Saints discover fixtures ahead of 2025/26 Premier League 2 campaign
SAINTS under-21s will start their Premier League 2 campaign with a trip to Newcastle United on Sunday, August 17.
Saints reached the PL2 play-off final last season, losing 2-0 to Manchester City, and start the season with an away game for the third straight season.
With only 20 games in the regular season, Saints will not play all of the 25 other teams in the division.
New boss Tonda Eckert takes on Sunderland in his first home game, on Friday, August 22, before a trip to Ipswich a week later.
Southampton will play a repeat of their final defeat to Man City on Friday, September 26, with the game set to be played on the Citizens' home patch once again.

They face Arsenal at home on Friday, November 7, in what is their last league game before a break in December.
January promises a reunion with former boss Calum McFarlane, who was promoted to Chelsea under-21 boss soon after joining this summer.
That test is followed by a home fixture against Liverpool, now managed by former Wales boss Rob Page, on Sunday, February 8.
Manchester United will host Saints in what looks like their toughest test in March, while a home game against Leeds could also pose problems.
The top 16 teams at the end of the season will go into the PL2 play-offs, while, new for 2025/26, teams finishing in 17th to 24th will compete in a play-off competition against the top eight sides from the Professional Development United vs Saints - Sunday, August 17.
