Lana Del Rey's Album Is Truly In A League Of Its Own
As she readies her next album, Lana Del Rey's debut full-length just won't quit. Born to Die can still be found on a number of Billboard rankings, not only racking up a huge number of streams every frame, but also continuing to sell well more than a decade after its release. The continued and unending popularity of the full-length can be clearly seen by its performance on one ranking in particular this week. Born to Die climbs from No. 22 to No. 20 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart, Billboard's list of the most consumed full-lengths and EPs in those styles in the United States. As of this frame, Del Rey's classic has now spent 550 weeks on that tally. That's an incredible length of time for any project to manage on any list, and Del Rey stands alone as she hits that figure. Born to Die is the only title on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart this week that has reached 500 weeks. It beats the next longest-running effort by almost 100 frames — and certainly well over a year. Hozier's self-titled release is up to 463 stays somewhere on the genre-specific ranking, and it's also holding on. The projects that are currently present on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart that have managed at least 400 weeks include Creedence Clearwater Revival's Chronicle (434 weeks), Fleetwood Mac's Rumours (428), Journey's Greatest Hits (417), Metallica's self-titled effort (416), Bon Jovi's Greatest Hits (410), and both Tom Petty's Greatest Hits and AC/DC's Back in Black, which are tied with 402 frames apiece. Throughout her career, Del Rey has sent half a dozen releases to the Top Rock & Alternative Albums tally. Born to Die is one of only two No. 1s, joining Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. It is far and away her most successful, and in fact, it's the only full-length from the singer-songwriter to manage triple-digit stays. Her Paradise EP, which arrived the same year Born to Die debuted, has thus far only collected 44 frames on the ranking.

The Eagles Soar On The Billboard Charts Once More
For months now, the Eagles have been performing a few concerts at a time at the hottest new venue in Las Vegas, the Sphere. The group is one of only a handful of acts to headline the massive and technologically impressive space, as the band continues its aptly named residency, Eagles: Live in Concert at the Sphere. As that run of shows continues to grow, fans in the United States keep pressing play on the songs and albums that made the outfit so hugely successful — and worthy of a residency in the first place. This week, the Eagles return to multiple Billboard rankings with classics and longtime favorites. The band mounts its momentary comeback with both an album and a song. Usually, with a legacy act, it's one or the other that performs well. There aren't many that can succeed with decades-old tunes and collections, but the Eagles are one of the few that can. The group's sole hit at the moment is "Hotel California," which is widely regarded as not just the most successful tune by the Eagles, but perhaps the group's best as well. That track is a worldwide sensation once more as it returns to the Billboard Global 200. That tally, which was introduced about half a decade ago, ranks the most-consumed songs throughout the world using a methodology that blends sales and streaming activity. This frame, the Eagles smash sits at No. 186 on the tally. It may currently rank fairly low on the 200-spot roster, but "Hotel California" has actually never cracked the upper half of the list in the 122 frames it has spent on the Billboard Global 200. The Eagles' classic has only flown as high as No. 132. Streams and sales of "Hotel California" are helping fuel the Eagles' compilation Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975. Already one of the most successful collections of all time, the title appears on a trio of Billboard rankings this frame. It reenters the Top Rock Albums roster at No. 24, while also rising several spots on both the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart (No. 30) and the Billboard 200 (No. 139). Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975 has spent hundreds of weeks on each of those rankings, though the exact amount of time varies quite a bit from list to list. It's up to 259 frames on the Top Rock Albums chart and is nearing 500 on the Billboard 200. While the project has peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — the most competitive albums ranking in America — it only climbed as high as No. 8 on the genre-specific tallies. One might assume the opposite would be true, as competition isn't as tough on style-focused rosters, though those weren't introduced until long after the Eagles released the collection. The Eagles are slated to finish the Las Vegas residency at the Sphere this coming November. The group began the run in September of last year and it has been marketed – rather intensely – as a farewell. Due to what must be incredible demand, multiple shows have been added several times. At some point, though, the band will finally have to end the show and walk away for good.

Fleetwood Mac Reaches A New Career High Point with 'Rumours'
Fleetwood Mac's Rumours hits a new high on the Top Streaming Albums chart, earning the group a new ... More best showing on the list. Image dated September 18, 1976. (Photo by CBS via Getty Images) Fleetwood Mac's Rumours will never not be famous (borrowing some internet lingo there). The masterpiece remains one of the most commercially-beloved and critically-adored titles of all time. The pop-rock band's hit-laden collection is one of a number of releases that has earned a constant presence on the Billboard charts, but this is an especially busy week for the project. As the album rises on multiple lists, it climbs higher than ever on one in particular, proving that there's still an insatiable desire among fans to revisit the singles that turned it into a behemoth in the first place. Billboard only introduced the Top Streaming Albums chart a relatively short time ago, so classic releases and superstar musicians regularly reach new peaks as listeners turn to past favorites — sometimes turning them into streaming successes for the first time. This week, Rumours jumps 15 spaces on the Top Streaming Albums ranking, leaping from No. 49 to No. 34. That's a new high point for the full-length, and since it's the only title from Fleetwood Mac to ever appear on this tally, the band reaches a new peak as well. As it rockets up the streaming-only ranking, Rumours also climbs on four other Billboard charts, though its ascent is less dramatic. The title nears the summit once again on both the Top Rock Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums rosters, settling at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively. At the same time, it also returns to the top 10 on the Top Album Sales chart, which focuses on the bestselling releases in the U.S., combining digital and physical purchases. Rumours jumps from No. 36 to No. 9 in that case. The collection is also rising on the Billboard 200, stepping up five spaces to No. 25. Luminate reports that in the past tracking week, Rumours sold 4,400 copies — enough to make it one of the top 10 bestselling releases in the country. A large number of those must have been on wax, as the collection reenters the Vinyl Albums chart at No. 7. It's the only list where the project had to return, since last week the chart was flooded with Record Store Day exclusives, which have now mostly disappeared. As Rumours climbs the Top Streaming Albums list and reaches a new peak, one tune stands out. 'Dreams' is one of Fleetwood Mac's most beloved cuts, and a streaming favorite to this day. The track lifts to No. 42 on the all-genre, all-style, all-language Streaming Songs chart. It also inches back into the top five on the Rock Streaming Songs ranking, pushing from No. 6 to No. 4.

