. He threatened to "punch Peter's lights out" when chemistry blossomed between her and Peter Andre. 2004-2009: The jungle romance resulted in Katie marrying Aussie pop star Peter. They had two kids, Junior and Princess, before their bitter split in 2009. 2010-2011: Fresh from her break-up with Peter, Katie enjoyed a whirlwind relationship and marriage with cage fighter Alex Reid. They split 20 months after their Las Vegas wedding. 2011: Katie briefly dated model Danny Cipriani... but it ended as quickly as it begun. 2011-2012: They didn't speak the same language, but Katie got engaged to Argentinian model Leandro Penna in 2011. He later fled home to South America. 2012-2018: Wedding bells rang once more after Katie met Kieran Hayler in 2013. They had two kids together, Jett and Bunny, before their break-up and divorce. 2018-2019: Katie moved on quickly with Kris Boyson. They had an on-off romance for one year and even got engaged. They split for good in 2019. 2019: Katie was linked to Charles Drury during her on-off relationship with Kris. Charles, who also dated Lauren Goodger, has always denied being in "official relationship" with her. 2020-2023: Car salesman Carl Woods took a shining to Katie in 2020. Their relationship was up and down for three years. They broke up for a final time last year. 2024-present: After weeks of rumours, Katie confirmed her relationship with Married At First Sight star JJ Slater in February this year. They had their backs to the camera, and they were seen walking along the beach holding hands, as a show of solidarity. Pete simply wrote "Cyprus" over the photo. PETER RELEASES STATEMENT Peter's return to social media came after he addressed the on-going feud between his family and Katie. Tension has been high between the pair, as Katie blames her ex for a rift between her and Princess, 52. Pricey claims she was "banned" by Peter from appearing in her daughter's reality show, The Princess Diaries. On Thursday, the dad-of-five released a statement about his ex-wife saying he'd "stayed silent" for 16 years since their split in 2009. Pete said he chose to speak out now after Katie claimed she was being frozen out of Princess' burgeoning TV career. "The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight," Pete wrote in the letter published on social media. "For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood." Pete concluded: "Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations that I have yet to address. Those will be dealt with in the coming months."

Vegan activist begs for £14,000 to reclaim her passport so she can travel to UK protest

Tash Peterson and her boyfriend Jack Higgs are pleading for people to donate £14,000 to pay their bankruptcy trustees to leave the country and protest in Herefordshire A vegan activist, who went bankrupt after a court found she had defamed a vet, is now trying to raise money so she can leave Australia to go to the "world's biggest vegan camp out" in the UK. ‌ Tash Peterson and her boyfriend Jack Higgs had their passports taken from them when they filed for bankruptcy back in May when they were ordered to pay £134,000 (AUD280,000) in damages. They had been found to have published defamatory claims that a Perth vet was "eating her own patients", with Ms Peterson also claiming the court battle left her personal accounts "wiped", reports. ‌ The controversial couple have now returned to social media this week where they have urged their supporters to donate to a GoFundMe page they have set up to help pay $30,000 ordered by their bankruptcy trustees, with claiming it was to "prevent" them leaving the country. In a video posted on their channels, Peterson said: "Because of this, we are trying to raise funds so that I can give my speech at the Vegan Camp Out." ‌ 'The only purpose of our trip is to speak up for non-human animals. Not to run away. We only have one week to raise the $30,000 [£14,000]'. The GoFundMe is being ran by Peterson's mum, Sally, with the page urging people to put their hands in their pockets. On the page, it said: "Contributing to this bond will support their case for travel, and under special conditions such as they return to Australia and give their passports back, the bond will be returned. "If the funds are returned, all donations will be directed to the Farm Transparency Project, supporting ongoing animal rights activism." Since the GoFundMe went live this week, the couple took to Instagram where they defended their decision to set up the fundraiser and addressed concerns. Higgs further said they were "not pressuring anyone" to donate to the fundraiser, with people free to donate if they wish. Peterson is listed as a speaker at the event in Hertfordshire, and addressing why they simply cannot conduct their speech to the crowd, Higgs continued to say "live streaming cannot replace being in person" due to them networking at the event. ‌ Peterson also explained they cannot be certain the money will be donated to charity following their two month trip to the UK. At the time of writing, the couple have already amassed almost $3,458 towards their "business trip" to the two month protest. Peterson and Higgs have a unique relationship, as the doting boyfriend has no problem with his partner stripping off in public and insists it's all for a good cause. He even helps Peterson apply body paint before her raunchy protests and films her message-spreading videos on an adult website. Speaking to Australian media outlet The Project in 2022, Tash said: "I use my body to raise awareness for those who have no bodily autonomy, whether it be topless or close to being nude and I think it works brilliantly to raise awareness for animals." Tash said that her work helps her spread her message further, and also boosts her income so she can focus more fully on animal rights activism.
