Linkin Park's ‘From Zero' Rocks Album Charts After Deluxe Reissue
Linkin Park's 2024 album From Zero returns to a bevy of Billboard's album charts (dated May 31) following its deluxe reissue with additional tracks on May 16. The set reenters Top Album Sales (at No. 5), Top Hard Rock Albums (No. 4), Vinyl Albums (No. 8), Top Alternative Albums (No. 9), Top Rock Albums (No. 15), Top Rock & Alternative Albums (No. 17), Indie Store Album Sales (No. 17) and the Billboard 200 (No. 71). From Zero debuted at No. 1 on all of the above charts last November, save for the Billboard 200 and Top Album Sales, where it arrived at No. 2. The same week From Zero's deluxe impacted the album charts, one of the new songs added to the project, 'Up From the Bottom,' hit No. 1 on both the Alternative Airplay and Mainstream Rock Airplay charts. In the tracking week ending May 22, From Zero earned 14,000 equivalent album units (up 173%), with traditional album sales comprising 7,500 of that sum (up 531%). The latter figure pushes the album's reentry on Top Album Sales at No. 5. Elsewhere in the top 10 of the all-genre Top Album Sales chart, five albums debut in the region from Morgan Wallen, Jin, BOYNEXTDOOR, Sleep Theory and MEOVV. Billboard's Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales. The chart's history dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Billboard began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Pure album sales were the sole measurement utilized by the Billboard 200 albums chart through the list dated Dec. 6, 2014, after which that chart switched to a methodology that blends album sales with track equivalent album (TEA) units and streaming equivalent album (SEA) units. Wallen's I'm the Problem launches at No. 1 on Top Album Sales with a career-best 133,000 sold, marking his fourth top 10-charting effort (all have reached the top three). Jin's Echo enters at No. 2 with 35,000 sold, garnering the singer his second effort to reach the top three. BOYNEXTDOOR's 4th EP: No Genre starts at a career-high No. 3 with nearly 14,000 sold; it's the fourth top 10 for the act. Sleep Token's Even in Arcadia falls 1-4 in its second week on the chart (nearly 8,000; down 90%), while the aforementioned From Zero reenters the list at No. 5. Kali Uchis' Sincerely. retreats 2-6 in its second week (just over 7,000; down 81%), Kendrick Lamar's chart-topping GNX climbs 8-7 (7,000; up 6%) and P1Harmony's DUH! dips 3-6 in its second week (nearly 7,000; down 69%). Rounding out the latest top 10 is Sleep Theory's first full-length set Afterglow, which scores the band its first top 10 (and chart entry) with its No. 9 debut (6,500) and MEOVV, who sees their debut EP My Eyes Open VVIDE start at No. 10 (6,000). Marren Morris Misses The Albums Chart For The First Time
Maren Morris's Dreamsicle debuts at No. 28 on the Top Album Sales chart but misses the Billboard ... More 200, marking a commercial low in her major label career. INDIO, CALIFORNIA - APRIL 13: (FOR EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Maren Morris performs with Zedd at the Outdoor Theatre during the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at Empire Polo Club on April 13, 2025 in Indio, California. (Photo byfor Coachella) It was almost a decade ago that Maren Morris broke out as one of the most exciting new names in country music. She did so with her major label debut album Hero and its singles "My Church" and "80s Mercedes," which both hit the Billboard charts and made a significant impact in 2016. Lately, Morris has been shaking things up, trying new styles and even stepping away from the country space where she got her start. The plan hasn't worked out as she hoped, and her new album Dreamsicle has turned out to be something of a commercial disappointment — the first of its kind for the singer-songwriter. Dreamsicle was released earlier in May and reaches just one Billboard chart this week, now that its first full tracking frame has concluded. The set opens at No. 28 on the Top Album Sales chart. Luminate reports that it sold a little over 2,900 copies in its first tracking period. Sadly, that's the only roster in the United States where Morris launches her latest project. Dreamsicle is now the first major label album by Morris to miss the Billboard 200, which ranks the most consumed albums in America. Her first three full-length projects with Columbia — Hero, Girl, and Humble Quest — all debuted on the list when they were brand new. She peaked at No. 4 with her sophomore effort Girl in 2019. Three years ago, Humble Quest brought her to a new low of No. 21, but her latest set doesn't even manage to crack the ranking. Since the album veers away from country stylings and into a more adult contemporary pop sound, it didn't leave a mark in the country space either. Morris also misses the top 10 on the Top Album Sales chart for the first time in her career with a new full-length major label release (she did share several albums as an independent artist that didn't chart). Girl stands out as her highest-rising win, as it missed out on hitting No. 1 by just one space. Hero peaked at No. 4, while Humble Quest counted No. 9 as its high point. Morris collects the thirteenth-highest-rising debut on the Top Album Sales chart this frame. The list is dominated by Even in Arcadia by metal act Sleep Token. Also new to the tally are just-released offerings from musicians like Kali Uchis, Forrest Frank, Blake Shelton, Arcade Fire, and Counting Crows.

