The Beatles Send Multiple Albums Back To The Billboard Charts
The Beatles return to the Billboard lists with Abbey Road reappearing on the Vinyl Albums chart and ... More 1 reentering the Top Rock & Alternative Albums ranking. The rockers regularly appear on one list or another, as consumption of the band's music remains high, even decades after the musicians went their separate ways. The band does disappear from the rankings occasionally, only to, sometimes, return with multiple wins at once. This week fits into the latter category, as several of The Beatles' most famous releases bounce back onto Billboard's rankings. Abbey Road Becomes a Vinyl Bestseller Again Abbey Road returns to the Vinyl Albums chart this week, landing at No. 19. The former champion is about two months shy of reaching 500 weeks on the list of the bestselling vinyl releases in the U.S. While it might take a few more months or even a year, it's highly likely that The Beatles' bestseller will hit that milestone. The Beatles' 1 Returns At the moment, Abbey Road can be found on only that one list. Meanwhile, 1, one of The Beatles' most famous compilations, returns to a different tally. The compilation reenters the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart this frame, settling in at No. 49, which is second-to-last place. Unlike Abbey Road on the Vinyl Albums chart, 1 has somehow never managed to conquer the Top Rock & Alternative Albums tally. At its peak, the band pushed the compilation to No. 3. The Beatles Join Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift It's a quiet frame in terms of debuts on both the Vinyl Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts. On the vinyl list, The Beatles join Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, SZA, and Kendrick Lamar, as all those artists and others mount comebacks with hugely popular projects. Ozzy Osbourne scores the only debut on the rock and alternative ranking, as The Essential Ozzy Osbourne opens at No. 29 following his final live performance. When it comes to returning favorites, Bruce Springsteen, Blink-182, Kid Rock, and — appropriately, given that the last tracking period included the Fourth of July — the band America all reappear on the ranking alongside The Beatles.

Billie Eilish Rocks Back To No. 1 On Several Billboard Charts
Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft returns to No. 1 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart ... More over a year after release, powered by "Birds of a Feather" and "Wildflower." UNSPECIFIED: (EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE) In this image released on August 11, Billie Eilish performs at the LA28 Olympic Games Handover Celebration. (Photo byfor LA28) Most albums, even those by some of the biggest names in the music industry, don't remain on the Billboard charts for a year. That feat is reserved for collections that a huge number of people not only love when they're brand new, but continue to buy – and especially stream – for months afterward. All of Billie Eilish's projects have reached that milestone on a handful of Billboard's rankings, and even after so much time, her latest is still a champion well over a year after Hit Me Hard and Soft debuted. Hit Me Hard and Soft Jumps Back to No. 1 Hit Me Hard and Soft continues to lead the charge on multiple Billboard tallies, even returning to No. 1 on a highly competitive list. Eilish's most recent project can currently be found on half a dozen of the company's albums charts, and it rules two of them. The singer-songwriter's Grammy-nominated studio effort holds at No. 1 on the Top Alternative Albums ranking, where it has now spent 49 of its 58 frames running the show. At the same time, Hit Me Hard and Soft returns to No. 1 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart. That all-consumption roster includes both styles, making it slightly more competitive. Billie Eilish Replaces Brandon Lake at No. 1 Last time around, Eilish stepped aside so that King of Hearts by Brandon Lake could rule. Now, that Christian musician's full-length dips to No. 7 in its second week on the list, while Eilish rises to the summit once again, earning her forty-third stay at No. 1 with Hit Me Hard and Soft. Hit Me Hard and Soft Lives Inside the Top 20 Eilish's 2024 project is still performing well across four other Billboard tallies, but it doesn't manage to appear inside the top 10 on any of them. The collection is a top 20 win on the Vinyl Albums list (No. 14), Billboard 200 (No. 16), Top Streaming Albums roster (No. 17), and Top Album Sales chart (No. 19). Billie Eilish's Entire Catalog is Charting Eilish's two other full-lengths, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and Happier Than Ever, also live on not only the Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Alternative Albums tallies, but also the Billboard 200. Those full-lengths are largely on the rise on the genre-specific rankings, but dip on the all-style, all-consumption Billboard 200. 'Birds of a Feather' and 'Wildflower' Keep the Album Alive While sales of Hit Me Hard and Soft are still strong — especially for a year-plus-old project — it's streams of several singles from the release that are keeping the full-length going. 'Birds of a Feather' and 'Wildflower' both live on a wide variety of rankings in the U.S., in some instances even appearing inside the top 10. When it comes to 'Birds of a Feather,' the track continues to rule multiple tallies at the same time.
