Man arrested after recovery of multiple drugs in Lyons traffic stop
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A Sodus man faces felony drug charges after New York State Police announced that several substances were recovered during a traffic stop in Lyons Monday night.
According to New York State Police, Tony E. Hickey Jr., 54, was stopped by troopers Monday night around 11 p.m. after failing to use a signal when driving onto Rt. 31 and then speeding. He was stopped on Warncke Road in Lyons.
During the traffic stop, troopers said they discovered several illegal drugs:
~117.1g of crack cocaine.
~4.3g of an unidentified controlled substance
~13.5g of buprenorphine
It's alleged he also had digital scales and money at the time of the traffic stop.
Hickey was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second and third degrees and was taken to the Wayne County Jail. As of Tuesday night around 9 p.m., the Wayne County Sheriff's Office website indicated he was still in custody.