Pink Floyd Reaches A Landmark Number With Its Latest Bestseller
Pink Floyd's Live at Pompeii debuts at No. 3 on the Top Album Sales chart, becoming the band's tenth ... More top 10 on the tally and its latest U.S. chart success. (Photo by Michael) Pink Floyd returns to the Billboard rankings in the U.S. this week, as At Pompeii - MCMLXXII opens on five tallies. The project launches inside the top 10 on all but one of those lists, as it was fueled by strong sales tied to the band's recently re-released concert film of the same name. It's not surprising that At Pompeii enjoys a lofty starting point, as Pink Floyd remains one of the bestselling groups of all time. The rock outfit can still move a massive number of units whenever a new release drops. The group reaches toward the top of one special ranking with At Pompeii, as the band nearly captures another No. 1. The set sold a little more than 20,100 copies across the U.S. in its first seven days of availability, according to Luminate. That sum is enough to place the title at No. 3 on the Top Album Sales chart. That list, published by Billboard weekly, ranks the bestselling full-lengths and EPs in the country, regardless of genre or format. At Pompeii starting in third place earns Pink Floyd its milestone tenth top 10 on the Top Album Sales chart. The group has sent 21 different projects to the tally, which means that as of this frame, just under half have reached the uppermost region. Two of those efforts — The Division Bell and Pulse — hit No. 1. The former reached the summit in mid-1994 and held for four weeks, while Pulse opened in first place in June 1995 and led for just one frame. Some of the band's other highest-ranking efforts include Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd, which peaked at No. 2, and several releases that reached No. 3, such as The Endless River, Animals, and now At Pompeii. Pink Floyd's latest release also lands inside the top 10 on the Vinyl Albums, Top Rock Albums, and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts. It misses the throne on the first two by just one space. On the Top Rock & Alternative Albums roster, it matches its performance on the Top Album Sales list, debuting at No. 3.

Bob Seger Returns To Several Billboard Charts Thanks To Sales Gains
Bob Seger's Greatest Hits re-enters the Top Album Sales and Top Rock Albums charts, selling over ... More 2,000 copies and climbing four Billboard rankings this week. Musician Bob Seger performs at the Poplar Creek Music Theater, Hoffman Estates, Illinois, July 9, 1983. (Photo by) Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band's Greatest Hits is one of the most successful albums in American history. The title can almost always be found on a handful of Billboard rankings, but even the sturdy project occasionally falls off some tallies. While streaming keeps the compilation present on the Billboard 200, it doesn't always sell well enough to remain on rosters dedicated solely to pure purchases. Still, fans of Seger and the group know that if the Greatest Hits collection ever disappears, it won't be gone for long. This week, Greatest Hits by Seger and the Silver Bullet Band returns to the Top Album Sales chart. The ranking lists the full-lengths and EPs that actually sell the most copies throughout the U.S. According to Luminate, the compilation sold just over 2,000 copies during the most recent tracking period. That number represents a more than 21% increase — several hundred additional units — from the previous frame. That figure is large enough to place the compilation in second-to-last place on the sales-only tally. Seger and company land just ahead of another hugely popular compilation: Chronicle by Creedence Clearwater Revival. That uptick in purchases was also enough to bring Greatest Hits back to another ranking. The compilation reenters the Top Rock Albums list at No. 25. That roster is compiled using a methodology that blends both sales and streaming activity, but it appears the increase in fans buying the title alone helped push it back onto the list of the most-consumed rock collections in the country. As Greatest Hits returns to those two rankings, it also rises on yet another pair of Billboard rosters. The set lifts two spots to No. 31 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart. At the same time, it surges seven spaces to No. 138 on the Billboard 200. Luminate reports that while sales of Seger's Greatest Hits jumped by more than 20% week over week, total consumption — which includes streams as well as purchases — grew by only 5.5%. The set shifted 10,650 equivalent units in the U.S. during the tracking week that ended more than seven days ago.

The Grateful Dead Have Missed No. 1 By One Space Several Times This Year
The Grateful Dead returns to a number of Billboard rankings this week with yet another entry in its hugely successful Dave's Picks series — a collection that now includes more than 50 full-lengths curated by longtime archivist David Lemieux. The jam-rock veterans nearly collect another No. 1 in the U.S. this frame, missing the top spot by just one rung. That's a familiar outcome for the Grateful Dead, especially on the Top Album Sales chart, where multiple releases — including several from the Dave's Picks line — have peaked at No. 2. The latest arrival adds to a long history of close calls, and it's not even the group's first near-miss of the year. Dave's Picks Volume 54: Baltimore Civic Center, Baltimore, MD - 3/26/73 opens at No. 2 on the Top Album Sales chart. Luminate reports that the release sold a little more than 19,000 copies in its first tracking frame. That sum, while impressive, wasn't enough to pose real competition when compared to Skeleta by Ghost. That new release launches with just under 77,000 pure purchases, easily securing the No. 1 spot on Billboard's list of the top-selling full-lengths and EPs in the country. The Grateful Dead surely doesn't mind landing at No. 2. In fact, it's something the band is used to at this point. Dave's Picks Volume 54 is the second title by the Grateful Dead to stall at No. 2 on the Top Album Sales chart in 2025. Just a few months ago in February, Dave's Picks Volume 53: Riverfront Coliseum, Cincinnati, OH - 10/2/76 also reached the same position. It spent just one frame at No. 2 before disappearing — a showing that's not uncommon for Grateful Dead releases. The band often issues these archival live sets in limited quantities that sell extremely well out of the gate and then vanish from Billboard's rosters within a matter of days. The band has now debuted three projects on the Top Album Sales chart in 2025 alone. In April, between the two Dave's Picks entries, Beacon Theatre, New York, NY - 6/14/76 also appeared on the tally. It, too, stuck around for just one frame, but it peaked at a much lower No. 27. Throughout the years, the Grateful Dead has collected 46 top 10 placements on the Top Album Sales chart, surely one of the most impressive runs of bestsellers among all acts. Just one of those sets has reached the summit. A milestone 10, including the group's latest offering, have missed the mark by a single rung.