Fleetwood Mac Scores A New Hit Album In America — Without New Music
Fleetwood Mac's retrospective box set Fleetwood Mac 1975–1987 debuts on three Billboard charts, ... More despite the fact that it features no new music. UNITED STATES - OCTOBER 01: NEW HAVEN Photo of FLEETWOOD MAC, L-R: John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, Christone McVie, Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood - posed, group shot, by car - MusicBrainz: bd13909f-1c29-4c27-a874-d4aaf27c5b1a (Photo by Fin Costello/Redferns) Fleetwood Mac hasn't dropped a new album in many years, and won't be doing so again. The group's iconic catalog continues to deliver to this day, as people all around the world keep buying and streaming, no matter how much time passes. This week, a newly-issued retrospective box set titled Fleetwood Mac 1975-1987 earns a solid entrance across a trio of Billboard charts, even though most of the people who rushed to the project almost surely know the material by heart at this point. The newly-released collection Fleetwood Mac 1975–1987 kicks off its chart run by appearing on three Billboard charts. On the Billboard 200, the all-genre roster that tracks the most-consumed albums in the U.S., the set opens at No. 109. The release fares even better on genre-specific lists. It debuts at No. 18 on the Top Rock Albums chart, and enters at No. 23 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums ranking. Fleetwood Mac 1975–1987 becomes the band's first new placement on the Billboard 200 in about a year and a half. That's not a long stretch, especially considering the fact that the band isn't producing truly new music. The last time Fleetwood Mac debuted a project on the chart was in September 2023, when Rumours: Live arrived at No. 81. That effort was also pulled from the vaults, and like this new box set, it showed that even decades-old recordings can turn into healthy wins for one of the most celebrated bands in rock history. With this week's new arrival, Fleetwood Mac has now pushed 31 different titles to the Billboard 200 across its lengthy career. The new compilation also gives the band its twelfth placement on both the Top Rock Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums lists. Those tallies didn't exist back when many of the group's biggest albums were released, though. According to Luminate, Fleetwood Mac 1975–1987 moved 11,700 equivalent units in its first tracking frame. That total includes a mix of activity, with around 1,500 pure sales and the rest coming from streaming and track downloads. As the Fleetwood Mac 1975–1987 box set debuts, another of the band's albums continues to show serious staying power. Rumours, widely regarded as one of the greatest rock albums of all time, is still present on five different Billboard rankings this week. It remains inside the top 40 on each of them, including the Billboard 200, and it holds steady within the top five on both rock-specific tallies.

Creed Rises Higher Than Ever With Both Albums And Singles — In The Year 2025
Creed hasn't released a new album in more than a decade, but the rockers still maintain an impressive positioning on the Billboard charts. The outfit once dominated the rankings, and somewhat surprisingly, the band isn't far from the top of several lists this frame. This week, Creed sees both albums and songs reach new heights on multiple rankings. There hasn't been any major promotional push, nor is there any real reason for the group's work to be soaring – the music is just still, somehow, reaching a large audience to this day. The aptly-titled Greatest Hits has been one of Creed's most consistent performers for years now. The compilation appears on five Billboard rankings this frame, and more impressively, it hits a new high on three of them at the same time. The project lifts one space to No. 9 on the Top Alternative Albums chart, edging further into the uppermost tier. The set also climbs on the Top Rock Albums list, stepping up three rungs to No. 13. Over on the more wide-reaching Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart, Greatest Hits ascends to No. 16. The compilation has never risen to high on all three tallies. Not only is Creed's Greatest Hits climbing this frame, it's also celebrating a special milestone on one of the rankings it appears on. The collection has now spent 52 weeks — exactly one year — on the Top Alternative Albums chart. It's also closing in on a similar milestone on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums list. This week marks its fiftieth frame on that ranking, and if it continues to perform well – which seems all but certain – it will likely celebrate a full year on the tally in just two more turns. Creed's chart wins this week aren't limited to its full-lengths. One of the band's most beloved singles, 'One Last Breath,' is also enjoying continued success. The track appears on six Billboard charts this week, and it hits new highs on two of them. The rock anthem improves from No. 10 to No. 9 on the Alternative Digital Song Sales chart. It also climbs from No. 13 to No. 11 on the Rock Digital Song Sales tally, coming close to breaking into the top 10 there for the first time. Both of those placements mark loftiest positions the song has ever seen on those rankings. 'One Last Breath' manages to score a spot inside the top 10 on two rosters in America as well. It slips slightly on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs list, moving down just one rung to No. 2. On the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart, the tune rises to No. 4, just one position shy of its all-time best showing at No. 3. Elsewhere, the song performs well enough to continue charting on both the Alternative Streaming Songs and Rock Streaming Songs rankings. It lands at No. 19 on the former and settles at No. 22 on the latter.
